The correct choice, obviously. Came in with all that hype and lived up to it for the most part. Hopefully the first of many awards.

If the Butler/Miami relationship crumbles I expect the Knicks to be in the frontlines for Butler I guess Randle has to go out the other way for the salaries to even come close.

Jimmy Butler is the textbook definition of “how you gonna hate from outside the club when you can’t even get in.”

Yeah, if anything it would cost them Randle, Bojan(has a non guaranteed deal) and a pick since both have one year left on their deals with a PO

Rudy Gobert is out for game 2 as his girlfriend gave birth to their child
Can make for an interesting game

Usually I'll side with the players, but Riley's a real one. Someone's gotta tell some of these prima donnas how it is. You ain't f***ing lyin. Butler is at a point in his career where I'm not sure a team who isn't on the precipice of a title should be investing in him. Philly should be taking a run at bringing him back. NY should. Riley probably doesn't entertain those deals, because he's an asshole like that. OKC he would be huge. Imagine Shai, Butler, Giddey, Williams, Chet. If Giddey could shoot outside a little better, they'd have everything. Ballhandling, passing, midrange, paint, scoring depth, athleticism.

Rudy Gobert is out for game 2 as his girlfriend gave birth to their child I'm torn. On one hand, I think people expect too much of athletes who are just people. On the other hand, Rudy has often been questioned for how far that Utah team got (or rather didn't get), and now he's a game up on the defending champs in round 2 and he misses it? He's never been to a conference final. If he was missing it for the birth, that's life. But in the age of NBA private jets, when you're making 41 million dollars. I don't like it, but I also don't feel great saying I don't like it.

Is it just me or does the East look insanely weak? Like, the Knicks and Pacers are both solid teams, but they don't strike me as ECF teams, but one of them (likely the Knicks) will get there. Then you have the Cavs who will get smoked by the Celtics. The West seems so much stronger with teams that feel like they belong there. Giannis being hurt and Embiid playing on one leg watered down the East even more, I guess. The Knicks at least look like they are one star away.

Toppin with the disrespect. Josh Hart continues to play basketball that I wasn't sure he was capable of. REALLY good basketball.

That’s pretty much been the talk of the season, the west is a bloodbath and the east is the Celtics and everybody else.

Yeah the Celtics were always the favorites but it’s just remarkable how non-elite the other teams in the East look. Since they are playing each other the games are competitive (for the most part) but if they had to play Minnesota or Denver or OKC, etc, the disparity would be far more obvious.

Celtics/Knicks is the money series for the league so no doubt the Pacers are going to be jobbed by the refs all series.
