If I were to try to completely reverse course at this juncture I'd probably film something with Jimmy and Solo taking out Rock, say he's unable to compete, then have Cody put over Seth and the importance of his belt before saying that he was getting trapped in his own head and needs to focus on Roman because someone has to end this. Then you have Rock turn up at Mania to hit Solo with a Rock Bottom to both even the field and potentially get some good PR back on his side, and from there you do the Roman match at SummerSlam.

But that won't happen.

The fact that The Rock is basically in charge here is what makes backtracking less likely. He pushed for this and is basically Triple’s boss. Now it’s up to whether or not he’s willing to backtrack incredibly hard and fast here.

Making me chuckle a bit seeing this. Have seen multiple people saying this wouldn’t happen because “the bad fans all went to AEW” and thevawWE crowds just want to enjoy the show.

It was never that. Every crowd wants to be entertained and see a satisfying conclusion to stories and characters.

The reason crowds haven’t hijacked WWE shows is because for the past few years WWE has given fans what they want.

When you do the opposite of what the fans want, regardless of the promotion, the fans will let you know.

Watching WWE to watch the live crowd shit all over what’s happening in the ring is like nostalgia.

Once people get past that initial Oh My God it’s the Rock as a surprise pop and reality sets in like it has, it’s gonna be interesting. Like I don’t know if that press conference is open to the public, but it’ll be nuts to see the reaction Rock gets.

Funny enough with the "bad fans" my issue with AEW fans is that they need to give more negative feedback(in the arena) even by silence.

What choice did he have? He also donated money to the writers strike after making comments basically saying he didn't care.
