1. Actraiser Renaissance First game of 2023 completed. Actraiser Renaissance. A remake of the SNES Enix classic which I never had gotten round to play. A game of two halfs. The first is a good old fashioned 2d side scrolling arcade slash em up. The second, which is a bigger part of the game is a God/sim city dynamic.play time clocked in at just over 25 hours

2: Steelrising
Another year, more Soulsbornes!
This one was right in the middle of the road. Better than jank things like Dolmen and Hellpoint, but not quite to Mortal Shell. Seemed a bit easier than the typical Soulslike. No complaints. I’ll probably check out the DLC when it goes on sale.

1: Pokemon Blue
Started this over a year ago while streaming it for friends, but health issues made me put it off for a while before picking it up again and beating it. A fun game despite all the jank and bugs it has, and managed to beat it while pretty underlevelled for the elite four.
Now I've started Pokemon Crystal, and a fun thing I do with Pokemon is ask friends for which mon they would want named after them and going off that. Slowpoke is currently the mvp of that run.

I'm late to the party, but I finally got around to play TellTale's 'The Walking Dead - The Final Season'.
I am not ashamed to say I had very moist eyes at the end.

2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Just doing some Classic runs but hey, it counts. Not a mode I touch that much since finishing up with getting 9.9 with every character but every now and then it's fun to mess around with.

3. Rygar (PS2)
I remember this game blowing me away as a kid but now it's just a reminder how much the average game's story and combat have improved since then.

2. The Last of Us (the original version)
In preparation for the TV series, I felt like playing this. I also had to note that it was the original version because the remake was released months ago. I am aware that there are graphical differences, but not sure about gameplay. I heard some slight changes were made, though.
Because I played it in hard mode, I felt more of a challenge. Still had some good gameplay, but what really stands out is the story, as well as the performances from the actors. I had heard it was more than just voice-acting, but also motion-capturing. I also think I came across some other things that I never noticed. Maybe when I go through New Game+ in hard mode I will try to get more of the collectibles and weapon upgrades as I recall that stats carry over.
I am in the mood to do Part II, but I will do Left Behind first. As I had noted in past threads, story DLC packs can count.

Ok. So I beat God of War (2018) yesterday. Great game with a good story and fighting mechanics. Graphics are awesome as well. This is the PC port by the way.
Also, I just beat MegaMan 1 & 2 for the umpteenth time. Next is probably MM3.

Note: In the past, I have stated that story DLC packs can count as their own entity. For example, if I do "Grand Theft Auto IV," I could list "The Lost and Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony" as their own entities. The same could be said if I did "Sleeping Dogs" and included "Nightmare in North Point" and "The Year of the Snake." I also did that with "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and that bit with Lara in the mansion. Ergo, the following should as its own entity.
3. The Last of Us: Left Behind
Although I wanted to do Part II, I wasn't going to do that without playing this one first. Plus, it appears that the TV show will touch on the story from this DLC.
As short as it is, it's good with its approach in two different stories. One is about Ellie taking care of Joel and finding something to patch him up with, not to mention it happened right after the bit at the university. The other is about Ellie's friendship with Riley, a character who was mentioned during the main game.
Also, the parts with Ellie and Riley were fun and cute, while the parts with Ellie finding some medicine and first aid were intense.
I will get to Part II really soon. Yes, I know that it's controversial among gamers. Some people did not like it (and are very vocal about it), others, like myself, actually did like the game.

1: LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (PS3)
Loved replaying this after a decade plus but then again I'm a sucker for Lego games in general. Having it on ps plus is a bonus as you don't have to contend with PS3 controllers which sadly have had their day.

1. Destroy all Humans remake- never played it when it originally came out and I knew basically nothing about it either didn't realize there would be so much stealth in it or rather having not be discovered, where I always thought it was just gonna be make as much chaos as possible. ah well not bad overall though some of the missions (escort missions in particular) were very annoying

3. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
I mean I guess you could say this was my third playthrough? I've really just been rapidly fast-forwarding through it without actually reading it because they're removing it from Gamepass today and it's a good game to milk for easy achievements for Rewards points, I last beat it a year ago on the Switch so not actually been paying much attention or anything.

1. GTA 4. The main story for now, might try Liberty City Stories later.
It was all right. Had fun. That said, it didn't offer much outside the main missions, and you didn't really have a lot to spend your cash on.
Like, comparing it to the last GTA I played which was San Andreas... technically tried 5, but after the first mission there was a drop in speed so I had to get a refund. Did try playing San Andreas on the PS2 after finishing 4. Gotta say the controls in 4 were easier, while in San Andreas the roads felt greasy and harder to control.

1. Earthbound
Bought a Switch for Christmas and decided to revisit an old favorite. Even had the patience to farm the Sword of Kings, which I'd never done before.
2. Nier Replicant, all endings
Prob'ly the most feels-abusing game I've played in recent memory.
I'm also partway into a playthrough of the original Breath of Fire, so that'll eventually make the list.

4. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Crazy how this game is the building block of the entire Assassin's Creed franchise, and is better than almost all of them.

Mega Man 3 through 7 have been beaten. Wily part 2 in 7 is ridiculous. Took me some time to beat him. Playing 8 now.

4. Super Mario 64
Kind of surprised it took me this long to get to it, though being fair I only last played through it in like June or so. Kind of just a game I find it easy to come back to over and over again, easy way to kill a few hours.

1. Stardew Valley
Might be cheating since there's not really an "end", but I completed the community center, got the best rating from Grandpa and have seen pretty much everything so what the hell.
