Rock's appearance legit boosted ratings and got big social media interactions (even though they were negative). Has the WWE ever had an issue like this where the more casual mainstream audience was tuning into to see someone that the core audience hated?

I guess you can point to Cena during his run, but on some level, that just felt meta.
