None of these guys look even close to who they are supposed to be playing Who's the dude on crutches? I recognize Mince, Tad Chilly, Rob Lemons, and Double F. It's meant to a proxy for Shawn Michaels, but because Rock talks shit about him in this (it was bad 90s Michaels, after all), he kept him "anonymous". |

I’m surprised Rocky got even 17% Casuals over the age of 30 who half pay attention to wrestling still seem to like him. Kids under the age of 20 don't really seem to have any real connection to him in the wrestling sphere. |

It's not 2012 anymore, it's not Rock vs Cena anymore, and Rock has been away for quite awhile outside of sporadic appearances Stone Cold didn't come back and hijack a Mania to face Owens, it was just a fun match, this is ruining a storyline years in the making for no reason other than ego Not shocked everyone is just vehemently saying "No". |

With the exclusion of the day the tickets went on sale, the biggest spike in ticket sales happened 12 hours after the Rumble when the WWE made it pretty obvious it was going to be Rhodes vs Cody.
While people are focusing their frustrations through Cody not getting a title shot, I can tell you, as someone who bought 10 tickets for a group of children and tried to coordinate a trip for them to see Cody wrestle Roman, this situation has left a lot of people generally feeling ripped off.
I brought this up a few times that I work with kids for my job and almost none of them have a strong connection to The Rock. He last wrestled when most of them were 5, and his main run happened a few decades before they were born.
A lot of parents who booked this trip had to pick one day (due to costs and hotel) and most picked Sunday, for the sheer reason their kids wanted to see Cody. I can't imagine how many people feel ripped off now

I have a feeling that even without the injury to CM Punk and Beastie Boy being implicated in the lawsuit, The Rock would have pulled the same shit regardless.

The only way I can see the salvaging Cody from this mess is having him cutting a shoot promo saying that Rock politicked him out of the match with Roman. Good luck, WWE is owned by a conglomerate with a board of directors, this isn't like traditional wrestling anymore. I know it won't happen. It's the only way to save Cody though. |
