So the Suns traded Cam Payne, a second round pick and money to the Spurs for a future second round pick... San Antonio has been getting good bench players for spare change this offseason...

Payne is a really solid backup PG. And Pop will love him. He's kind of an agitator, but not over the top with it like Dray, Smart, Brooks, etc.

And they haven't taken on bad contracts which is a plus They have helped facilitate other trades while getting assets and role players who can contribute to their own team. Bullock and Payne will get their mins Spurs might surprise some people this year. Can't say they will compete for a playoff spot but I think 30-35 wins is doable while being competitive for a good part of the year

Suns need a backup PG in the worst way tho
Cavs have thrown out there they are interested in trading Allen and Rubio is hinting he is ready to go back to Spain after this year. I'd call about those two

Limited market ala Capela. But also would they trade him for futures given that they're close to contending? They shedding salary? Gonna trade him for peanuts and depth?

His first few years in the league he developing a corner 3 game and once he got to the Cavs he stopped shooting it Cavs are mostly disappointed in his performance against the Knicks but yeah I don't really know who they would move him for. Dallas without question could use him but I don't see them wanting to take back Tim Hardaway Jr I would assume they maybe want to go smaller with Mobley at the 5 and Okoro at the 4 and you can throw someone in at the 3 like a THJ or maybe they give Emoni Bates that chance to show why he was a top 5 talent

Considering that The Spurs specifically wanted another veteran presence on the court to help Wemby develop, getting Cam Payne for pretty much nothing is a huge steal.
Also unrelated but there's currently only 2 refs officiating 76ers vs. Pelicans right now because one got hit in the nose. I love Summer League so much.

Lively is their most talented big, so they need him to get minutes but he wouldn't over Allen so it would be two steps forward and one step back. Cleveland, on the other hand, I can't see trading Allen and getting better in the short term.

They still in the market for a starting Center and despite Lively talent they seem to be fine with him taking a step back to learn for a year or two since they don't think he can contribute right now as far a potential championship team I don't think Cavs trade Allen this offseason but something to look out for in the season. Depending how Cavs start the season they may make moves but in theory this should be another leap year for Mobley

But he needs like 14-15 minutes/game this year then maybe 20 next year. Kinda like Mark Williams, low minutes in the first 2-3 months then ramp up the minutes later in the season. Hard for him to get those minutes with a much better player ahead of him. Unless you're using him to get Allen, be it to Cle or another team.

You need young pieces to keep your team afloat and if you don't want this to be a short term process they need to keep him and play him. He's going to get his mins on Dallas just a matter of how much and who else they may bring in Pelicans want to move Jonas so they could also call about him there. Dallas is going to try to get things to stick to make something work where they can because if Kyrie and Luka. can't mesh it will be a mess real fast

Dude just tired to lob it and hit the backboard on the opposite of the rim from the guy he was lobbing it to. Can’t get enough of this nonsense.

Ime Udoka tryharding Summer League is my favorite reoccurring bit. Every other coach has mostly been vibing while the assistant coach works with the team, but this f***ing guy is still right out front like this and has been since Game 1.

If the crowd chanted “AIR BALL” whenever there was one they’d tap out like 45 seconds in. LMAO

Just saw an airball on a jumper, an offensive rebound that was somehow airballed, and then another offensive rebound that was airballed before the shot clock went off.
HOW DO YOU AIRBALL A PUTBACK ATTEMPT…..TWICE!?
