It must absolutely suck living in Angel Grove, I'll tell you what. Why even bother having buildings or any sort of infrastructure whatsoever? They're just gonna be knocked down by a giant pig monster or something. I always found it funny that no matter how bad the battles are, how many buildings get destroyed, no one ever dies. They only say that so the Power Rangers don't feel bad |

That is actually something what I would be interested in asking the people behind Power Rangers:
-The reason why they didn't set it in a big existing city like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston etc. just like the Sentai series usually were set in the Tokyo area?
I can only presume that they wanted to avoid confusion by no discernable landmarks of the respective cities being visible in stock footage while they could not very well set the American show in Tokyo.
Still makes it funny why the baddies have such an interest into a podunk town like Angel Grove and not attacking one of the major US capitals.

An episode of Turbo established the existence of a city wide alarm. And the monsters start small, that gives Angel Grove citizens at least some time to get to safety. |

I haven't seen it I was a kid but was it ever established that they get superhuman strength/fighting knowledge from transformation? Cuz if not it's awfully convenient They were already in karate classes before being selected as Rangers in the first episode..weren’t they? Or am I remembering wrong? After the first few seasons, like when the little boy became a ranger, i have no idea |
