Did you not just see what happened? Cody Rhodes said he wanted Roman’s belt but he wasn’t going to do it at WrestleMania, then walked out of the ring when The Rock showed up. How much more clear does it need to be? The main event is Rock-Reigns for the belt and Cody’s best-case scenario is challenging for the consolation prize belt.

NOTHING ABOUT THAT SAID IT WAS FOR THE TITLE. And again, Elimination Chamber is coming up.

I don't know how much it could have been spelled out to you. Cody literally passed the storyline to The Rock and he f***ing LEFT lmfao. He's not continuing this story at the Chamber, he straight up bounced.

He literally did not. There's another show before WM. NOT A SINGLE GODDAMN THING WAS PASSED. We are getting Cody/Roman in Australia and Rock/Roman will be non-title because Rock's going to help dethrone Roman.

The amount of insistence on IT'S ALL RUINED without even for a second stopping to actually think about what's there is mindboggling.

If it’s anything short of Cody getting his crowning moment at Wrestlemania, it’s a complete dropped ball and utterly bungled storyline for the sake of some press on ESPN and a WRESTLEMANIA MOMENT ™.

Even if Cody wins it now, he’s been deprived of doing it on the biggest stage and it’s complete and utter horseshit. There’s this level of backlash for a reason.

I probably sound like a mark saying this, but this segment honestly killed my hype for Mania. I'm honestly more interested in seeing the aftermath of the Vince scandal unfold than this year's show.

HHH, should he remain with the company past this month, is going to have to do some galaxy-brained booking to keep Cody's momentum intact. Bret wasn't totally killed by the Hogan intervention at Mania 9, but the company was in a much different era then. I have zero problem with it because it's crystal clear how this is gonna go: Cody becomes champ at EC, Rock vs. Roman is non-title. My only question is who challenges Cody.

The only hope I have is that WWE has its finger on the pulse and pivots. Otherwise the most entertaining part of that match is gonna be watching Rock’s reaction to that match getting completely hijacked by the crowd.
