"Your thing is the Swing, so be sure to never do that. Wait, why are you not as over anymore... ??" God, if Heyman had even one iota of creative input on that, he's a complete doofus. Like, I could see that working in theory, along the lines of Cactus Jack switching from weapons spots to restholds when he turned heel. It just didn't work at all in practice because Cesaro, all respect to him as a wrestler, was largely defined in WWE as "guy who swings people." Take that away and he didn't have much left character-wise. Cactus Jack's anti-hardcore run also had him cut promos about it and really sell the idea. They didn't try to replace any of the stuff they took away from Cesaro. It was just "You're a freakishly strong dude with a certain kind of charisma, but you can't cut ROCK promos, so you're an extra in somebody else's movie."

Never let Hulk Hogan endorse you. Just ask Abyss how that turned out. Or Tugboat. Or TJ Perkins. Or even Chris Sabin! Hillbilly Jim, Babyface Honky Tonk Man, Renegade,

You would think that Paul would've hyped up Cesaro whenever he came out with him, but every time Paul spoke he would talk about how Brock Lesnar beat The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania.
I mean hell, I think Paul Heyman promoted Curtis Axel more than Cesaro. Curtis Axel!

I enjoyed the first one, but in the follow up Wrestlemanias, they tried too hard to get anybody that was anything in other matches, so it lost its luster. I'd be fine if it were back on the main card or Kickoff if they treated it as a slightly bigger deal.
