It's baffling for me because Reigns is leaving at some point. That's obvious. He sees a career in Hollywood as the next step. And Cody is the perfect guy to slip in and take Reigns's place at the top of the pile.
And WWE have shat all over that to bring in The Rock.

Wager thread where if you bet Rock/Reigns is just it and you're wrong, you have to change your avatar to something from Rock's Baywatch movie for a year, and if you bet Cody will get the WM match and you're wrong, you have to have "Poor Cody" in your username until Roman loses the titles. If it were me I'd do Rock/Roman night 1 and Cody/Seth night 1 and have the titles unified on night 2. That would be a good way to salvage it. Actually the only way to salvage it. |

Finish the story! Finish the story! Guess what, there's another story that's been going on for four years that needs to finish first. Cody is still coming for the title but wants to take EVERYTHING from him, which includes The Rock taking the head of the table from him. There's nothing that says he's going after Seth. He could've made a deal to get a shot at the WWE Championship at Summerslam instead. But everybody please continue jumping to conclusions and reacting irrationally. So the grand conclusion to the story is "My big brother's gonna beat you up you meanie!" from Cody in stepping aside for The Rock so he can then take the belt at a lesser PPV than Mania, which HHH told everyone was the end game when he lost at Mania the first time? Cool, so this story f***ing blows, got it! "Just wait and see bro WWE never drops the ball and Papa Haitch is cooking" |

This is like if Rocky had somebody else fight Apollo in Rocky 2. I had work tonight, so I didn't catch Smackdown. It sounds like they're following up Rocky proving he could go the distance with Apollo Creed in the first movie by having Rocky face Spider Rico again for a local championship while Apollo Creed takes on his stupid cousin who was a big-time boxer 25 years ago. Say you're Damian Priest and you see it's Roman vs. Rock at Wrestlemania. Wouldn't you enter yourself into the match? I don't mean like a cheap cash in either like he should enter himself into the match now to get the publicity of being in a Wrestlemania main event match with Roman and Rock. I know that's not going to happen because of what WWE is but it's what a person would do if this was a real life scenario.

I think what bothers me most is The Rock is shit in the ring. If Cody had given up his spot to Jinder Mahal or Lexis King, it would've been gone over better with me. At this point, a 51 year old Rock whose body is not built for strenuous physical activity and is more roids than man would be complete dogshit in the ring. Dude was winded as f*** cutting a post-show promo. |
