Ambrose’s 2018 heel turn started off right with him doing the dirty deeds on Seth the night Roman announced he had cancer, and the week after where he was silent. But when he cut his first promo is when they fumbled it. Speaking of which I really hope they do a Mox heel run in AEW soon

Turning WWECW into a Quasi- developmental show. The 2009 period of that was one of my favorite wrestling shows, then it just ended on a wet fart in 2010 with Ezekiel Jackson beating Christian for the ECW World title.

The Authority storyline was an absolute chore, & resulted in Triple H going over Sting at Wrestlemania (which still irks me). However, the main event at Survivor Series 2014 was so great that it almost makes the whole thing worth it.

Well, you could skip that match and go a few years ahead to the middle of the "Retribution" season of pre-Full Sail NXT for something similar...

Jinder Mahal had a badass entrance when he was WWE Champion. He really looked like a star and if they kept it up instead of jobbing him out, I think the fans would've eventually accepted him as a main eventer and maybe he could've even turned face and used his redemption arc to get the fans behind him, like Drew did.

Most of the Lita/Kane/DemonSeedRapeBaby stuff was pure shit. But the WWE leaning into goofy ass "IT WASN'T MY FAULT" Snitsky was Grade A entertainment. They could have done SOOO much more with "It wasn't my fault" Snitsky.

They should've given Snitsky vignettes where he's just out somewhere and he causes calamity and he ends up saying "it wasn't my fault!" to end each vignette.

I don't think keeping it up would've really helped much because he didn't just completely fall off after he lost the WWE title. He kept winning matches, he won the US title at Mania, he had a PPV match with Reigns, they certainly kept him prominent for a time, and it just didn't work at all.

Austin’s heel turn and motivation was some of the best storytelling ever done in pro-wrestling. He returned to find the landscape changed and proceeded to lose his mind and himself trying to fit back in at the level he left and it was all shown not told. Shame it was the absolute last story the audience wanted. Even the swerve on Austin joining WCW was drenched in a delicious poetic irony in that Vince begged to get the old Stone Cold and he got exactly that, the very Austin that would do anything to stick it to VKM. In retrospect, austin needing to use the steel chair to beat kane and win the 01 rumble should've been a sign that something was up

Every moment with Shane really sucked in 2003 and the match with Bischoff was crappy, but Coach's utterly random ass heel turn on Shane ruled

They did take the US title away from him like right away, but yeah, I otherwise agree. They could have gone further in on him, but not by a lot, and fans weren't biting. A face turn or a tag team are probably the only two things I can think of that they didn't try.

Retribution sucked out loud, but we got The Hurt Business looking as formidable a group.

It ended in the most piss poor way possible but there was a lot to like about how Nexus came off early. Their epic debut, Wade Barrett turning that 50/50 audience reaction off and getting them almost completely pro-Cena, David Otunga being sleazy, Heath Slater having the most punchable face in the world…

And even after that they still tried pushing him... hell Drew's like first feud after losing the world title was again trying to get Jinder over. They have tried multiple times to do something with Jinder... but the crowd does not care about him, and you can't force them to care about someone just becuase you gave them the world title. Drew and his face run is not comparable because despite him not getting nearly as much heat as they wanted as a main event heel he wasn't getting complete negative reactions everywhere... and his face turn was basically like an entire gimmick change from where he was on top of that... not to mention Drew was not a career jobber like Jinder is... there was a short stint as 3MB but before that he was a serious threat, and then he left for years on the indy circuit and coming off like a big deal... Jinder had none of that.
