Even as a horror fan I remember thinking See No Evil would be terrible but it was really no worse than most B horror stuff. It did decently at the box office too so all the May 19th marketing worked to a degree. In fact the first few WWE films were moderate hits and made profits (Marine, See No Evil, 12 Rounds) but then the Austin one The Condemned was a huge bomb. WWE Films in general was profitable. A lot of the side projects were at least moderately successful... hell WWE made a ton of money off of Tout from what I remember... it's just things like the WBF and XFL Were just massive failures and the rest were not massively successful people assume they were failures.

It would have done far better if the premise was literally Stone Cold has been captured and sent to the wrestling gulag by Vince McMahon and must fight his way out before the corporation execute him
