I wouldn't read too much into just one or two factors when it comes to determining 'drawing power'. Orange Cassidy moves plenty of merch, but he was just recently main eventing cards on the 'House Rules' tour where at best they hit 50% capacity in markets that hadn't been visited by a big company in years. Being able to move merch doesn't necessarily equate to more ticket sales, and vice versa. Though if he sold a ton of merch at those shows, maybe it smooths out the ticket sale side of things…. No idea if that is correct but it would be interesting to see details.

Back in the day when I did efeds, I would look at indy wrestling rosters to find people to use as avatars for my custom wrestler*. For a time, I used CM Punk without ever seeing him wrestle. So I was super excited when he signed with WWE and I followed his career there closely. My favorite wrestling memory is being live in person at the Allstate Arena for MITB 2011.
*I also, for a time, used Atlas Dabone as an avatar.

I'd like to see him repackaged as Country Music Punk doing a Honky Tonk Man type of schtick

Shat on punk in the other thread but has to be said, he is the absolute best all around talent of this generation. He's got charisma for days, is an incredible worker and there's a reason AEW is bending over backwards for him.

All of this is subjective of course.

Tonight proved he’s still heads above most if not all promos in AEW. So many great lines but the one which really resonated with what I want in wrestling was his shot at MJF. “You were in the best dog collar match, I won the best dog collar match.”

So many great lines but the one which really resonated with what I want in wrestling was his shot at MJF. “You were in the best dog collar match, I won the best dog collar match.” He didn't lose a step in ring either in terms of his AEW workrate Definitely had to shake off rust and his top rope moves were a bit anti gravity but it was his first match, and he didn't botch anything so that's a big plus He and Jay White were awesome together

That's not gonna change any time soon.
