John Elway would be Cena. They both constantly overcome the odds.

He's not going to be traded. He has since said he does not want to be traded, and even if he's lying, there's no way the Packers front office actually does it.

I will agree with you 100% about Manning. He was the big hero around here when he played for UT, but we didn't win a championship until he was gone to the NFL and Tee Martin was starting. Never heard of Tee Martin? Odds are, unless you're a UT fan, or a fan of whoever we beat for the championship that year (As in "Who the wax is Tee Martin!!! ) no one else has either. To tell the truth, Peyton always striked me as a bit of a crybaby. He's always yelling at his line, regardless of their play. When he banged his thumb on someone's helmet, he was walking around the sidelines, looking like he'd cry at any moment, telling his backup to get ready. Say what you will about Favre, but I've seen the man cough up blood on the sideline after a hit and go back out and finish the game. Yes, I've heard of Tee Martin. I even watched some of the games that he played in. I'm a Badger fan at heart, but when it's College Football Saturday I'm all about the College Football, so I've seen quite a few games over the years. I thought Tee Martin was good, but I also had the thought process of dropping Peyton Manning his rookie year for another player in Fantasy Football, and I was in a keeper league. I could hear Red Forman calling me "Dumb ass" over that one ... ;D

Tee Martin and the rest of the Vols broke my heart in 98 after Stoerner fumbled.

As I said earlier, Favre just needs to keep his mouth shut. Before last season he said "This is the most talented team I ever had around me". Then this happens, The last time I remember Peyton Manning saying anything "controversial" was after the loss to Pittsburgh in the AFC Divisional playoff game where he said "I'm trying to be a good teammate here, but we had problems with protection.". Which was true, the Steelers were getting to him that whole game.
I don't hate Favre or anything, even as a suffering Lions fan. But the guy should be greatful, he's had a great career, even if he's failed in the playoffs more than he has succeeded. It could have been alot worse for him. Imagine if he had never been traded from Atlanta..or instead would have been traded to a team other than Green Bay. Maybe he still would have ended up becoming a superstar. But not nearly in the same way he has been with the Packers.
In the end, I just think the guy should be greatful that his career turned out the way it has.
