The ONLY reason for me being in Goldberg is to shut up the people who claim casuals won’t watch AEW. Because in the short term, bringing in Goldberg probably will draw in ratings. But you would have to do it in a way that doesn’t take away from the core product and that’s the most difficult thing, because Goldberg doesn’t fit with the overall product. That could be TNA hiring Hulk Hogan levels of bad. Though I don’t think Goldberg would ruin AEW at all, I don’t know if he fits. Though it is tempted to see what you can do. Just sign him for a year, see what happens, if it doesn’t work out, no harm no foul. The thing about getting the most out of Goldberg is he has to be in the main event or at least a heavily featured program. He can’t be hidden in the mid or lower card. Not to mention given his salary it wouldn’t be cost effective to do so. Fortunately MJF is pretty much the perfect guy to have as the champ during a short Goldberg run. Have MJF do his usual, “You must complete the gauntlet to face me” then MJF beats Goldberg in the end. It’s predictable and not the best AEW could do. But they really need to bring in casuals to grow and this could help.

He’s a free agent. Now time to make Goldberg vs. Orange Cassidy a reality, baby!

They won't bring him in.
Khan is a workrate mark at the end of the day and Goldberg wasn't great, even at his peak. We've seen what he wants, we've seen what he's willing and able to do physically and I can't see him contributing anything to AEW. He's going to be tossed on the Tessa Blanchard/Ric Flair heap of talent that AEW are absolutely just about to sign because 'they sign everyone', but never are.

The man has two moves; one he can't hit consistently at his age, and the other he often hits too hard.
Please don't let him anywhere near AEW.

If Orange Cassidy can get his usual match quality out of a 56 year old Goldberg, he'd have to be in contention for GOAT status.

Does WWE own his original WCW theme? I know they definitely used it for a bit in 2003 before they created a near identical remix for him. It would be weird seeing Goldberg at this point with a different entrance theme. Just sign him for a year, see what happens, if it doesn’t work out, no harm no foul. I wouldn't think there's enough juice for a full year. He's 56 years old and Goldberg's not a character like Sting I can picture being in random midcard tags. He's very much a solo/main event guy. Feels like you just try and make the most of his name value in as short a time as possible before the luster is gone. I'd do just like a 2 match contract with a few more appearances to build them. One big Dynamite match to hopefully pop a rating and beat a disposable heel and then a PPV match were he puts over MJF or whoever. Realistically though, if he draws he'll probably be brought back. I'm sure his stuff with Brock in 2016 was supposed to be a one-off feud then once they saw how much he drew they signed him to more dates.

He was going to bring him in in 2019 but Goldberg decided to re-sign with WWE instead. He may be a workrate mark but he's also a WCW mark and getting Goldberg back on Turner TV even briefly I can see him wanting to mark off his checklist. Tony on the Goldberg rumors in 2019:

Maybe if you wanted to make MJF look insecure/insincere about the whole "Unlike you, I didn't NEED AEW Daddy Daycare!" thing, you bring him in for a one or two-shot and have him interact with MJF that ends in MJF Dynamite Diamond Ring punching him back out of the company so he can do his normal "HAHA I FOOLED YOU ALL AGAIN!" stuff.

Said this in another thread, but...
I think the only way I'd want Goldberg to show up is if became a bit that somebody kept joking about Wardlow being Goldberg lite for a few months, then finally one day Wardlow goes "Guys, you keep getting confused. I'm not Goldberg, this is Goldberg." Cue the music, Goldberg hits the ring, murders a bunch of losers and poses for the crowd. I don't think he needs to have a match, match, but that's just me. I'd get it if Tony brought him in for a match or two but I think it's super unnecessary.
I feel like Sting has overachieved in his run, not many people his age will be able to do what he's doing. The other factor is that Sting didn't go out on his terms. Goldberg's had more than one fitting ending and the dude keeps going and going.

The most fun Goldberg has been in the last few years was when he destroyed Dolph Ziggler.
That means AEW needs to bring him in to fight Ryan Nemeth.

As good as AEW is in using legends and older wrestlers, Goldberg just looked absolutely shot the last few times he was in WWE. Yeah, he was a big draw, but anything where he's an active in-ring wrestler would be a big mistake.

I've been sick and tired of Goldberg since his WCW wining streak gimmick started, but I can see how he could give a big rub to a talent as a manager/occasional tag partner.
That said, please keep him off my screen.

I’ve always been a big Goldberg fan. I think it would be fun to see him show up and squash someone in 10 seconds. Though I haven’t seen a Goldberg match since him and Brock at Wrestlemania, I’ve certainly heard he’s been bad ever since. I believe Tony Khan could make it work.

Goldberg doing stuff like the Ziggler match would be absolutely fine. and AEW's proven they know how to book vets/attractions well much like Sting
I wouldn't mind seeing Goldberg back on Turner at least once as long as he isn't being shoved in the main event scene, even if as I said before, two Jewish Wrestlers competing for a world title would be really cool

Yeah my ideal role for Goldberg in AEW is just doing stuff like the Dolph bit like he shows up to wreck a heel every now and then with spears like that's it hahahah
