Shelton Benjamin shocks the world and wins the Rumble from the #1 position. The man who just surpassed 20 years in the WWE without ever fully reaching his potential scores a shocking win and gets to go for the big one against Roman w/Paul Heyman, who has history with Shelton, Brock and Roman. Shelton gets backup from Brock, who helps his buddy fight off the Bloodline before Shelton actually beats Roman.
Yeah, it's crazy and won't happen, but it'd be fun.

Miz wins the Rumble, but he declares he wants to go for the Intercontinental Championship, because it’s his belt and he wants the record.
Because then you can actually have the Elimination Chamber mean something, because unless you split the belts before Mania, what do you even do for a Men’s Chamber match?
(And, no, even I wouldn’t have Miz beat Gunther, but the loss at Mania would lead to a face turn where he’s determined to earn the belt instead of using his usual cheap tricks.)

Yeah, we need a "Greece Euro 2004" winner already. It could make a new star or be a hilarious flop, but at least give it a shot.

Ziggler if he enters this year's rumble has his 16th attempt at winning one. You could sell that his experience means he knows all of the tricks required to win.

Ezekiel.
Elias enters #2 and performs a nice insult filled concert on #1 entry Seth Rollins. Rollins quickly tosses him. Giving him enough time to get his brother Ezekiel ready in the 26th spot
Zeke makes a triumphant return to a massive pop since we all thought that his career was over. He last stands toe to toe with The Rock, who eliminates himself like his idol The Juice did. Zeke then helps Kevin Owens beat Roman in the Main Event, setting up the real Mania Main Event, Ezekiel vs Kevin Owens. All proving that Vince is back in charge.

I know she's going to be pushed soon in the woman's division but... Number 30 Rhea Ripley coming out and winning the men's rumble would be amazing.

Solo. I think he could be dark horse choice if plans with The Rock fall through. The build could have Roman trying to bully Solo into not taking the match or laying down for him. Might be a bit early to put Solo in the Main Event but I would be very interested.

Kane comes back to win the Rumble but as he's celebrating, he falls off the turnbuckle and hits his head on the ring apron which causes him to suffer amnesia. He no longer is mayor and then in an Overboard scenario, MVP takes him under his wing to show him what it means to be a truly generous man as he accepts the new him to challenge Roman at Mania.

Akira Tozawa.
Why because... I just wanted to pick one of the most random people I could but let's see if I can write this.
I mean easy enough to set him up as an underdog that Roman doesn't sweat.
Have him face off with a few main event\ upper mid heels before Mania where he uses his skill abd heart to beat them definitely (ie not count out roll up whatever)
Still Roman basically taunts that he has no chance and he is taking it easy until after Mania. Maybe he even gives the rest of the bloodline the night off.
Then in the match Tozawa has counters for some of Roman's big spots, Roman can't keep him down.
Then either the bloodline interfere because lol Roman (with the obvious hit to Roman that he needed the help when he claimed that it was going to be easy) or Tozawa pulls a win out.
If a. They'd have to keep Tozawa doing something and they'd have a new upper midcarder... b is tougher but I think booking him as a fighting champion for a bit could work.
As for if the crowd could get behind him he got the crowd to chant his grunts as a call and response chant so i think he absolutely could if treated with some respect.

Well if the Rumble stipulation is that the winner gets control of the WWE we’ll know who’s winning. lol

LA Knight dummy, yeah. hides from bray during the lights out match by being in the one place bray can't find him. in the middle of the rumble where it is clearly lit. eventually is chased out of the ring and laid out by bray but never liminated. Knight comes to at the end of the match, runs in and tosses the last person in the match over the top rope for the win. is then murdered by bray when the lights out match actually begins afterwards.

I'd take almost anyone but The Rock. I'm not even too mad about the idea of The Rock being involved at Mania (ideally, he'd be the special guest ref/enforcer for Cody/Roman though, rather than actually facing Roman). I just really don't want him winning the Rumble. I hate part timers winning the rumble.
Anyways, my pitch is Cliff "Dice Domino" Compton

Miz wins the Rumble, but he declares he wants to go for the Intercontinental Championship, because it’s his belt and he wants the record. Because then you can actually have the Elimination Chamber mean something, because unless you split the belts before Mania, what do you even do for a Men’s Chamber match? (And, no, even I wouldn’t have Miz beat Gunther, but the loss at Mania would lead to a face turn where he’s determined to earn the belt instead of using his usual cheap tricks.) Now that I think about it, it would also be an excellent way to give Roman something to do before Mania. Miz chooses the IC belt, Roman calls Miz a coward, Miz reminds Roman that he’s the last guy to defeat Roman for a title, but he wants HIS Intercontinental championship. The increasingly paranoid Tribal Chief thinks this is either Miz’s mind games or, more likely, massive disrespect, because how dare Miz, or anyone for that matter, not want to try and win the prize he’s held for over two years. So Roman has the Bloodline attack Miz, the next week, Miz responds, noting that after he beat Reigns at RAW 25, Roman has learned, he went and got himself his own entourage, like the one he had five years ago, but Miz has learned as well, he knows that Roman and his tribe will go to any length to win at Wrestlemania, and while Miz has made allies with the likes of Ciampa and Bronson Reed, there’s no way he could possibly win the numbers game. But why would he even want to? By barely defending the belts, by barely being on the shows, as far as he’s concerned, that belt barely matters. But the Intercontinental title, the one he helped elevate from irrelevance, the one Dolph Ziggler risked his career to win from him, the one Sheamus and Gunther nearly killed each other for in Wales, the true workhorse title? That’s the prize he wants, that’s the prize that matters. Roman can’t have that, he beats the crap out of Miz, then tells Adam Pearce he wants Miz one on one at Elimination Chamber, and since Miz says he cares more about the IC belt, that he wants it to be a non title match. Of course Roman wins at EC, but Miz puts up a fight, refusing to go down easily, and even though he doesn’t need to, he still has the Bloodline there to interfere. Then Roman can fight whoever wins the Chamber match, which in This scenario would be between Cody vs. Seth Vs Sheamus vs Sami vs Lashley vs Drew. This sets up what would be a great Chamber match, gives Roman a reasonably fresh match to kill time until Mania, and sets Miz up for a match against Gunther at Mania, which is now between newly face underdog Miz against Gunther, who has Imperium with him but Miz can have Reed or possibly a returning Ciampa to counter them. Mostly I love the idea of someone turning down the chance to face Roman and it driving him over the edge in his paranoia.
