Tony Schiavone interviewed Jon Moxley inside the ring. He said that when he concussed Hangman Page, he slept like a baby because the BCC works harder and delivers better than anyone else, so they deserve to sleep like babies. When the bell rings, they don't care about the safety of the athletes. He said Page can't get cleared because he's hurt but Moxley has been hurt for a decade and doesn't care. He challenges Hangman to face him in Los Angeles at the Forum and tells him he'll be waiting if Page can get cleared.

That's a big time match for that show to go along with both a potential huge debut in the women's tag and Match 7. Shit looks like a PPV.

AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill defeated Kiera Hogan with Jaded. Red Velvet walked off without Jade and Layla Grey, so the idea appeared to be she was done with the group.

Well that Kiera Hogan split amounted to nothing in the end. She was never presented as being even remotely in Jade’s league.
A waste, like most of Jade’s booking.

The whole point seems to be to set up a feud with Velvet where Keira might help her even the odds because Leila Grey is definitely the weakest link of the three But like, Kiera was never gonna beat Jade for the belt at this stage, I don't know why that'd be expected?

It wasn’t expected, that’s the problem.
Kiera is actually quite talented. There is nothing stopping them from doing more with her. But this whole thing was so lazy and because it’s Jade, she just wins again.
Also Jade vs. Velvet AGAIN? Way to think outside the box there AEW.
It was wasted potential, it’s that simple.

The main event is Swerve Strickland vs. Wheeler Yuta. Swerve has Mogul Associates with him. Yuta was alone. They had a long back and forth bout. Strickland scored the pin after a low blow and his Driver finisher.

Velvet vs Jade is a rivalry, and it's a good one given it was Jade's first match period and they work super well together, I am happy with them running it back because there's most history there than most with Jade Hogan losing sets up a Velvet feud where they're fed up with Jade being the center of attention, I'm fine with this, I know you aren't, you're not gonna be satisfied until Jade drops the belt, but they're trying something that's going somewhere at least

I will say Jade and Velvet have oddly great chemistry so if they're just buying time for Statlander to come back, that will be a fine TV match.

I have no interest in seeing Velvet lose to Jade yet again.
I’m sorry, having Kiera lose just to set up another Jade vs. Velvet match, is a waste of the former. I stand by that.
This company has SO MANY talented women They could do stuff with, and they just don’t.

This company has SO MANY talented women They could do stuff with, and they just don’t. They gave Hogan a great match with Athena on DARK and a TV title match with Jade, that is doing something with a talented woman, it's just something you don't personally like because Jade didn't lose I'm sorry but it's pretty apparent you aren't going to be happy with anything until Jade loses, which that's fine, but it doesn't mean it's garbage, the crowd loves Jade, they aren't turning on her, if anything they're getting more into her, they have no reason to pivot right now until they decide she should lose. Whether that's Velvet, or Statlander when she comes back, or someone else. The division has more talent and more feuds than ever, Jade's eventually gonna lose, it's a matter of when.

On that note here's some wholesome Jon Moxley:
After the taping ended, Jon Moxley came out and put over the Colorado fans. He said they weren't truly back until they got back to Colorado. He asked the fans to come back and bring their friends with them and everyone in AEW will bust their ass for them. He said he wanted to make this one of the home bases for AEW. He said it just started snowing and asked everyone to get home safe and if anyone was drinking, to get an Uber or a sober driver to get them home

Jade’s TV segments haven’t been doing that great recently. So that’s debatable. The crowds are also into other women as well. Kiera got a match on YouTube, and got to be jobbed out to Jade. Oh yeah, that’s totally fantastic. I want the TBS Belt to actually feel relevant. I want the other talented women to actually have something to fight over. That belt is worthless at this point, it’s just the Jade vanity belt. It’s one step forward two steps back for this division.

That belt is worthless at this point, it’s just the Jade vanity belt. It’s one step forward two steps back for this division. Not at all, not in the slightest lmfao You hate Jade so much it's hurting your overall enjoyment of a division that is on the fast rise And Jade is super over with crowds, this isn't a debate, and other women being over doesn't handwave her being over, I would need to look at her matches and if they're losing viewers consistently, but they're also squash matches which can lose viewers very commonly. We don't even know if Kiera got squashed, either. Jade gave Vertvixen like 5 minutes, so who knows. Belts not worthless, it's worthless to you, I guess, doesn't mean no one cares for it or it doesn't matter or won't matter when Jade loses The division's in the best position it's been in a long time, if ever, I really don't give enough of a shit about Jade currently to say it's holding it back, it's really not. Kia Forum Dynamite might have one of the biggest moments in the divisions history too, so whatever, if you're angry about it fine, but it doesn't speak for the general view of Jade as a whole or the division.

I feel like the goal is for Jade to lose all her baddies and without anyone in her corner, she loses her title.
Granted Kiera and Velvet get jobbed out for all of this, but I think them finding their own footing is better than them just standing around being ineffective bad guys with Jade. It's taking a million years to get there, but it's something.

I like the idea of Jade being too wrapped up in keeping the TBS Title and her win streak in tact that she gradually alienates the Baddies and a babyface challenger swoops in to beat Jade for the belt.

For the tag match tonight, after Mox hit the DDT on the outside, and Claudio was just staring at him. This was while Claudio tried to pick one guy up, but he kept falling back down, Claudio wasn't gonna do anything while the guy couldn't defend himself. It wasn't until getting slapped that Claudio hit the uppercut.

I think they're gonna do an injury angle with Page hurting Mox and with Mox now having a kid he takes it differently but he also thinks Page did it on purpose

Will Washington is at the show and said the PA announced Wight as the new commentator for Rampage so may be a permanent move That would officially end JR's commentary run for the beginning of 2023 Which would be a huge deal Apparently it was just to let JR see the Oklahoma game according to the Observer: Jim Ross was not on the taped Rampage show this week, as the broadcast team was Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Paul Wight. It’s not anything significant. Tony Khan gave Ross the week off so he could attend the Cheez-It Bowl in Orlando with his favorite University of Oklahoma vs. Florida State. He’ll be back for the show in Portland this coming week
