Not kidding, there is a good chance that Flair, like others from his era who also had long, physical in-ring careers, has some serious CTE. Not Benoit level, but enough to be causing issues now. His judgment and emotional regulation just seem to be getting worse, and his health and money problems and personal losses are probably all feeding into it. Twenty years ago, it felt like he had more tact/diplomacy and at least some kind of filter. Isn't Arn even no longer speaking to him? Its less CTE and more that Ric Flair is a 70 something year old manchild who will never grow up.

I'm a big advocate of personal responsibility, but at what point does it fall on Ric's family to take a little responsibility for him and take away his internet access?

This ain’t 2001 man, can’t just unplug the modem to block internet access. You gonna tell a 75 year old who travels frequently he’s not allowed to carry an iPhone? That’s not only damn near impossible, but irresponsible unless he’s got a handler 24/7.

Dutch repeated what everyone was saying. Flair even said it was bad and why he would like to redo it if he could. Because his dumbass forgot to hydrate before the match. Flair got so thing skinned and I swear he forgets what he says before about himself. Than blast someone who repeats what he said.

I think more drug and alcohol related issues combined with some mental health issues than CTE. His issues go back decades, we just have the ability to witness them now. No one is there to cover for him like in the past. That may very well be the case. My money is also on Flair having a serious personality disorder. A multitude of red flags are there. Being a black market baby, the drinking (for a very long time he was called 'a partier' while that seems to be a rose colored way to describe a problem drinker or an outright alcoholic), the anxiety and sel confidence issues, the womanizing, the divorces, the financial woes,...

Flair is addicted to fame and attention, no doubt. We've all heard these guys talk about how there's nothing that replaces the rush of performing in front of a live audience, holding the attention and emotions of massive numbers of people captive. Flair did it for 30+ years, arguably as well as anybody who has ever done it, and his entire identity was an extension of that performance. I don't even think you need to go as far as CTE, drugs, personality disorders. The dude's brain has been trained to follow the dopamine to the next high, only now he's a 75 year old man and (almost) no one is buying tickets to see him.

You look at the two biggest stars of the 80's in Hogan and Flair, and you think they should be happily retired and living comfortably, on top of the world. But they both live two of the saddest existances I can think of. You can't help but pity them both to some degree, it's so pathetic. To be fair to Hogan, I don’t see him getting in Twitter wars with people every couple months or so, or shit talking people on his podcast. Yeah he shills for his restaurant and appearances but there’s no comparison between him and Flair in this regard.

Well, apparently Flair recently said he paid a $5,000 fine after winning the IC title from Carlito because he wouldn’t pose for official photos with the belt.
Which has to be one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard.

I honestly cannot wait for the new guard to retire and not make total f***ing asshats of themselves all the time. Imagine in the future where Sportskeeda has to drag clicks out of a headline that says "Austin Creed on Seth Rollins' legacy: It's really great. I love that guy." Yeah, like obviously not everyone likes each other but you will see a lot less of this shit I doubt that tbh. I expect it to be around the same as it is now, maybe moreso with the current generation being more internet savvy. Don't forget, there's a lot of people that LOVE watching videos of people criticising other people.

Idk, I think a lot of wrestlers while loving this job, when it is their time to go you won't really hear from a lot of them You will hear criticisms of course, it is still about a "spot" but don't see any outright hatred or too much idiocy (relatively of course).

I think in the last year, the only really big bit of Twitter controversy was when he thought Bam Magara was dead. And that was more funny old man using Twitter versus bitter drunk who very openly wants to die in a wrestling ring.

Dutch and maybe Ric realized they could make some money off this... So from this tweet and based on his use of caps we have learned that it's possible for Ric To Write In A Style That's Not Like This And It's Not Some Setting That Can't Be Changed.
