We all know that wrestling has its share of sleezy promotional tactics and angles, lurid segments to try to turn heads, or just plain embarrassing gimmicks and matches, and sure enough, it always seems likes it's something like that and not a great match that someone's family member walks in on.
I remember it being 2000 or 2001 when my uncle walked in on me watching wrestling. He used to watch the Von Erichs years ago, so he was mildly curious, only to see Chris Jericho mocking Stephanie McMahon for getting a boob job and showing side by side photos. It's just how the universe works, I guess.
What are some similar stories any of you have?

When Rikishi gave Vince McMahon the stinkface and Lawler was making fart noises, my mom walked by and saw it and didn't even have words, just kept walking lol.

Paul Bearer was a huge George Jones fan and ended up meeting him, becoming close friends with some of his band members, etc. Whenever things worked out in everyone’s schedules, Paul would get these friends tickets to WWE shows because they were big fans.
He got them tickets to the Raw where they did the Katie Vick thing. Paul was mortified and called them the next day to apologize, saying, “I’m sorry you had to see that, because I’m sorry that I saw it.”
Not quite family walking in, but it’s the first thing that popped into my head. It’s definitely a moment that works.

Any part of the Matt Hardy/Kane/Lita/Snitsky saga.

The hogan and rock ambulance stuff. My mother knew I watched wrestling but never really sat down and watched it but she did on this occasion and she worked in the medical field and she did not take it well AT ALL. She stormed out, and my mother very rarely gets annoyed.

My parents were already in the room when I was watching it, but the 1987 Slammy Awards. I would have been about 12 or 13 at the time, and there was a lot of eye rolling and muttered put downs. However, it wasn’t until Hogan broke Superstar Billy Graham’s crutch that my parents both let out a ‘Oh for God’s sake!’, and I realised that yeah, maybe this was a bit too much...

Not family, but we did have friends from work walk in as we where watching some Best of RAW tape that had the Val Venis choppy choppy pee pee segment on it. That was awkward. And that was back when wrestling was during it's most popular phase.
At the school I used to go to, there was an auditorium that they sometimes forgot to lock at the evenings, so when possible I would go there in the evenings and watch the latest WWF ppv recording on the big screen. I was always worried that some one would walk in uring some bra and panties match. At the same time I hate to ff stuff so I would just hope that that particular match would be over soon. And luckily someone never walked in during one of those.

The Pheromones would be the worst, only watch when you're 100% the house is empty, windows locked and the door is triple bolted.

Mark Henry's Attitude Era greatest hits: his intimate encounter with Sammy, getting ball-gagged and whipped by PMS and fathering Mae Young's hand baby.

My mom walked in the room during the match between William Regal and Naked Mideon at No Mercy 2000.
Not quite “walking in” but my dad and I attended a WWE house show in 2005. When Viscera performed the Visagra on Trevor Murdoch, Dad looked at me and said “that’s just wrong.” I couldn’t argue with him there.

1999:
Mum walked into the room during The Godfather's entrance.
Mum - Why are they chanting "In the Navy?" My younger sister: It's not that. It's "pimping ain't easy". Mum- I... see.
Mum walked right back out of the room again.

I've trotted out this story alot, but imaging watching Royal Rumble 2000 and THAT segment comes on, while you're in the room with your mother, your father and your SIX YEAR OLD SISTER! I'm astonished my dad didn't turn it off.

When Bret Hart got pissed that he lost that match on Raw and used the phrase "GOD DAMN" on Raw. My dad was a preacher and happened to be there for this and he ordered me to turn the channel. Dad also made me turn the channel when Papa Shango was on.

(I'm genuinely curious, not asking to be a jerk, I find different upbringings fascinating)

(I'm genuinely curious, not asking to be a jerk, I find different upbringings fascinating) I was never into Harry Potter, but anything with wizards, witches, demons, etc. was pretty much forbidden. My parents were not very consistent though because I listened to hard rock music with the filthiest lyrics and they never batted an eye. Just no Ozzy or Metallica or AC/DC because those guys were obviously Satanic? In their defense, my parents have both mellowed out a lot over the years. Their child raising days just happened to coincide with the Satanic Panic.
