I can see them giving it to Paul now... It's 100% gonna happen AND he'll succeed in the cash-in too because Vince is out to remind us who is REALLY in control. f*** everything. Say what? Giving Logan Paul the belt is a reminder that Vince is in control? When you have a mainstream megastar who comes to your company and picks up the sport faster than anyone in history and is consistently a human highlight reel —- you wouldn’t put him in a position to be the face of one of your brands with the title???

I'm guessing Paul wins, cashes in possibly the same night, then loses it back to Seth at SummerSlam. Which sounds horrendous but I can understand it on the level of, "Not like we have anything else for Seth to do at SummerSlam."

Among the poll choices, my top 3 choices would be in order...
Priest Nakamura Knight
Damien Priest I feel may be the most consistent performer the last year among of those names, AND has the look and ring skills to carry as a top guy/world champion.
Nakamura, like others said, really should have had at least 1 world title reign in WWE. While but be fun/fitting to see him get briefcase and title win, I may be afraid that ship may have sailed.
LA Knjght, yes does have the charisma and potential star power of getting MITB and eventual title win, but the main thing holding me back from pulling the trigger for him is he is still "too new" to main roster and needs about another 6-12 months exposure.

I’m hoping this is a red herring and Drew is added to the match and wins instead then cashes in on Rollins on the night.

WWE uploaded this by itself
They've f***ed up royally with LA Knight this year, this needs to be where they rectify it. The dude's way too over to be a low card jobber, and that pop proved it.
Also has the most views outside of main event stuff on the show

WWE has a chance to completely nail both winners because the obvious choices are obvious even to Ray Charles and he is dead.
But for the mens side specifically there is no one else this is LA Knights match to win and quite frankly it aint even close.

I want LA Knight, but as others have said it would feel a bit too soon. I'd have Gunther drop the IC title to Knight after he breaks HTM's record. Are they on different shows? Eh I don't care, it's WWE they'd find a way to make it happen. Let him rise up that way. Increase the mic time for him. That being said he's still my pick, and I'll mark (out bro) if he wins it.
Shinsuke, the King of Autopilot. He should get at least 1 world title run, but man he feels so meh. Or mid as the kids say.
Priest. This one has the most storyline potential.
But honestly I would be fine with ANY of them winning. Even Logan Paul.

Pretty much, Triple-H is pretty high on Logan Paul also so we don't know who gives the green light for these decisions apart from rumors. Though I still think it's a swerve and someone like Priest might win it.

Logan Paul has turned out to be really, really good in the ring and an excellent heel. He's still a complete scumbag and I will never support him being involved. F him. I want LA Knight to win... yyeeaahhhh!!

As some of you may know, the greatest state in the Union — my home of Maryland — has, somehow, never produced a WWE Champion. It has, however, produced a megastar with undeniable kavorka. I got LA Knight. YEAH!

I'm a bit behind in terms of what's been going on in the shows so my pick is based purely on who I'd like to win it and that is L.A. Knight.

I definitely think Paul is the best choice.
I love Knight and voted for him in this poll but he definitely doesn’t seem main event ready yet. I’d continue a slow build with Knight up the card, maybe winning the US title at Summerslam, and with him getting into the main event scene in 2024.

From a storyline point of view, Priest makes the most sense. In terms of being there with the briefcase during Seth v Finn, if Finn wins and they're splitting the Judgment Day, if they split the Judgment Day and you have Priest cash in on Theory and give him a chance on Smackdown to shine on his own (they've said you can cash in on any title on any brand, including NXT).
But I often look at these matches and wonder why someone is in there - think when Swagger won, and when Zack Ryder won the IC title in a ladder match at Wrestlemania - there was no other reason you'd have put those two in those matches at that time. Priest is there to tease Judgment Day stuff, Ricochet and Santos are there for high spots, Butch is there because it's in the UK, Logan Paul is there because he reaches a different audience and gets new eyes on the product. Nakamura's mainly striking offense doesn't really fit a ladder match, but you would have said that about Fit Finlay, and he brought new dimensions to it.
But, based on the booking, and his place on the card, and his wrestling style, I can't seen any other reason why LA Knight is in there other than him being there to win it.

Tough one. Logan Paul could get them excellent press and talk up his history with Roman and Seth, tease bringing in his brother or KSI to go after the tag belts, and even tease going after the NXT title as a "favor" to his pal HBK. La Knight could carry that thing like Edge did for months, rebuilding himself and crafting a story around every one. Santos Escobar has all the tools to be a major player and crossover star if they want him to become one.
However I'd go with Damian Priest. I'd have him be the sort of Orton to Balor's HHH. Give him the case, have Balor grow jealous and kick him out around the Survivor Series, fued through WM, and then pull the trigger on the title win.

It should be Knight, but I have a feeling that WWE are going to give the case to that f***head Paul.

Meltzer thinks it should go to Paul. Priest is a dark horse and I actually like his chances more now that Logan’s in it. L. A knight is where it’s tough, because he’s so f***ing over, this could make him. He could thrive w/o it, but, I dunno if I trust the company to really position him as a top guy without the briefcase.
