I was wrong. I thought it would be Cody/Roman at WM but no, it's not happening? Why? No it's not because of Triple H booking, it's something greater than that.

Because of Rock.

This is that "Bayside is gonna be sold and nobody can stop it so Zach Morris comes back to stop it because only he can stop it" thing. The current stars can't stop Roman so "big bro Rock" comes in and he's going to have his hand at it. Don't mind that it hurts their biggest babyface Cody Rhodes and now he has to go for a lesser title (a title Reigns shat on let alone shitting on the current champion), I mean we can go further. We know Rock ain't going to let Solo get over on him because he's Rock and Solo's taken out everyone including John Cena. We know Reigns will be more scared of Rock than everyone else he's faced thus far. We know Heyman won't beat Rock in a promo battle because he's Rock. This basically benefits no one but him. We were literally in an era where current stars were handling WM themselves without part-timers.

And here comes Rock.

It's not even about "Cody" or "Bitchalla" or anything like that. We gotta look at the bigger picture. This is about Cody, Roman, Solo, Jimmy, Heyman, shit this is about a lot of people looking bad in favor of Rock coming back. It ain't jokes, it's really gonna happen.

That's just shitty booking and not good for the company. Way to go.

I don't know how much clearer it was but Cody literally walked the f*** out of this storyline. He didn't stand in unity with The Rock, he stepped to the side. He's not even gonna pay attention to Roman anymore, and his face said it all.

If WWE doesn't announce in a press release in the next few days that Cody v Roman is happening in Perth at EC then Cody looks like a complete idiot. There is no way in kayfabe he can choose to face Seth and duck Roman unless he already knows he's getting the match earlier instead and new exec Rock helped make the match happen hence their agreement/handshake.

The way he said "but not at Wrestlemania" is giving me hope that's the case and he beats Roman at EC probably with Rock as ref/enforcer to deal with Solo/Jimmy. Cody wins and Roman blames Rock leading to their Mania match. That's the ideal scenario and maybe it's just copium wanting to believe that's what's happening because if he chose to completely duck Roman and that's not happening at EC or WM he looks terrible. There's no way around it.
