Florida had all the momentum in that third period and going into OT.

Rangers played like utter shit the entire game, Panthers outdid them on scoring chances 108-44, but it's the Rangers, so they always play like shit against good teams in the playoffs, yet it feels like they're never punished for it. I get how good Sheshterkin is, but this is another level of awfulness being rewarded.
I've genuinely never seen a team do it like this and get to go on so many deep runs; they're almost always on their heels, drained by the other team, yet all they have to do is throw a few random pucks at the net and whoops! They all go in!
Can't wait to hear how this is a 'heavyweight clash' or an 'epic series' when it's the same garbage the Rangers always do. At some point they're going to win a Cup doing this, and if they do then Sheshterkin has be given the Conn Smyth *and* be named full owner of the Rangers, because good Lord he's the only reason they can do a damn thing.

I've never seen that before. Usually in playoff OT, it's the tightest game imaginable. Instead, the Panthers think they should let Wennberg go to the front of the net with no one within 15 of him in any direction. It's the football equivalent of just not covering a WR running down the sideline.

Haha. We've been somewhat of perennial playoff team since the 05 lockout, and we have 0 cups and only 1 finals appearance to show for it. We get punnished. Not saying this wasn't a case of being lucky it sure as shit was. But we've suffered.

BTW, I don't stand with Trouba. Get that C off his shoulder and give it to Kreider yesterday.

I worked for the vast majority of the game and just saw the Trouba clip. Can't wait to see him get what Cooke got one day; whether that's a giant suspension, an elbow to the head, or getting knocked out by Evander Kane.

Totally get that, but man, soooooooooooo many series over the last x number of years where the Rangers get completely outclassed, yet move on, it's something you don't see anywhere else in the league. Granted, it's a testament to their goalie scouting and development (seriously, going from Hank to Igor, what the hell), but as a dyed in the wool Ranger-hater it's agonizing to watch.

ROBO 🧢🧢🧢
That was one ugly first period but what a great comeback. Miro now has the most goals for a defenseman in Stars playoff history and Wyatt with another one. Good stuff.

What a shock. New York and Florida going to overtime.

What is wrong with the refs, they just decided the game, let the players decide the game. It is ashamed it had to end that way.

Panthers outplayed the Rangers most of the game and they actually won! You love to see it, unless you're a Rangers fan.

If only they stayed out of the box. They got their asses kicked again (not even trying to reverse jynx this Florida should be able to win this series they are much better on the top 6) but Rangers looked like they could have lucked into a win (again) based on how well Igor was playing tonight. All of Florida's goals were virtually on the power play.

The Rangers were lucky it wasn't a penalty shot against them, just as they were lucky that Trouba's attempted homicide the other night wasn't a 5-minute major. Panthers have been the better team all series, but Igor's the difference-maker. Friendly reminder that the PWHL has its winner-take-all championship game 5 tonight between Minnesota and Boston - last game was a 2OT goalie duel, interested to see what happens now. Will probably have it on split-screen on YouTube while flicking between Dynamite and Dallas/Edmonton on cable.

Got two early goals then completely took their foot off the gas. One more period to right the ship.
Hopefully Tanev isn’t too badly hurt.

I'd love to laugh about the 5 unanswered goals but we lost to Dallas and I despise Edmonton so overall no joy was to be found in this game

Both conference finals going at least 6, I'll take it, even if the Rangers potentially winning gives me agita.
Meantime, Minnesota is the inaugural Walter Cup winner in the PWHL; honestly a bit surprising, they weren't the favorites in either series they played in but stepped up huge by the end.
Now, time for those teams to actually get some names!

Should've been Toronto but Spooner blew out her goddamn knee in Game 3 Also, I know she's an invester in the league, but couldn't they have called the MVP trophy the Cassie Campbell Trophy or Hailey Wickenheiser Trophy or something? It's so f***ing weird handing a hockey player the Billie Jean King Trophy
