So, I am currently since October trying to systemetically watch through Bob's Burgers (one season per month) and, since my nephew started the watching the show a couple of months ago, doing the same with The Simpsons (the only difference being...in that speed, I will be caught up with Bob's Burgers this year while it will take me three years with the Simpsons). That's where this question came from.
For reference:
Now, while Bob's Burgers is my current favorite adult animated comedy show and I like the Simpsons but not to that extent, my choice should be easy, right?
But it's not:
-With the Simpsons, I could see myself having a fun evening of babysitting with Lisa since she is kinda a bookworm like me so I think I could get along with her.
As for Bart, he would certainly be a lot to handle but there is one thing to be said about him. From the babysitting episodes I remember, he kept his rambunctiousness at least within the house perimeters and never went outside (except for that one time in Season 8 where he knocked himself out and Lisa dragged him to somewhere to get help).
Still the biggest challenge would be Maggie since I have never babysat an actual baby before. At least, I could hope that Marge would provide detailed instructions regarding her.
-As for the Belcher kids, while I love them as characters, I could see myself being really overwhelmed with them when I actually had to babysit them.
Tina would be probably easy to handle since at least we could talk a bit about the Equestranauts (although in my case, it would be talking about My Little Pony).
Gene would basically be a riddle since I wouldn't know to handle his random follow-ups and non-sequiturs.
But of course, Louise would be the biggest challenge since I would have to hope for nothing interesting going on outside the house because, when something piques her interest outside the house, she would do anything necessary to get her way. While I wouldn't be a pushover like Jen, I am probably more afraid of babysitting her than Bart because of the fact that there is danger with her that we might get involved in a crazy adventure outside.
So yeah, contrary to my feelings on both shows, I would have to say I'd rather watch over the Simpsons kids rather than the Belcher kids.
