I wouldn't mind some overbooked clusterf#$%#% of a finale. Have the entire locker room fighting all over the arena. Like 90 minutes of the whole roster just having a full on civil war. And R Truth is sitting there eating popcorn like "I'm so glad I gave up my membership in Judgement Day, all these fools are fighting like idiots over my old spot." I feel like they need to Backlash 2000 it. Make it no DQ and make it less a singles match and more a crazy game of chess where Roman and Cody are the kings.

Perversely I quite like the absolute dread they manage to conjure through Triple H's clear hard-on for booking dominant, never-ending heel heat (see also: Ciampa v Gargano; Tegan Nox never beats Dakota Kai; basically everything Hunter did himself 2002-2006), as it means we can't be 100% sure they're not going to f*** this up.
I know I for one will have a knot in my stomach waiting for Rollins to turn, or for Rock to interfere, until the final beat of the three-count secures victory for Cody. I don't think I'll fully believe it'll happen until that actual moment.

I’ve been trying to complete my collection of Finding Nemo jigsaw puzzles… but I just can’t finish the Dory.

Just have all the guys that Roman has screwed over for the last almost 4 years come out to kick the crap out of the Bloodline.
Then Roman realizes that he’s all alone in the ring with Cody and there’s no one to save him this time.

What is Dustin's AEW contact situation? It would be really cool if he could show up, even as a one off, at Mania to be part of Cody's backup I would mark for a last ever Goldust WM appearance

WWE got away with Cody losing last year and I think/hope that they know that and therefore realize that not finishing the story carried the huge risk that fans will turn on the product.
There has been many comments that WrestleMania 17 was the end of The Attitude Era and just recently I've had this feeling that TKO might want this WrestleMania to be the end of this particular era and therefore want Cody being Champion to start of this new era.
It wouldn't suprise me if we saw new Intros, Logos, aesthetics...etc to get rid of all traces of Vince

I like the idea of Roman’s shield bro Seth being a vital part of what takes Roman down. I think they made the right call having Roman retain last year. This year they have no excuses I can’t believe I didn’t even consider this angle. Seth has always been presented as Roman’s kryptonite so it’s perfect that he’s involved in taking down the Tribal Chief.

Having been out of the loop for about the past 4 years, can someone give me a short summary of how Cody went from being Stardust to "the guy" in the wrestling business? I always liked Cody but never predicted this. Did he just get over beyond anyone's expectations in AEW?

I always liked Cody but never predicted this. Did he just get over beyond anyone's expectations in AEW? Not long after he left WWE, he made a social media post where he posted "The List", a list of names he wanted to have matches with now that he was outside of WWE. This intrigued people, and then he started a short run in Impact, and was in RoH after that. Eventually he started working NJPW and became part of Bullet Club. And that of course led to whole bet with Meltzer that resulted in All In, which got him, Kenny, and the Bucks the attention of one Tony Khan... And Cody has been surprisingly memetic over and over since, with the "Hand to Ear" thing, the memeing on his theme lyrics, the neck tattoo...

Well done WWE for signing that Neck Tattoo. When the time comes for negotiations for a new contract, lets hope the Flying Bart Simpson Skull gets the bag, because it deserves it.

Quick correction, since it's an important part, he was doing Impact / ROH / New Japan and PWG at the same damn time. That's a huge difference between how he and others established themselves on the indys. Cody worked his contracts and dates so that he could work EVERYWHERE. He was doing all four while STILL appearing for smaller local indys - here in Minneapolis' Heavy on Wrestling he had an absolute banger with Colt Cabana. Nobody else had ever really done that, and Cody went on to become the very first person ever to wrestle at Wrestlemania, Bound For Glory, Final Battle, BOLA and Wrestle Kingdom within a 12 month span. That's what gave him all the platforms to really show he belonged as a main event guy and hone his craft on a top tier level.

That's what gave him all the platforms to really show he belonged as a main event guy and hone his craft on a top tier level. there's also the part where Cody was loathed and booed in AEW, mainly due to the "Codyverse" being a bit too excessive and self-indulgent that he was getting jeered by the time he left AEW. That seems to have been thankfully left behind, as he's been largely filtered through WWE's lens.

I remember when Cody first started doing the American Nightmare character and hadn't entirely figured it out yet and everyone was talking about how he was a huge letdown and didn't seem to know what he was trying to do. Crazy how well that ended up working out.

People dismiss her, but yeah, having her in tow did help him look like that much more of a star. Not even just from a "she's hot" standpoint, even if obviously that wasn't a non-factor, but because she really is great at hyping him. I don't think she'd fit his current act really, but if he does go heel down the line, cut her a check.
