It's a bit different since we didn't know it was going long but Bryan's hour long match with Hangman proved to me it could be done in the modern era.

I'm always super wary of Iron man matches but I remember thinking the Cena/Orton one was going to be the worst thing ever and actually ended up loving it

MJF goes up 2-0 early in the match, like 5 minutes in. Just walks out after that gets counted out once and never returns to the ring to start the next match.
