Hogan's 2002/2003 run was magical. Was going to say Hogan from the nWo to the Mr America angle had a great run. Edge? Aside from his Royal Rumble return in 2020, I dunno if I'd personally consider anything about the run that memorable? ...him busting out a Canadian Destroyer against Damian Priest?

Hogan’s run also included a Raw match against William Regal where Regal cut a legit contender for the greatest promo of all time.
“Ooh look at me! Look at me, I’m a Hulkamaniac and I’ve got my Hulk Hogan hat and my silly little Hulk Hogan cup and I look A COMPLETE BLOODY PILLOCK!!”

Yeah Hogan easily. I was in high school when he came back and he got non-fans talking. Now you’d probably find a lot of lapsed fans who didn’t even know Edge returned. When I started watching again in 2021 I straight up had no idea he'd been back for a year already, and he was my second favorite wrestler growing up behind HBK

Hogan was yet again the hottest act in the biggest wrestling company, but put aside his ego, and jobbed (put over) to the current stars and young up and comers, and also basked in the Hulkamania limelight.
Edge, beyond a miraculous recovery, hasn't really hit that level at all.

Hulk Hogan is the most important wrestler in modern history. Changed the game during the original Hulkamania run, changed it again with the nWo, and then had a great and giving run in the twilight of his career. Hulk f***ed up A LOT after that but up until that point he was the man.
No disrespect to Edge but he’s just not on that level. Honestly if you asked Edge this same question he’d probably agree.

Hogan's 2002 return healed the country after 9/11.

Finlay made his comeback at the age of 47, if that counts for anything

Finlay made his comeback at the age of 47, if that counts for anything I'm still upset that the original brawling brute who "LOVED TA FIGHT!" never got a cameo with the Brawling Brutes even in a bar segment... it's RIGHT there...

Hogan... but I've loved having Edge back. The injury he had and the him having to prematurely retire thinking he could never perform again.... then to have him come back like he did at that Royal Rumble was terrific.

To bring things full circle, shouldn’t Edge win the tag titles with a wrestler that was a huge Edge fan as a child?

I can't help but feel that Edges return for most part has been pretty poorly timed.
First there was the Covid Pandemic meaning his Wrestlemania return was pretty much in an empty arena.
And now we are in an era where if your name isn't Roman Reigns you're not getting a sniff at the main titles.
It's not been all bad but it certainly could have been better.

Never at all cared for Hogan vs. Rock, but I'll throw it to Hogan anyway for Hogan vs. Vince being miles better than it had any right to be. I get why people are picking Hogan, but Edge is wrestling as good as 25 year olds, which is insane at his age

Hogan is a pop culture icon, part of the zeitgeist of the 80s and 90s you don't have to watch wrestling to know who Hogan is. Edge, for all his talent, is just some wrestler.

Didn't they win the tag titles together during Hogan's return?

Didn't they win the tag titles together during Hogan's return? They did, yes. On 4th of July that year. I was at the Smackdown the week after where they defended them.

Hogan is an awful human being but his 2002-2003 return run was very strong.
