For now. Not going to be super shocked if WWE starts having "dissension" if this builds enough momentum and start having undercard people do it, too, to provide a reasoning for Cody/Rock to change their minds in kayfabe as a way for WWE to try to grab the reins of this, same as they successfully did with Bryan (well, eventually).

Can I just say how messed up it is that for almost 4 years now during one of the most messed up times for mental health, the thing which people watch for light entertainment has perpetuated this title reign which is genuinely designed to piss off the audience?

I don't think I've come out of a Roman match since Mania 2021 feeling anything but disrespected as a fan. We've been using the term "misery booking" for a while and yeah, this is making me miserable to watch. I'm seriously considering just peacing out on WWE altogether and avoiding all news about it until someone shows me actual footage of Roman losing that belt to someone who's a member of the full time roster.

I have to say, though, talking about the whole ring rust thing, John Cena has had about 2,000 matches in the last seven years. The Rock? A big, fat zero.

I think Cena will own The Rock. I think Cena is wittier and can go off the cuff. Cena writes his own stuff, while The Rock has stuff written for him. It just all comes down to who you are in the ring and what kind of performer you are in the ring, and I think Cena is 10 times the performer in the ring that The Rock is. This Monday in Chicago, he'll prove it.

13 years later and just replace Cody with Cena in that interview and it all rings true from Randy Orton all over again.

Cody is his boy too, so if there's one guy not happy about what Rock did, it's gotta Randall.
