I understand if someone prefers one of them over the other. That's totally fine. I don't understand why there is such a debate. Personally, I like both. Some people would be all like "you can't like both." Um, yes, I can. Although I may give pancakes the slight edge, I still like waffles, too. Hell, while we're at it, why not add French toast to the mix?
What are your thoughts?

I for the real saviours of breakfast that being the almighty Omlettes.
Althought I do declare Waffles are always superior over those Mike Bennet of breakfast called Pancakes.

Waffles catch the syrup better, with pancakes the syrup just flows right off onto the plate, then you end up having to slide the pancake through the syrup puddle like some kind of Neanderthal.
On the other hand, pancakes are smaller so you can eat more of them. Ain’t nobody making a shortstack of waffles without glancing around to see who might be judging them for their sociopathic tendencies.
Of course, you could always choose to not be a godless heathen and just eat crepes like I do.

You fancy shmancy people and your unfilling breakfast meals. The superior breakfast is the -silog. The si is sinagag, or garlic fried rice. The log is itlog, or egg, sunny side up in this case. The - is the various fried meats that would pair with the rice and egg. Like tapsilog, beef tapa which is fried beef strips - or longsilog, longganisa/sausage - or my personal favorite, bacsilog, which is bacon. Daingsilog which also rocks, that's dried salty fish. From corned beef to hotdogs, anything is fair game. That said, nothing like hot, soft pancakes with a slice of cold, salted butter. Put that butter on top and roll the pancake. |

It's simple
Pancakes=IHOP which sucks and smells funny and has over priced below average food.
Waffles=Waffle House which is great and smells good and has good food for a good price. and you might get to see a fight.
So waffles win every time.

Today I learned that there is a thing about pancakes vs waffles apparently? That reminds me of when I found out that supposedly there was a rivalry between star wars and star trek fans. I was in my late teens and loved both at the time, as did many of my friends. Took me completely by surprise. |
