I think we can agree that he’s not ready yet, but that’s why Minshew was signed as a bridge QB. Yeah, but that's why I don't like it even more. If it were 1998 where you can sit a guy for a year or year+, but taking someone #4 overall means there's gonna be so much pressure to play him early. I don't think he should play more than 2-4 games his rookie year, but I don't think that's how it'll go down. Well, I think last season was an anomaly with regards to how the Colts are run. Irsay is normally very patient and level headed as far as the team itself goes (I’ll address this in a minute). I think with a new coach Irsay is willing to be patient again. I just cannot express just how much and how quickly the Carson Wentz experience gave Irsay a serious case of the red-ass. He was clearly severely pissed before pre-season was done as Wentz undermined Irsay’s own push to get the entire team vaccinated. His vocal opposition gave others the excuse to not get vaccinated themselves, which actually was a massive factor in the late season collapse as several starters lost time to Covid. It’s a testament to Irsay’s patience that he didn’t force Ballard to fire Reich then, but he was out of grace opportunities. The Saturday decision? In retrospect, it’s not as insane as it seemed. It was insane, but not quite as insane as it seems. He did have some good qualities as a coach as he did at least fix the offensive line issues, which is why Ballard tried to hire him previously as an offensive line coach. If he had other abilities they could have stumbled into a full time coach. If not, he shits the bed and they get a top 5 pick. They still should have promoted Bubba Ventrone instead.

I don't mind the OT from Tennessee, but I do think Skoronski should have been the choice. But I guess if you want a RT, they're looking for less of a pass pro guy and a more balanced tackle. Yeah, but that's why I don't like it even more. If it were 1998 where you can sit a guy for a year or year+, but taking someone #4 overall means there's gonna be so much pressure to play him early. Colts seemed like they were building a solid quasi-contender before last season. QB has been their issue since Luck retired, so while I see the upside of a swing this big at a franchise QB, I think the downside could lend itself to just as much instability at the most important position in sports.

Another puzzling running back choice as Detroit is aiming to take Gibbs from Bama
Falcons and Lions both have two solid Running Back options, they must be super scared of injuries, Lions especially with Swift and Montgomery

So for a need, I understand. From a value perspective, an RB here in general is suspect and Gibbs I don't think is all that great.

Philly is known to have one of the best heads of security in the NFL so he probably vetted a lot of Carter’s off the field stuff. Not to mention that the Eagles have one of the strongest locker rooms in NFL plus two of Carter’s former teammates. Also, what the f*** is Detroit doing??

Patriots grab a fourth rounder to move down three spots. Which makes sense because the Pats are likely to pick up a guy who was supposed to go in the third round anyway

How much of a bobo do you have to be to go to the NFL draft? Seems like a good awful borefest must it be to spend all this money and take all this time to go to Kansas City of all places to watch some guys walk on a stage every ten minutes

I might go check it out when they come to Detroit.
