All things considered Dallas gave up very little in trades to acquire Irving,Gafford and PJ Washington and have been proven correct to drop their last 2 regular season games in 2023 to hold onto that years draft pick and get Derrick Lively. OKC with their 87 future 1st's could have easily gotten Gafford instead

OKC with their 87 future 1st's could have easily gotten Gafford instead Interestingly, the pick the Mavs used to acquire Gafford actually came from OKC. The Mavs also traded with OKC to acquire Lively and offload Bertans, which enabled them to get Grant Williams, who in turn was flipped for Washington.

I owe Dallas an apology, I never thought Luka and Kyrie can work Those trades they made helped the squad. If both men are on they are hard to beat With that said, Boston in 6 Yeah I actually liked the Mavs bringing in Kyrie but never thought it would actually lead to a Finals appearance and possible title. I wonder what would have happened had the Nuggets beat the Wolves, but guess we will never know. Kyrie/Luka on paper just didn't seem like a Finals team but they built a good team with trades and when Luka has fallen flat, Kyrie has been there to pick him up. I always said no star close to Luka in ability would play with him but Kyrie seems to be the perfect peace and the team itself has been structured well I think they would got smoked against Denver cause no one is guarding Jokic and Murray is as clutch as Kyrie. Minnesota folded tho. KAT has played like trash and ANT not too far behind him

I thought Kawhi joining the Clippers would lead to a title, it hasn't led to a Finals appearance. You don't know who's gonna have chemistry till they play.

One of a handful of the best to ever play college ball. Glad he got a ring with Boston, would have been great to see what he could have done if healthy
