I’m just trying to imagine the thought process that goes into building up the longest title reign of the modern era only to have him drop it in a match not announced until, at earliest, two weeks out on a show before Mania…where they just announced the main event they’ve tried to put together for YEARS.
Yeah…sure…just gonna fly around the world to drop it real quick. Makes total sense.
Come on, people.

This is unreal, man. They can't be able to do this. Not on a like "someone can stop them" denial way but like. This was the one thing they couldn't not see through. The single thing that all the decisions led to with a completely unflinching commitment to. Cody beats Roman at Mania 40. It's the only way it could go. The only outcome that could justify the choices they made. And here are with Cody vs. Roman at Mania no longer even on the books. It's crazy. Even for as cynical as I am about WWE's booking, I never could have imagined they'd do thuis. It seemed like it was a step too far into self-parody. It's real.

You’re still all going to look silly once Cody’s eventually holding those belts. I can’t wait to clown on each and every last one of you. It’s coming. It’s going to be glorious. Exactly. So much jumping the gun and it's been one night. We still have two months to go. So deciding that the absolute worst is FOR SURE happening is a great way to end up looking foolish.

Roman isn’t working Elimination Chamber. He has never been scheduled to work it. He isn’t on the show. They just told you what his next match is. They didn’t do that to then announce another match in between it. And plans change. He'll be at EC. Hahahahahahaha

Weren't you the one who made the thread not to complain about Cody till the Mania main event and then subsequently just locked that thread? Yes, because there really should be one topic for it, and I said that Rock had to win the title for your Misery Train to have some viable fuel inside it. Just going off the thread itself and the reason for locking it, your last post in that thread was "You're not all about to dogpile me for this" it wasn't about having two threads lol Not blaming you btw because for the Cody truthers this is about as worst case as it gets. And now you're saying we're all gonna look silly if Cody wins the belts, no, this whole thing is f***ing silly, and even if Cody wins the belts at some point down the line they missed the shot where it'd matter the most, point blank

Everyone is shitting on this. I haven't seen one person say they like this online. Granted, I didn't see every post in this thread but everywhere else? Yeah, it's being shat on. Man, I haven't been this upset with a WWE booking system since, oh, since last year's WM when Cody lost. These ***** are so damn dumb at times. This is stupid. I have zero problem with it because it's crystal clear how this is gonna go: Cody becomes champ at EC, Rock vs. Roman is non-title. My only question is who challenges Cody. So your solution here is the guy whose nickname is The American Nightmare to win his big title match at like 8 AM in Australia when a good portion of the US fanbase will be asleep?

And another thing is they had Cody saying "finishing the story is taking everything from you."
Taking everything from Roman is finishing your story? How does this make sense? It's about the title and that's it so now you're telling us that your story is crushing Roman? Even when you said it BEFORE you faced Roman?
Who the f*** told Cody to say this bullshit? This doesn't make any sense. Bruh...

Everyone seems to be saying that the crowds are going to shit all over the rock… every live crowd goes absolutely nuts for him. I know there’s time for that to change but I don’t think some opinions on here represent the majority.

It's definitely taken away the excitement for me going to WM Night 2 as I was hoping Cody/Roman 2 would be the headline.

We've disagreed on plenty of things but this is where we're right on the money with one another Cody walked out, he literally stepped to the side, he's not just gonna go "Oh yeah Roman I'm fighting you at Perth for the belt!" after that or he would have said that and it still would have been stupid Him not wrestling for the belts at Mania ruins this, completely, that was the end game. Anywhere else is lesser then and they've made that painfully clear. Cody got bumped out, and no matter what he got completely f***ed over here

I always wondered what would’ve happened if they just went through with Batista vs. Randy Orton in the main event of WrestleMania XXX. Now we get to see it play out.

THIS was the endgame we were promised for TWO YEARS and they bailed on it, and they f***ed this up, it's on them, and they're gonna have to own it They did it for The Rock harder than Rikishi did.

Cody was getting roasted by children in a commercial about not finishing the story.
And now he’s not going to.

I'm not even mad, I'm impressed.
All signs currently point to Rock/Roman, so that quite possibly rendered the Rumble moot *and* maybe even the Chamber matches unless they get used for US or IC contendership?
Wow...just wow.
