On the one hand, I'm happy that Cody is happy where he is, and that there's no hard feelings between him and AEW.
On the other hand, as a day one AEW fan, I can't forget that HE was the one pushing the whole "war" thing to begin with. HE smashed the throne. HE made the "you can't counter-program us" comment at Fight for the Fallen. When most of the AEW roster was content to just do their own thing, it was Cody and Jericho going "WAR! WAR! WAR!"
Like, it just feels like Cody had a hand in poisoning the DiscourseTM well, and now that he's back in WWE, he's now standing around the well going "no no no, guys, the water is fine to drink!"

That is my thing and why it is so hilarious to see...He's standing around watching little fires burn like "well would you look at that" knowing that he helped start them all

Not to mention Kenny saying on an interview with Meltzer that Cody was the one who really pushed for the war stuff and to 'go against' WWE. I really am happy Cody's getting his dream here but it really speaks to just how opportunistic the whole thing was. Build up the competition, use it as a launchpad to stardom, go back to WWE. Like an inverse CM Punk.

Cody is full of shit roughly 99% of the time with a +/- of 1%. lol
I’m sure that the wrestlers don’t care because more places to work equals more opportunities, but at the same time Cody was one of the main dudes stirring this shit up to begin with,

Dude will take 50 words to say what a normal person could in five.

I think the guys and girls went to do as well as the possibly can... but I think the majority went the other "team" to do well enough so those extra jobs are still out there when the time comes to renegotiate. Any war is "kayfabe" in my opinion.

Lol, people like Cody dont care which side he's on, as long as he's working the crowd.
And he's working it all up.

I’ve no doubt that for the majority of wrestlers that is the case. They have friends, family, partners etc working for the competition and even if they don’t, they’re likely happy for fellow wrestlers having more places to work. You will get some who don’t see it that way, and Cody was right at the front of that queue so he should be the last to say stuff like this

He's going to be an impeccable politician.
He almost puts someone like Bill Clinton to shame with how he talks around an issue.

The thing with Cody is it's never been that clear how into the versus WWE thing he was, versus how much he could milk it for onscreen content.
I sort of take this more as a reluctance to take shots at AEW, for obvious reasons, since the dynamic isn't exactly 1:1, but who knows with wrestlers sometimes.
