7.
Please stop giving Jay Lethal title shots for a good long while, "You people"-type promos need to die off as a whole, and Joe should've retained out of the PPV if Hobbs was just going to win it anyway. Wardlow could've chased Joe to ROH for revenge.

6 or so I suppose. I enjoyed Wardlow/Hobbs and JAS/Top Flight a fair amount, but found Lethal/OC bleh and thought the repeated post match beatdowns got to be exhausting. Also Ruby is fine in the ring and all, but I'm getting really annoyed that I was so excited for Hayter's title reign because we would get banger matches out of it (which was proven right with the Emi and Shida matches) only for her to now just get no singles matches on TV. Just let Hayter wrestle, christ. I'm so tired of this not nWo angle because it prevents the one thing I genuinely wanted the most.

For whatever reason I just couldn't get into this show as much as usual. Maybe because of no MJF, no Bryan and no Jamie?

Would have said 7 before the main event, always felt like a good show without reaching anything close to their top level or having any really big moments, which isn't uncommon for any wrestling show after a stacked PPV.
Liked Ruby's promo, people have been saying for a while that Saraya and Toni's turns didn't make sense or were lazy or whatever but Ruby just explicitly said exactly why you'd turn in that scenario, you give the fans everything and they side with someone else, perfectly reasonable in kayfabe to resent the fans and the opponents in question so glad they just put it out there.
Loved the Callis, Omega and Jericho stuff despite it being brief, really glad they're doing something with Juice and a programme with Starks who he can do promos with definitely feels like a good start, love having FTR back and all the rest of the wrestling was solid to very good.
Main event tipped it more towards an 8 for me though so I went with that, feel like a title change and some massive spots deserves an extra point.

Weakest in ring showing for Dynamite in a long while, but some really good promos, interviews and storyline stuff. And Hobbs is TNT Champ. 8/10.
Also seems like a cycling of a new group of talent to more prominent positions on the card for the next while. Hobbs, QT, Juice, FTR, House of Black, Dark Order, seem set to be given a lot more tv time over the next few months, which is cool and keeps things interesting.

Huh, interested by the good ratings here since Cagematch isnt liking this one. I think it's because Cagematch essentially ranks the actual in-ring matches only, and doesn't really factor in the segments and promos. I gave this show an 8, but if I were going on ringwork alone, I'd probably give it a 5-6. Orange/Lethal and JAS/Top Fox were awesome, but the rest of the show was kind of unmemorable in the ring. And Dynamite sets a really high bar for that.

Huh, interested by the good ratings here since Cagematch isnt liking this one. It was a good show and people on the internet are being overly angry because for some reason QT Marshall is satan For the record this is the kind of thing that annoys people. People thinking QT Marshall is dull and not wanting him in a prominent role is not even 10% of the vitriol you give to people ALL THE TIME but because you're on the other side here you're painting your opinion as the objectively correct take and downplaying anyone who didn't like it as exaggerated angry internet fans. Would you like it if the exact same thing was said to you? just replace the name QT Marshall with like Austin Theory or something in the initial post. You're doing it in one of the women's division threads too. Someone called the booking crap and you got defensive saying there's no need to be so harsh etc but you are way harsher than that ALL THE TIME. You can be absolutely steaming mad, cursing and calling 95% of stuff the absolute shits during WWE threads but if someone is even half as down on an AEW show they probably won't make it past 1 or 2 posts without you quoting them and telling them they're being a drag and overly negative. Why is it okay for you every week to be like "f*** this show, wrestler x is dead/buried, if so and so happens I am f***ing done with this company" and so on but people being way less hyperbolic the other way annoys you? You'll gladly dunk on WWE stuff you dislike forever and ever but with AEW you always try to curtail it with like "why is everyone so negative?" or "this is getting so tiring, can we just move on already?" You can love everything about AEW and hate everything about WWE. That's not the issue and it never has been the issue. I'm begging you for the sake of this whole forum to please find the self-awareness to realize the real issue is that you constantly get annoyed and call out negativity around stuff you like and take little pot shots like you did there but you are the exact opposite and way more harsh on the things you don't like and seem to think that's okay. Either both are okay or both are not okay. Sorry dude, you seem cool and are a very passionate wrestling fan like all of us but you could help make this place better by realizing what the actual issue people have is.

I'll just say that due to the show being promo/backstage segments heavy, this week, I ended up fast forwarding more than usual through a lot of segments (I can't with the JAS anymore, please put OC in another feud than vs. Triple J & co, and I still feel Ricky's promo work has weakened, these past few months), and I won't give it a grade, but overall, meh.

I went 8. I actually liked a lot of the in-ring on the show and I must admit that Orange Cassidy has really grown on me in the last year. He's made the All Atl...err, International Title feel as important as it's ever felt.
I like the idea of JAS, HoB and Elite feuding over the Trios title if it means the deck is cleared for guys like Cole, Hangman and Starks to chase MJF.
I've talked elsewhere about my thoughts on Hobbs. I have reservations on QT being the guy, but I appreciate Hobbs getting the belt. I think they need to go back to the drawing board with Wardlow a bit, things seem a little dire for him. I'll be in Vegas for DoN, so I'm excited to see where they go in the next few months.

6/10 - Not the best but it did it's job of setting up some interesting things for the next few weeks so was fine.
OC vs Jarrett in particular should be good.

Last night's show was a lot more Sports Entertainment than having bangers up and down the crowd. Though I did like OC vs Lethal a lot, if not somewhat begrudgingly because Lethal does nothing for me otherwise.

Either both are okay or both are not okay. Sorry dude, you seem cool and are a very passionate wrestling fan like all of us but you could help make this place better by realizing what the actual issue people have is. Jesus christ all that and I was just going off of what Cagematch literally told me. Wardlow/Hobbs was given a 4/10 (Was even lower yesterday) and it was very much revolving around QT and online a lot of it was the same, lowest rated thing of the entire night on the site. I thought it was pretty obvious my post was pretty hyperbolic while still conveying what was actually happening. I'm not even a huge QT supporter but I thought people were going overboard about how it "ruined Hobbs and the title and the show". I didn't say it was happening here, I didn't name names, and I don't personally attack anyone. But the takes were happening elsewhere, and I made a quip about it, and you're calling it vitriol? And calling me a hypocrite because "Well if it were WWE-"? I can feel different ways about different things and that should be ok, instead of me writing a singular off-cuff statement and getting a wall of text about how wrong and hypocritical I am or how much it's a problem. But, fair enough, here's a wall back because I'm just spent and need to get things out, no matter how right or wrong I am. The way I post about shows is how I feel about them, and when it comes to WWE yeah I'm more negative, there's more years, more baggage, more dropped balls, more everything, especially backstage. It doesn't mean I hate everything, I don't, I can be harsh on some things but it's my opinion, so f***ing what? I praise shit all the time. When HHH was first taking over I was very optimistic. I think the MMM/Otis storyline is one of my favorite things going in wrestling right now. I'm tired of Bloodline stuff but I've praised stuff within it, the Rumble Segment was one of the segments of the year ANYWHERE and I said that before. I've said people are overreacting to WWE related stuff too, or hell I've said something has sucked and it's turned around like Judgment Day, I can be wrong, things can change, and I am happy to enjoy something. It just depends on how I feel about the storyline or the situation, this is how I work as a human, I write so when stuff happens I look for the logic within it and it shows up a lot in my posts, which, can be hyperbolic or overly dramatic because FAN for a long time, was very much like that and still is. Going in further, I gave Bray's stuff months of a chance before I just finally went "God this is going nowhere" and then even then I praised LA Knight and make a point to say how over and great he really is. But because I'm less angry about things in AEW, a company that has done a lot of logical and correct things in my own opinion and done a lot for wrestling in the three years it's been along, yeah maybe I defend it a bit more, but it hasn't given me a lot of reasons to despise it or whatever they're doing. Hey, give it time, maybe in three more years I'll be saying "This f***ing sucks" too, who knows. In terms of the QT thing though, I thought the QT tie in was really good long term continuity to Hobbs I rarely see in wrestling these days, so I wanted to give it a shot, usually when I go "Nah, f*** this", I've given it plenty of time, or it's so awful out the gate I have to ask what the heck we're doing here. AEW's had that before, the Nightmare Collective and Cody/Ogogo feuds sure were that. This however, hasn't been given a single day, and people are bombing the score on CageMatch because of it. So yeah, I joked that QT Marshall is like the devil to some people. Maybe I should have added lol or lmfao to the end to get across it was a joke. But this is what I get. You come at me with "Understand why I and other users are frustrated", well here's me saying I hope you see why I myself am frustrated, because I feel like I can't win, and I'm not just going to lie to you and not express how I feel in a moment whether it's positive or negative. I've done that for a decade here with no issues, and at this point it's coming to a head where 10 years and 200K posts feel like they mean nothing, because I'm being pegged as a huge problem for simply trying to do the very thing FAN was constructed. I feel like I belong here less and less the more I get swiped at and called out like this, something almost no user I've ever seen here get publicly and frequently with no shame. I've seen blatant troll users get less snide and snark I've been getting. And people can be as negative as they want about AEW, they have, they continue to, I don't respond to a lot of it, I respond where I feel like I can leave any sort of meaningful feedback usually. Have I gotten frustrated sometimes and responded out of turn? Yes. We all do that and we respond in ways we regret, but I have done my damndest to be calmer and more civil to everything I respond to anymore. I don't want to cause fights and I don't want to piss people off, never been what I've been about. I'm sorry if it's hypocritical for me to not like something but then defend another and think people are being too harsh, it's two separate situations in terms of reaction and how things are being presented, and everyone is going to wildly feel differently about either show and also respond in kind, that's how this forum has always been. Take all of this how you want, I almost don't want to send this because I don't want another thread to derail and I don't want this to be a thing, I've largely tried to power my way through it and let the mods deal with it as they may, but there's only so much I can take before I feel like I have to fire back and defend how I post on these boards, I'm not perfect, I'm not a victim, I am guilty of not posting correctly or getting too heated at points and I have been punished for it and regret it. But I sincerely don't think I'm doing anything wrong with how I normally post here or what I'm doing in any thread at any given time. I do sincerely apologize if it's annoying people or causing a problem, I've been doing my best to avoid that, but as seen above, I'm stepping on landmines without even trying anymore, and yeah, that's very frustrating as someone who has been here a long time and has only tried to make friends and have fun. I don't know how coherent all of that even was, sorry for clogging the thread up with a large post and all that, I hope it doesn't upset anyone else any further, but at this point I feel like it had to be said, and I guess we'll go from there.

ALL RIGHT, LISTEN:Xxcjb01xX [PIECE OF: SH-] : I hear what you're saying and understand how you don't see what's going on and I think the issue is twofold: 1 - the quantity of replies you make in an AEW thread to people who are negative. It's not your opinion that's the problem, it's the amount of times you feel compelled to convey it. What that's doing is 2 - making people feel lectured to and like the conversation can't continue in another direction. So, if 10 people are in a thread and 6 of them don't like a segment, do not reply to all 6 of them. Make one blanket post covering your thoughts, and if someone chooses to engage you further, then elaborate. It's also causing your WWE criticisms to be seen as hypocritical, because it appears as though that's up for grabs while AEW negativity is off limits. You may not mean it that way, but it's how it comes across. EVERYONE ELSE: I also hear and believe I understand what it is that's frustrating you, and I can see why. I also understand you're trying to get Xxcjb01xX [PIECE OF: SH-] to comprehend where he's going "wrong", but the amount of times it happens, voiced with frustration, is only adding more tension and starting to become a situation of sideswipes and digs that keeps the cycle going. That's not helping either. THIS is what you all should be trying to remember when posting. If something seems to be a problem, please report it. THIS is what I meant by policing yourselves, because we should all have some self-awareness. Otherwise this HAS TO STOP.
