Quick question, why are we dog piling on someone because they don't like what has been described by many as a bad booking decision? Kinda weird. Because there's a bit of hypocrisy in it all. And that's all I'll say out of respect b/c while it is a bit "c'mon man..." it's still not right to dog pile someone like that. Unless it's a sexy dog pile. I don't even know what that means. I'm going to stop typing now. |

Before getting to Raw, a follow up on WrestleMania. I decided that I will not count Shane McMahon in my Mania Records. The bell never rang to call for a No Contest when he got hurt. Snoop Dogg took over him & pinned The Miz. Like earlier this year, with Dominik Mysterio replacing Finn Balor during the Tag Team Turmoil & then Sami Zayn replacing Jimmy Uso during the Tag Title Match against The Judgment Day, I will just count who finished the match as a participant, therefore Snoop gets the win & Shane doesn't get anything.
Unfortunately I can't promote my Mania W/L Records, Facts, & Stats, since I haven't finished them. And there won't be any Facts for Raw, as I want to sit back & enjoy the show.
Here are my Raw Thoughts:
Incredible WrestleMania Recap.
Just realized that Raw should have had a graphic for Bushwhacker Butch to open the show. I hope they do something later.
Awesome Triple H promo. He made me cry & gave me goosebumps. It was cool that he recognized all of the crew & everyone that worked behind the scenes. I love that he said WWE isn't going anywhere. I like him introducing Roman Reigns.
BTW, as much as I was pissed last night when Cody Rhodes didn't win the Undisputed Title & Roman Reigns won, I'm over it already. The hero losing & trying to overcome the odds is what makes pro wrestling what it is. So, I'm interested in seeing what happens next.
Therefore my WrestleMania Rankings changed. I switched the Undisputed Title Match & The Hell In A Cell Match.

Now back to Raw: Excellent segment with Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes. All of us got worked up over nothing. The feud is going to continue one way or another. Awesome Reigns & Solo Sikoa VS Cody & Brock Lesnar!!!! Holy Crap. I wanted a 6MT with Cody, Sami, & KO VS Bloodline, but this will do. Screw it. I have to do this Fact. With Cody Rhodes VS Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa will be Brock Lesnar's 1st RAW Match since he defeated Tommy Dreamer on 7/22/02.This will be Lesnar's 1st Tag since he def The Wyatt Family in a Handicap Match at Roadblock on 3/12/16, 1st 2-on-2 since he & Big Show lost to John Cena & Eddie Guerrero on Smackdown on 2/12/04 & 1st on Raw since he &
Undertaker defeated Ric Flair & RVD on 7/15/02. It will be Lesnar's 1st Televised Match since he defeated Kofi Kingston to win the WWE Title on Smackdown on 10/4/19. It will be Roman Reigns' 1st Raw since 7/25/22 when he & The Usos defeated Riddle & The Street Profits.
Elias VS Omos was horrible.
Wow. Roman Reigns will be dealing with The Usos on Smackdown according to Paul Heyman. He's mad they lost the Tag Titles to Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn.
Good recap of the Hall of Fame. Nice comments from Bad Bunny. And I don't care that a Smackdown wrestler is on Raw. It's the night after WrestleMania especially that it's Rey Mysterio.
Good promo by Rey Mysterio & good response by Austin Theory. They should have a great match. I hope it gets a lot of time as I want more wrestling on the show.
Rey Mysterio VS Austin Theory was excellent despite the interference. I would love this feud to continue so Rey can get a US Title Match, but he's a Smackdown wrestler so he shouldn't be challenging for a Raw Title. Yes, Dominik & Bad Bunny going at it & then Damien Priest laying Bunny out. I guess we will be getting Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, & Bad Bunny VS The Judgment Day at Backlash.
People Vince McMahon is not back. They already said that he will have nothing to do with the day-to-day Creative. Everything is still under Triple H so stop with that crap.
Good segment with Adam Pearce & Damian Preist. It's good to see Priest doing a storyline as he's been in the background of everyone else in Judgment Day while they had their own feuds leading to WrestleMania.
What a long day Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn had along with Bianca Belair. They flew the red-eye from LA to New York to appear on The Today Show at 9:00 this morning & then flew back to LA for Raw.
Awesome promo by Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. They look amazing as Undisputed Tag Team Champions. I figured that it would be The Street Profits as their 1st Challengers, especially since SP won the WrestleMania Showcase Match.
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn VS The Street Profits was an incredible 1st Defense for Owens & Zayn. I guess they dropped the idea of having separate Title Defenses for the Raw & Smackdown Tag Titles.
Fun Seth Rollins promo.
I thought someone was going to debut against Seth Rollins. Stupid. But Bobby Lashley & Bronson Reed was cool. That will be a fun storyline. BTW, whatever happened to Reed being the bodyguard to The Miz. Mustafa Ali sucks with this gimmick.
Bobby Lashley VS Mustafa Ali was a stupid squash.
People stop complaining about Raw. We still have an hour left. So, it's not filled with surprises & debuts yet. I have enjoyed the show. The matches have been great except for the squashes.
Solid Roman Reigns promo.
Great segment hinting at Bianca Belair VS Rhea Ripley. And more Smackdown Wrestlers on Raw with Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, but what was the point of the 4-Way if Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey aren't next in line for the Women's Tag Titles even if Rousey is still hurt.
One good thing about tonight is no more Chrisley Knows Best as those criminals are officially over. I don't mind seeing tons of commercials for Race To Survive Alaska.
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez VS Damage CTRL was good. So why couldn't they win yesterday?
People, you want your returns & surprises. You got Riddle against The Miz, who's promo was very good. It was a fun segment. And Corey Graves, Riddle last wrestled in December. That's 4 months, not nearly a year.
Good promo by Lita, Becky Lynch, & Trish Stratus. Next week's Raw looks good.
God damn it. I did all of that research for nothing. I liked fun Brock Lesnar. Why did he do that to CodyRhodes? Such BS Bait & Switch. You hype an amazing Tag Match to main event Raw & you get that crap. Horrible.
What a horrible ending. Yes, Cody Rhodes VS Brock Lesnar could be a great feud & match when it happens, most likely at KOTR to get the Blood Money, but they could have done it after the match. What a waste of a show.
And to make it worse, they didn't do a single thing to honor Bushwhacker Butch. Such disrespect to a legend.

So we didn't get all of the surprises that we expect from the Raw After WrestleMania. The matches were all good except for the squashes. The in-ring promos were great, but the closing segment showed that 3 hrs was a waste of time. Not a good way to showcase Raw to your new owners. Whoever booked it, whether it was Vince or Triple H should be ashamed of themselves for that crap.

Ok guys, calm the hell down. the Majority opinion is clear just from reading the thread that it was bad... If you like the show that's fine... it doesn't give you the right to attack other posters or claim they are shills for AEW or whatever... This has nothing to do with AEW. and this part goes for both sides here, people can have opinions either way, that doesn't give you the right to mock other people. And on record, I haven't mocked people once here, closest I got was saying the cheers for HHH were part of the problem, and I openly admitted I was angry when I said that and it was probably too far I don't attack others for their viewpoints, I might be aggressive in how I defend or don't like something, but no one has ever been called out like this publicly and absolutely lambasted like I have been for simply being negative, and bringing AEW into it when AEW has nothing to do with it is just surreal to me Thank you for saying something, it means a lot. |
