Well, my son will love this, at least. Imagine! A fantasy animated movie meant to attract kids! Truthfully, Animated and maybe Prime were the last TF series that appealed to all sensibilities.

Optimus with lips. No buys. He wanted Fallen's face so he may have lips.

Yeah, with the live-action movies in a definite cooling off period and the last couple of animated productions aimed at teens and older it makes sense to switch to the pre-teen demographic for this one. Still, the humour just didn't click for me.

As someone who grew up with the original cartoon I’m very intrigued by this. Pre-war Cybertron and Optimus & Megatron’s friendship never been explored before in a movie so I’ll be interested to see how they handle that.
I like this younger more carefree Orion Pax. Optimus Prime in most recent incarnations has been a very stoic character so I like this different take. Also, I love how Cybertron looks. Not just metal everywhere but plants and wildlife? Could we see Petro-rabbits and turbofoxes? And it looks like we’re getting the Quintessons.
My one nitpick is that I wouldn’t have gone with Bumblebee. The character has been a little over exposed. I would have preferred a future Decepticon like Thundercracker. (Starscream and Soundwave are too obvious.)

Lifelong Transformers fan here
I think the movie looks pretty good, but that trailer didn’t do it many favors.
Still, one of the *many* decisions I supported with the 2007 movie was making it to appeal to moviegoers rather than to Transformers fans, specifically. Similar decisions were made with Superman in the 70s and Batman in the 80s and, like with TF07 they paid off and wound up growing the their respective franchises significantly.
This trailer looks like it’d appeal to folks who see animated movies, much like the Super Mario Bros movie did.

you know what we need for a movie trailer in 2024 based on a TV show from 1984 is a rolling stones song from 1981
