I guess as usual the chances of my boy Stryker being in the game are pretty slim.
Unironically one of my fave characters even if I hated his Armageddon look.

Nothing against the game but I'm probably going to skip this one and just watch the story on YouTube. I just don't like fighting games and want a Shoalin Monks sequel dammit.

I'm going to wait until the patch/dlc update where WB un-f***s everything to make it a lot less grindy and obnoxious. Just like they did with MK11. And Injustice 2. And the LOTR Mordor games.

Oh, I 100% would not buy this at launch. With WB there's always a very real chance this thing ships completely nonfunctional or microtransactioned out the ass (y'know, like MK11 did until they started patching it) and even if it is perfectly fine at launch WB games always completely crater in cost within a few months. This shit'll be $40 by Christmas.

Shang Tsung's new outfit is similar to Shao Kahn's armor. Meaning he could be from an alternate timeline where he killed him and took Outworld for himself. I'm thinking that both endings of Aftermath are canon. We have a God Liu Kang that created one timeline, and a Titan Shang Tsung that created another. And both are fighting to be the true timeline. I think since Shang Tsung both doesn't have his magic headband and looks notably younger that the Titans resurrected him from the void and he's one of their agents to stop Liu Kang.

The damn thing's 100 gigs. That’s better than Jedi Survivor. I had to clear space for that one. The PC port was even worse, space-wise, than my PS5 port. My son was given a free download of the PC port (he knows a guy on the development team at Respawn) and that thing took up 155 gigs. He said it played fine, but the cutscenes were UGLY. He showed me some screenshots and he wasn’t wrong. I’m sure it’ll all get patched in the end, but I don’t recommend getting any PC port of a AAA title at launch.

Oooo, so I can have my Omni-Man versus Homelander battles. But the way it goes, I'll probably get the komplete edition in a couple of years. That's kind of what I do with fighters nowadays, the new Streetfighter will be the same.

Per the case.

The damn thing's 100 gigs. MK11+Aftermath was about that big on PS4. So I'm not surprised the next game is even bigger.
Requiring a GTX980 as a minimum though? Yeesh.

Definitely looking forward to it. The characters shown so far are looking great (other than Liu Kang as I didn't really like that design in MK11 either). VERY happy to see Kitana & Mileena seemingly back to being treated as genuine sisters who have always worked together, as I really didn't like the retcon of their backstory, especially as that shouldn't have been affected by the timeline split, and it just made their dynamic so much more shallow.
I'm also very interested about Shang Tsung seemingly being a good guy in this one, although I fear this is leading to a crappy "oh my god! Liu Kang was the one who turned him evil all along!" twist due to the time-travel. In general, I wish they'd move on from the time-travel stuff and actually advanced the plot, especially as MK10 seemed to strongly suggest a passing of the torch to a new generation, only to backpedal on it. I'm also not a fan of them calling it Mortal Kombat 1. That stuff only makes things unnecessarily confusing.

Not sure were you are getting Shang being a good guy, it looked like he was up to his old tricks and schemes to takeover.

How are they getting the thing on Switch? That's a good question, even the biggest memory block for Switch is only 256 GB.

How are they getting the thing on Switch? The Switch version is being ported by Shiver Entertainment, they also ported MK11 to Switch.

Not sure were you are getting Shang being a good guy, it looked like he was up to his old tricks and schemes to takeover. I just rewatched the trailer and I have to admit I somehow missed the fact that he was the one killing the other characters in the montage. That said, the end of the trailer where Liu Kang fatalities him just gives me that vibe. Maybe it's just me, but it feels less like a hero killing a villain who's given him no choice, and more like a corrupt god punishing someone for refusing to submit to him. And hey, Tsung slaughtering the other characters could be a result of Kang's action since there's timey-wimey stuff going on. Could also be that there'll be multiple timeline versions of the characters, so there could be both an evil and good one. So I could be way off but that's how it came off to me.
