I feel like Punk gets more hate, but MJF is just as bad if not worse. I guess Max has the benefit of being younger and more prone to doing dumb shit like this but he literally assaulted a child

Punk's been a huge asshole for a lot longer. He was just a lot better at not being so public about it. But he's even used kids for edgy cheap heat. Though instead of throwing a drink in a kid's face, he yelled "I HOPE YOUR PARENTS DIE" to some kid at an ROH or indy show.
Not that MJF isn't kinda speed running his way to Punk's level, but this is a bit prisoner of the moment.

Maybe redo this poll once MJF has a very public meltdown and derails an entire company's momentum. Or when he holds one-sided grudges for literal years about the pettiest shit. Or assaults fans on at least two occasions. Or has comments from multiple industry vets referring to him as a locker room cancer. Or-
You see where I'm going with this? It's Punk. No contest. I know MJF is persona non grata right now but some of y'all act like he's the worst human being to ever live.

Based on everything I've heard about Maxwell Friedman, the person, he's a generally good guy who acts like an asshole for heat. But that's just it; it's an act. It's an act he absolutely needs to rein in every so often and he's done some dumb shit like throwing a drink on a child and the whole All Out meet & greet debacle, but he's still young enough that he can learn where the lines are that he can't cross and how to handle fame and responsibility.
Phil Brooks has been an asshole for 20 years and has had his asshole behaviours reinforced by "friends" who don't want to cross him out of fear of being dropped from his inner circle and fans who cheer him and take his side no matter what he says or does. No one holds Punk's feet to the fire, which means he never has to take accountability for the things he says or does, and anyone who actually tries to is automatically presented as the evil villain holding down the "noble anti-authority renegade".
Simply put, I say Punk, because unlike MJF, Punk seems unable and unwilling to acknowledge that he may be part of the problem.

What MJF did is technically assault, but it's not what most people would really look at as "assaulting a child", nor would, I think, people rate throwing alcohol in a kid's face as being on the same level as the kind of assault Punk was involved in when he attacked a co-worker, either in impact or intent. |

Punk I guess. He's taken the Brody philosophy to a new level in the age of social media. He isn't willing to accept the price of being a top guy and is in the "I'll screw you before you can screw me" mindset.
MJF had the dust up with his contract, but that could have been a total work to cover for him taking time off to do a voice over role.
I don't think tossing a drink at a fan is on the same level as watching Punk's stuff disintegrate publicly.
