I remember people kept saying during the Revolution pre show that Twitter were really negative about him. Tbf, he wasn't as good as he is on Hey! (EW) but still, if they start making decisions based on what miserable pieces of shit on Twitter say they'd be making a big old misstep.

Hopefully there isn't a bunch of comedy spots like there was in previous anarchy in the arena/stadium stampede matches. I don't think that would make sense for this particular feud. It should be a war.
I'm guessing Takeshita turns and joins BCC then you get Blood & Guts with Mox/Danielson/Claudio/Yuta/Takeshita v Kenny/Bucks/Page/Ibushi sometime soon.
I think there' a less than zero chance that MJF loses. It's kinda crazy that this will only be his 2nd title match of the year and 3rd in over 6 months as champ. He makes Roman look like a workaholic who's already at 3 this year.
This is the first Jade PPV match were I think there's a chance she might lose. I don't think she will but there's at least 5% of doubt in my mind that usually isn't there.

Obviously there was a fair amount in Stadium Stampede but I'm (possibly mistakenly) remembering AITA as an all out bloody brawl and quite different to the Stadium Stampede concept. Seen a few saying that it can't live up to the original Anarchy in the Arena but I'd actually be pretty surprised if it didn't surpass it, last one was a bit more of a pure brawl than I like and think adding the Elite could make this one a more compelling mix. Same goes for if they eventually do Blood and Guts, I find the whole War Games concept can be a bit of a drag at time, a bit punchy kicky, so I think adding guys who work at a fast pace with loads going on will make it more interesting. Guess that's a personal preference though.

I didn't see a lot of people say they didn't like him at all, it was probably the usual detractors who were being dicks because Hey EW is super popular online

As someone who thinks the original Anarchy is the best match in the last 10 years, the thing that separates last year's from this year's is just simply Eddie. Doesn't matter if the talent overall is better in this match (it is), nobody is going to pull off the storytelling he did. Nobody is going to come down the ring genuinely looking like he's about to murder someone in the ring with a gas can. Well that and nobody can pull off the Wild Thing loop this year.

That's fair enough, I definitely don't rate it quite as highly as that despite also loving the Kingston visual. I think they'll do their own things that make this one just as memorable, given I think this has a more interesting story going in, and think the trade off for one visual and a song loop for potentially a better match is worth it, but again it's a personal preference.

So is this one going to air on Max or does that only apply to later events?

So is this one going to air on Max or does that only apply to later events? Nobody knows the full extent as to what is going to be on Max but 100% Double or Nothing won't be live on Max. Every week it becomes increasingly absurd that the 4 way is main eventing over Anarchy in the Arena. In 2020/2021, the mega tag match main evented. This year, the four way has probably less heat than any title match in a real long time. So it main eventing over the mega tag with your four biggest active stars along with the ROH champ and the biggest tag team stars...come on.

I really think the match itself will make up for a pretty lacklustre build. All four guys are great and will be out to prove something

I know a number of people are wanting Takeshita to join BCC, but I feel like it'd create a big question of "to what end?" He's good enough to where I am sure he could do it, but unless it'd be like, right before it'd set him up to be Orange for the International title or something, sort of like how Yuta won the TV title not long after joining BCC, it risks making him just come off fickle if he's teaming with people who have beat the shit out of him for no clearly established reason.
I am alright with the four way main eventing, provided that A. they turn out an especially good match, and B. something of gravity happening. I do understand not wanting to undermine MJF as champion or to undersell guys who are all clearly investments by AEW, but I do sort of wonder if maybe Jungle Boy could have stood to have gone into this having been a TNT champion or something in the past. He did win the tag belts, which is certainly a feather in AEW that's good to have in your cap, but of the four guys, he's the one who indisputably has the least singles credentials. At least he finally got to end the momentum-destroying Christian feud, which had good stuff in it, it just... overstayed its welcome in a big way.

Have said in another thread how unhappy I am with Jay, Ricky, Keith and Swerve not getting their singles matches but it does add some star power to that Battle Royal at least, definitely feels believable that Orange could lose his belt so should be an interesting match.
With rumours about Jamie's injury I feel a bit flat about her match with Toni, if she's legit hurt to the point she needs to drop the belt that's going to affect the match quality there, would be a shame if they can't deliver the level they're capable of, having nightmares now about a Christian/Jungle Boy style non match.
AEW always tend to deliver on PPV and I think the builds been really good (though I'm sure some will disagree) but it feels like they're reliant on a few matches to really knock it out of the park now. I think Anarchy in the Arena and the Pillars Match are sure to deliver and Jericho/Cole should be very good but it really feels like they need some of the undercard matches to go beyond expectations.

Smart decision for putting that trios match in the Buyin, imo Buyin still needs 1 more match.

As much as I'm enjoying OC's title run and am not ready for it to end (especially in a battle royal) the thought of either Jay White or Swerve Strickland as champ is very appealing to me. OC's run as champ has really elevated the belt and made it a highlight of every show, IMO, and I think White and Swerve would only build on that. It's worth more than the TNT title in my eyes these days.
