Men’s Rumble surprises I’m calling are Zach Ryder, Pat McAfee, Ken Shamrock, and weirdly Tatanka… I also expect Carmelo Hayes to be an odd Ironman performance in this. I'd be up for a Shamrock cameo. He hasn't been back at all since he left back in 99 (or was it 2000?), right?

Since it’s the Alamo Dome, we better get golf carts again even if it’s off camera

So, there are 11 spots open in the men's match and 18 in the women's.
For the men's, I say we get Gable, Otis, Edge, Nakamura, Priest, Balor, the Profits, Cardona/Ryder, McAfee, and either Solo or Sami. For the women, I'm thinking Becky, Nikki, Doudrop/Piper, Chelsea Green, Mickie again for shits and gigs, Indi, Mia, Tegan, Ronda, Roxanne Perez for the hometown showcase, Naomi (my boldest predicition) and some assortment of legends (though probably not the Bellas this year, lmao)
Can't watch live this year but I still think it's Cody's and Rhea's to lose, but I wouldn't be shocked if Raquel pulled it off.

They've already sold a few thousand more tickets than last year's show (44,417 as of this morning according to Wrestletix compared to 38,694 morning of last year) which both is and isn't surprising. Last years non-Rumble matches in particular felt way bigger with Roman/Seth and Brock/Bobby for the first time ever. The company in general though feels way hotter than last year. Basically every metric is up in the 6 months since HHH took over. His first Summerslam and Survivor Series delivered but he was always going to be judged more on his first Rumble and Mania.
The 97 Rumble in the Alamadome had sold around 28,000 tickets the week of the show according to Meltzer and they basically started giving them away in the final days. The 2017 Rumble also in the dome was announced as 52,000 by WWE so the real number was likely around 45,000 or so similar to this one. That one had bigger names like Cena/Undertaker/Goldberg all advertised though.

Seth gets #1 so the fans can do a full round of singing. Cody is #2 so he gets a full entrance and Seth can look shocked.

Should be Rhea winning the Women's Rumble, but I've got this feeling that Charlotte is going to win it.
I think they want Title VS Title

Should really be a mention in there of Dolph being in the most consecutive Rumbles. Hope that continues tonight.

I buy scratch offs every Rumble, and I succeeded at getting the last 30 Tic Tac Triplers that were in stock today? Maybe it's a sign of good luck lol
I clearly need more sleep because I was looking at that graphic up there wondering when Jericho was in a five hour long rumble. Then I realized.

Looking at Rumble Records that could be beaten tonight.
Mens
If Orton ends up being a suprise entrant and lasts over 25 Minutes, he could overtake Jericho in having spent the most time in a Rumble.. It's a long shot but if Rey Mysterio could last 45 Minutes he too could overtake Jericho.
If Braun Strowman eliminates anyone he will move into outright 4th in the all time eliminations ahead of Stone cold... If the off chance he got 6 Eliminations he could move into 2nd overtaking Taker and HBK.. Extremely unlikely but 11 eliminations would see him overtake Kane and have the most eliminations of all time.
Brock Lesnar could also overtake the likes of Big Show, Roman Reigns and Triple H and move up the most eliminations.
Womans.
If Natalya is in the Womans Rumble, she could overtake Flair and Belair as having spent the most time in a Womans Rumble if she lasts 9+ Minutes.
Shayna Baszler could have the most eliminations if she gets 2 or eliminations, Rhea Ripley could also do so if she gets 3 or more.
I love Rumble facts so look forward to seeing how things go.

Technically Kane should have 47 Eliminations. He was already eliminated in 2013, when Cesaro threw Daniel Bryan over the top rope. Kane caught him and then dropped him. But, WWE credits Cesaro with the elimination, even though they have counted people that were already eliminated eliminating people.

No Mountain Dew on my end, but I'll definitely be tuning in for the Rumble match. Expecting Cody, hoping Sami, and crossing fingers it isn't anyone else.

But, WWE credits Cesaro with the elimination, even though they have counted people that were already eliminated eliminating people. Either way Kane really has no claim to the elimination. All he did was drop Bryan after he had already been thrown over. Cesaro is the one who actually threw him over the top rope. It's not like he even helped pulled him over or pulled him off the apron like a lot of those eliminations they where they give credit to people already eliminated.

Yeah, their reunion is coming soon.
Pretty sure last night when he was holding the chair and looking at Sami he said something like "they'll use this on you soon, just wait and see." He knows it's coming, he's done everything to try and warn Sami and ultimately he'll be there to help him pick up the pieces when it happens.
The thing I like about this in particular is normally a babyface would look like an idiot immediately teaming with someone who was just trying to screw them over but KO has no right to be holier than thou about Sami attacking him at Survivor Series etc after all the times he turned on Sami. I like that KO's angle hasn't been "I'm going to kill Sami for betraying me", it's been more "I know I kinda deserve it due to my past actions but I'm still worried about what's going to happen to you and I'll have your back when you eventually see sense."

I just had a horrible thought. I think Charlotte is going to enter the women's Rumble and win so she can try to unify the titles. It's telling to me they made the Deville match for next Smackdown and haven't booked her for the PPV at all. I have a tough time not seeing her on the show. You've heard it here first.
Also what's the deal with Becky not being announced yet? They can't even bother to announce their biggest female star for the show but yet announce all these lower card women? Shows how tame she's been sicne coming back. Unless I guess she's injured or something. Or are they trying to sell that she can't compete after the beatdown on Raw which really wasn't that bad of a beatdown that would make you think it would take somebody out.
