Going through Invasions and it's not bad, but it needs a lot more variation in the fights. There are modifiers like saw blades and magic balls, but they seem so subtle, it may as well not be there. I think I'd rather have the revolving challenge towers like what MKX and MK11 had. I dunno.

I hope the next update gives the ability to tag moves, so I don't have to keep pausing the game just to see the combo screen.

I still would have been fine with him being bipedal. Just have him use etheral energy for things like the hose kick.

Y'know, this makes so much sense and also explains why I was kinda underwhelmed with the final boss cutscene. I'm sure that's something they *could* fix down the line, but I also wasn't really that thrilled about the final boss in the first place. There's nothing really "final boss" about it, even MKX had Shinnok transform into that... lava thing? Eh.

So it's been discovered that player 1 both online and offline has an inherent advantage with certain combos they can do that player 2 just inherently cannot. I have no idea how you ship a game with this problem.

I'm almost done with the first season of Invasions and I kinda doubt I'll be playing any further seasons. It's not bad or anything, I just don't see much replayability here.
Which I'm coming across as somewhat of a theme with MK1. There's... not a whole lot to do here. I mean, I get it; it's a fighting game. But until the next season of Invasions starts, all you've got is the character towers and online mode, right? I dunno, I feel like the game could've done with a Towers of Time-like mode.

I’m still on the fence about buying the game. I just bought Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2 (I already have DSR and DS3), so I can wait until I finish those games to decide.

I have no idea how you ship a game with this problem. It was absolutely rushed is how. I get that there will always be bugs in software, but it feels like most studios haven't caught on to the fact that larger games need greater time tables than they are usually given. Side note, but after IGN's review of 1 for the Switch, I dusted of my copy of 11, also for the Switch. It never dawned on me before how bad the visual effects are for that port. Hair in particular looks miserable.

A map on Invasion Mode would be helpful so to figure out where you are going I feel like I could produce a laundry list of things that would improve Invasions. That, easing up on how much they're constantly shoving new talismans and konsumables at you since they're useless anyway and thus you're just constantly being nagged to empty your inventory, how few of the fights actually give you anything, ambushes entirely existing just to waste your time, secret fights being more of a punishment than anything since they again give you nothing, the weekly towers having absolutely no purpose whatsoever...
