If Endeavor was considered the "better" choice to sell to vs the Saudis and this is the fallout, I shudder to think what the fallout would've been had Vince actually sold WWE to the Saudis. Well for starters, the tag belts would now be held by Vacant

posted in the sales thread but posting here as well Per Meltzer on WOL Triple H's role in creative is now basically busy work. Endeavor wanted Vince in charge and that's what's being done Depressing.

Honestly, the one I feel bad for the most is Michael Cole, because he finally was able to commentate without someone yelling in his ear constantly.

I’ve been thinking about what’s happened, these past two nights, and what the thought process behind them might’ve been. And I know Endeavour is letting Vine back behind the wheel. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t make suggestions. And what if they aren’t as tired of Brock vs. Roman as we are?
Why did Brock attack Cody? Why did they keep belaboring the point that Brock couldn’t challenge Roman? Paul Heyman would rather leave a party early, than stay too long. Maybe Mania started to make him see a chink in the armor. Maybe he thinks that Cody is still the biggest threat to Roman. So, without Roman knowing, he goes to Brock and says that if Brock takes out Cody, he will waive that no challenge clause. Roman finds out, wise man gets the boot, and we get Brock vs. Roman episode 72. You’re welcome.

Jesus. Now that I think about it, how long was gorilla an announcer? Feels like he did it for an eternity

If Endeavor was considered the "better" choice to sell to vs the Saudis and this is the fallout, I shudder to think what the fallout would've been had Vince actually sold WWE to the Saudis. Massive amounts of talent would have asked for their release. And a large portion of the fanbase would have stopped watching on moral grounds.

Hopefully there’s enough of an uproar that Vince slinks back to more of a “big picture” creative head that’s not running gorilla and not ripping up shows day of. Friday will be telling.

Speaking as someone whose hometown team is now owned by the government of Saudi Arabia, I'm not sure either of those things would have happened.

Yeah I have to imagine a lot of talent are in trouble here, especially the ones HHH specifically brought back or pushed because he liked them, Kross, a lot of the girls he brought back, LA Knight, Bray, etc
I have to feel like if Vince is back in charge all the peeps he brought back are on the chopping block, and I also have to feel some talents actually will want to leave, Drew's deal hasn't been renewed and I can't imagine this helps, Asuka and Bayley both sound super pissed off, Braun was cut by Vince before so idk if he's safe, and Ali seemed to come back when Vince was gone even if his bookings been shit either way
I can't see everyone who has been under HHH staying, whether they want to or not in some cases, if Vince is back in full control.

As long as he stays out of Florida and away from HBK's NXT, he can f*** about again on the main roster to his heart's content. I'm not watching anymore.
Vince is a decrypted, creatively bankrupt old bastard whose made more money being wrong that he'll never, ever change - this disaster of a show did a huge rating, and sustained a huge demo for almost the whole night - so Vince's way worked again, at least that's what he'll think. Whether he is there at SD on Friday, or Raw next week will be the real tell, as the article itself says.
But even then HHHunter has shown he doesnt know how to book conclusions; even if you look back at his NXT, he could never really end things there either.
HBK is the only person in WWE with a book that writes an entertaining show.

This guy's such a piece of shit, man.
I said I'd keep watching the main roster, but if he keeps putting out shows like last night's it's going to be very hard to stick to that.

It honestly wouldn't shock me if Cole called it a career after a few more months. The guy's made more than enough money and can probably put out a pretty good book that should get him even more money. I just can't imagine that he'll be able to tolerate going back to Vince screaming at him for three straight hours after having freedom for the last six months.

Plus, like, Cole's had his redemption arc, people properly recognize just how damn good he actually is now, his legacy's set. He has all the reasons in the world to hang it up.

Just imagine being Wade or Kevin, who have never known having Vince screaming in your ear all night.
