I mean, I'm sure he's happy as champion and all, but do you ever think he might want the chance to put someone over? Or do something different than just the Tribal Chief stuff?

He sleeps in a big bed with his wife?
Honestly I see him jus considering it a massive retirement fund/safety net.
Guy beat leukaemia twice and has a happy family. I'm pretty sure he's always looking for the time he can just leave all this behind.

I feel like if he really wanted to put someone over, as deluxe #1 top guy forever, he could get it done and not cut promos about how deluxe shit they are en route to beating them.
Actually wait I just remembered a quote from him saying the Bloodline thing elevates everyone involved, which. Lol.

I think that this is his last big big run as a regular and he’s just going with it to make as much money as possible before getting an acting gig in Fast 14 or something.

I don't see anything really wrong with being content with his spot and raking the money in, since end of the day you've got to do what's right for you when it comes to a job, but I do find the whole idea of him being any kind of leader pretty eyerolling when people bring that up. Not that I think it's a moral failing or anything but I do feel like if he had any sort of actual interest in elevating other people or making them look good he could easily get away with it rather than being this insufferable fire blanket that gets thrown on anything that starts to heat up in his proximity. Like immediately crushing Xavier after he won King of the Ring, there was absolutely no gain in that for anyone involved.

I imagine being a leader in the locker room has to do with your personal relationships in dealing with people backstage and/or setting an example through your actions both backstage and how you perform, and doesn’t have to do with creative. That’s on the company.

That’s on the company. Still, dude absolutely has the pull to give more than he does, and if you genuinely care about uplifting everyone then allowing other people to step up and get their own things going should be a concern instead of constantly smothering them to sustain yourself. It's great that he does what he does, I'm not saying he's not a positive presence, but he isn't a leader.

I mean, he's clearly "bought in", and I"m not even particularly mad about that. He's a good soldier that's been promoted to field general. He's not gonna rock the boat, and that's why they like him being the guy. It's not HIS fault the story has turned to shit.

"Cody is this year's Batista" seems to have been replaced by trying to talk into existence the idea that Roman isn't insanely popular.
If he didn't question his push when he was a face being booed out of the building, I doubt he'd think anything of it now.

He was booked awfully by the company as a face for 6 years. I'm sure he's going to enjoy this for as long as he can.

I'm sure that he's going to do that, especially as the entire reason for him holding the titles is to break records for the sake of breaking them, storylines or character development be dammed. The other problem is that nobody comes out of a feud with Reigns looking better than before, and usually they look like choke artists due to how every Reigns match ends. Jey Uso did get to the main event as a singles star, but then became Romans Bitch. The only dude I would say was elevated by working with Roman has been Sami Zayn, and I would put most of that on Sami himself.

Roman probably feels like this lol and, tbf, why shouldn't he? I'd assume he'd like to use it to help other wrestlers get elevated as well but I'm sure he's more than happy with the money he's making out of this.

I meantioned it another thread, but what’s the worst that would happen to Roman if he called an audible and just didn’t kick out of a pin?

Dude is company through and through, so that won't be an issue. Knowing WWE though they'd find a way to nullify the result the next night and continue his reign.
