10. I've probably seen shows I enjoyed as much, but I don't know of one I enjoyed more.

6...
Great ending...
Not sold on Total Nonstop Jarrett but the crowd is fun.
The audio botches were absolutely uncalled for but Mox made the segment hilarious.
The commentary fighting is stupid as all hell and any cuteness they think they garner is long gone.
Aubrey standing tall was great as well as the crowd energy.
Solid show for me that was fun...A hot crowd makes every show better...
They have things to work on especially with this new production direction.
Edited...Forgot about the shout-out to THOSE 3

Disco Inferno and Jim Cornette got positive shoutouts on TV, letting them cling onto the delusions of relevance. Darby Allin won a title, Jay Lethal was on TV with that horrible theme, we got WWE camera cuts, and a JAS beatdown segment. On the plus side, Britt's best promo to date, a focus on story, and the set revamps look decent.
It was a show where it felt like a lot happened, but a lot of it was stuff I really didn't like, so I can't rate this one high but if they keep a similar style with booking less targeted to all the things I hate in AEW, this could be a decent year.

The Disco and Cornette shouts were obviously supposed to get heat, trouble is they got a bigger pop from the crowd than they were hoping.

Ok those shoutouts were NOT positive, Inferno literally got a "WHO?" from Tony and everyone booed Cornette and Danielson told MJF to shut up. I also don't agree on the camera cuts being "WWE" whatsoever, they clamed down as the night went on too. WWE camera cuts legitimately throw me off, nothing threw me off too bad tonight

Crowd wasn't really popping for them, they were more going "OOOOOH" because MJF was shouting them out at all, these weren't being used as a positive regardless, it was supposed to make MJF look like a moron and he was treated like one

Still, the best way to treat both Cornette and Inferno is the old Paul Anka mantra. "Just don't look, just don't look" and also don't give them screentime even for heel heat.

That's very understandable, but treating them like scabs doesn't bother me either, MJF's an asshole trying to use other assholes to get under peoples skin, it's perfectly within his character as was Danielson perfectly in the right to shut him down for it

I get not liking the shout out, but it was clearly meant to get boos. My issue was more aside from maybe Cornette for obvious reasons I don't think fans care enough about the others. While Eric has been critical of AEW when asked he's appeared on the show and honestly if asked would probably do it again and then praise AEW and Disco is just irrelevant.

I admittedly was splitting my attention between this episode, Wrestle Kingdom, and the Devils game on TNT, but what I made out of it came off very strong. I even thought the women's tag wasn't as bad as some are saying, but that might've been me not focusing enough. Either way, I'll likely give the show another viewing to try and get a fuller picture. Can agree the MJF/Danielson promo went just a bit too long (crowd was hot for it, though, which helped), but otherwise it's very hard to complain, a lot of strong action, mostly strong promos, and some continued story set up. Give us Crime Boss Shida, pls; she's got the real sounding argument of "you're all overlooking me, the longest reigning champion and one of the company's top merch movers, so @#$% all of you". And if it turns out SHE'S the one who teams with Mercedes (assuming that's still in the cards), all the better, I'm down for seeing what that'd be like. Was going with a 5 but I bump it up to a 6 for Sting showing up at the end. Always curious about posts like these; not saying "how dare you have an opinion" or anything, but what had you rating it that low? It's always interesting to hear when there's a show that's widely praised or panned and hearing what people with a different perspective have to say.

The Mox-Page promo was clunky, some of it wasn't their fault because of the mic not working. The women's match was sloppy, I love Red Velvet but I'm not looking forward to her being fed to Jade.....again.

I bumped my rating up to 9 when I thought about the Caster rap and MJF's references out of 10, IMHO.

9.
The classic false finish in the tag match was the first time in a very long time I fell for a fake out.
Bring back the tunnels, I like the set but without them it feels way too much like WWE.
Fox v Swerve was the match of the night
Darby was a feel-good ending

Gave it a 9...the best weekly show I've seen from any promotion in months...
Only things I didn't care for was the Baddies implosion makes no sense when Red Velvet was pretty much replaced anyway with Grey and looks like she's just being set up to take seemingly the 10th L to Jade...
Also not a fan of the JAS beatdown after the match....seems that more often than not whenever Jericho loses a match that's always the outcome...

Yeah, I forgot about that but the reaction was pretty universal in the live thread. That post match beat down was old and tired. Starks should have completely prevailed tonight.
