You GOT to give the people what they want! There better be a zoom-out of Zayn and Owens hugging at Mania.

I like that they successfully made sure that Sami is involved and not overshadowing Cody. They did a great job of that. if nothing else, it makes Cody one of the smarter babyfaces to go after Roman. He knows the Bloodline would have the numbers advantage, so he's taking his chances in Avengers Assembling a couple of people who have their own bone to pick with the Bloodline to even the odds. I’m gonna laugh my ass off if Cody has this insane plan hedging his bets on KO and Sami taking the heat off him by distracting the rest of the Bloodline because he still has nightmares of the never ending Authority angle…just for it all to end in a Dusty finish and he only ends up with one belt…and it ain’t the WWE Championship.

He's been paying attention and at least 3 men have had Roman pinned for a 3 count or more but ultimately lost because of bloodline interference. Getting allies to run interference just makes sense. It kinda makes you wonder why it took someone so long to figure that out.

Man, that was awesome. But I laughed my ass off at them showing Cody give his nod of approval like he’s f’n Batman or Superman watching on or sum ish. I was wondering why the hell they would cut to him and take away from the moment. Then I wondered why his ass wasn't out there helping his buddy Sami. The only thing I can think is that he believed in the power of friendship and also potentially knew Kevin was still in the building. Either way, I think it was an odd choice to cut to him. I guess he could have seen it as Kevin's save to make, and him not wanting to steal their moment, but WWE also thinking, "If we don't show him looking on, it's going to make it look like he just didn't give a shit."

He had a dark match vs Austin Theory he was getting ready for. But that is not really cannon for Smackdown so I am not sure that it matters.

The pop for that hug at the end was great. I get that the story needed to unfold in such a way, but it makes me wonder how huge it would have been had it happened while they were in Montreal.

After this, KO and Sami should never fued again. They’ve done heel KO vs face Sami and face KO vs heel Sami. Only exception I’ll make is if they wrestle eachother at Mania next year for the world title, but even then I think it should be a face vs face respect fued

I like that they successfully made sure that Sami is involved and not overshadowing Cody. They did a great job of that. One of the biggest differences of the Triple H era of booking versus how Vince McMahon booked things for decades is that Triple H isn't afraid of charging head-on into a storyline and trusting it's good enough that the fans will back it. Think back to January, seemingly the lone talking point among WWE fans was "Will the crowds turn on Cody in favor of Sami?" And instead of tiptoeing around the topic, WWE went full-speed into it, having Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn interact and become allies in their rivalry with The Bloodline. And because of the goodwill and faith in the story being told, the fans haven't rejected Cody for Sami - instead they're full-throated behind BOTH of them. You almost never saw this in pre-2021 WWE. The elephant in the room was almost never addressed. But now there's enough confidence in the storyline that the fans will go along with it. And that's a major credit to the Triple H era of booking.
