News and NotesPsychological WarfareLast September Doink the Clown would mysteriously disappear from the WWF. After several months by fans and wrestlers began to wonder what happened to the demented clown? On one hand they were relieved while wishfully hoping that Doink was gone for good and they wouldn't have to worry about his annoying pranks or brutal attacks any more. However in the back of their mind they knew that the diabolical clown had something up his sleeve and was just waiting for the right moment to strike. And strike he did at Saturday Night's Main Event International Incident. In the main event The Undertaker took on arch nemesis Yokozuna in a casket match where he would attempt to literally seal the casket on his rival's career once and for all. Deathly afraid of caskets Yokozuna was a desperate man and pulled out all stops, enlisting the help of his Foreign Fanatic friends, Ludvig Borga and The Quebecers, to aid him in defeating the Deadman. However despite the tremendous odds, Undertaker would remarkably manage to fight off all these men and seemed to be closing in victory after delivering a chokeslam to the 500 plus pound Yokozuna in a herculean feat of strength. However then shockingly Doink came out of the casket. Followed by a second Doink! And then a third Doink! All three Doinks surrounded Undertaker and while the Deadman tried to fight them off, the combination of fatigue and the numbers game proved to be too much as the Doink's hit a triple piledriver before the lead Doink leaped off the top rope and dropped on Undertaker's sternum with a punishing whoopie cushion. The Doink's would roll Undertaker into the casket, with Yokozuna then slamming the lid to score a very tainted victory. Doink and Undertaker are complete opposites. Doink is very colorful and constantly laughing and playing mean pranks. Everything is a joke to Doink. Undertaker on the other hand is dark and always very stoic and serious, never once seen even cracking the slightest of smiles. One thing Undertaker and Doink do have common is they are both masters of mind games and getting into opponents heads and intimidating them. Going into their match at WrestleMania it appears that Doink has the advantage psychologically. Still recovering from the tremendous beating he suffered at Saturday Night's Main Event, Undertaker has attempted to play mind games with Doink by having his Creatures of the Night send reef's down to ringside during Doink's matches or having Paul Bearer wheel down a custom circus themed casket. Undertaker has used these tactics in the past to great success with once seemingly fearless gargantuan foes like Kamala and Yokozuna acting like skittish rats and making a beeline for the exit sign. However with Doink they've had no effect at all. In fact it seems like he finds them humorous as instead he's just laughed hysterically while showing no fear whatsoever. It appears that Undertaker is going to have to find another way to get the better of Doink. If he can't mentally there probably a better chance he will able to do so physically when they go one on one at WrestleMania X. Undertaker will have definite advantage in size and strength, and possibly quickness. Doink on the other hand has the advantage in wrestling technique as the evil clown has shown to be a surprisingly excellent mat wrestler, being able to take down even the biggest of foes and tie them into knots. Doink will also have the advantage in numbers as there likely will be a good chance his doppelgangers will show up. There's never no telling how many Doink's will actually be there. Although of course he will say that it was all just an illusion and a case of double vision or triple vision or quadruple vision. It will definitely be a match to expect the unexpected as there's no telling what will happen when these two strange yet extremely dangerous grapplers collide. Battle of the Big BoysEarthquake has come back with a bang since returning to the WWF in January. After flattening Adam Bomb at Saturday Night's Main Event the Quake has now turned his attention to the WWF's biggest and baddest bully in the over 500 pound Yokozuna. On the February 14th Monday Night Raw Yokozuna would defeat two preliminary wrestlers in a handicap match. However after the match the former sumo champion would continue to further punish his opponents with banzai drops until Earthquake pulled them out of the ring to safety. Earthquake and Yokozuna would then get into a stare down before the latter's advisors, Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette, convinced him to return to the dressing room and fight another day. Later Earthquake would state that he tired of everyone asking him when he's going to face Yokozuna and then challenged him to a match to determine not only who was the biggest and the baddest but also who was the best. It was also later revealed that Yokozuna wasn't the only sumo in the WWF, as Earthquake has a background in the sport as well. Earthquake, real name John Tenta, moved to Japan in the mid 80's to pursue a career in sumo after being recruited by a former yokozuna who met Tenta on a trip to John's home town of Vancouver. Named Kototenzan, Tenta would do extremely well, compiling a undefeated record of 24-0 in his eight month sumo career. However despite his success Tenta didn't care for the lifestyle of sumo and quit the sport to pursue a career in professional wrestling. On the February 21st Raw Cornette would issue a challenge on Yokozuna's behalf to face Earthquake in a sumo match on the following week's Raw to prove who was superior and that if Earthquake was as good as his unblemished record indicated. Earthquake would accept and the match was set. In a battle similar to that of King Kong against Godzilla the two behemoths traded the advantage with neither having a clear cut edge. Despite weighing 468 pounds Earthquake was remarkably outweighed by 100 pounds by Yokozuna. However at 6'7", Quake was the taller of the two which gave him an edge when it came to leverage. Quake would use the leverage to his advantage as he managed to shift around Yoko before knocking him down with a palm thrust to the chest, knocking him down flat on his back and out of the ring. Earthquake stood triumphant in the ring while an embarrassed Yokozuna threw a fit outside of it, defeated at his own game. In an attempt to save face Cornette would issue another challenge for Yoko towards Earthquake. This time for a wrestling match at Wrestlemania X. Cornette said that Yokozuna's sumo loss was a fluke and that in a wrestling match Earthquake stood no chance. Will Yokozuna be able to even the score? Or will Earthquake prove beyond any shadow of doubt that it is he who is the most dominant big man in the WWF? American MadeIt was recently announced that a women's division will be returning soon to the WWF. There will be a eight woman tournament to determine the new champion with the finals being held at Wrestlemania. Of the eight woman announced for the tournament experts are looking at "Made in the USA" Alundra Blayze as the favorite to win the championship. The 5'9" 145 pound All American beauty is the best all around wrestler in the tournament, possessing a unmatched combination of power and athleticism. Other top contenders include the bizarre Luna Vachon and scrappy Heidi Lee Morgan. Vachon who has mainly been managing Bam Bam Bigelow over the past year, is also a very accomplished wrestler. Vachon's intensity and willingness do to do whatever it takes to win will make her a big threat to win the title. Morgan a 123 pounder from Nashville gives up size and power to most of the other women in the tournament but makes up for it with aerial tactics and a gutsy never say die attitude. Who will come out on top and stake their claim as the top women's wrestler in the sport when the tournament concludes at the grand stage of Wrestlemania? I really thought Hogan was going to be the one to drop it to Bret here. "That doesn't work for me, brother!" But Hulk, it's fantasy bookin-"read my contract, dude!" ...shit. That creative control clause was more ironclad than I thought.

News and NotesA Growing CorporationComing out of WrestleMania Ted Dibiase has continued to expand his corporation with the addition of two new members. Irwin R. Schyster has joined the Million Dollar Corporation which comes as no surprise as IRS and Dibiase not too long ago were a very successful tag team that twice held the WWF Tag Team Championship before Dibiase's retirement as a wrestler last September. However the second new member came as a very big surprise. On the April 10th Raw WWF World Champion Bret "Hitman" Hart was scheduled to team up with "Macho Man" Randy Savage to take on Dibiase's tandem of "The Black Hart" Owen Hart and Crush. However before the match the Million Dollar Corporation attacked Savage backstage and injured his arm, leaving him unable to compete. Despite this WWF President Jack Tunney assured Bret that he would find a suitable substitute to team with him in the main event against Owen and Crush. Tunney's choice for a substitute ended up being Earthquake. It appeared that Bret had hit the jackpot with the 468 pound monster as his new partner. However it ended up being the total opposite. Within the opening seconds of the match Earthquake shockingly turned on Bret and leveled him with a clothesline. Bret was then a victim of a three on one assault that concluded after the walking Natural Disaster crushed him with a Earthquake that measured 10 on the Richter Scale. Dibiase always says that every body has a price and it was very obvious that Earthquake had his. At Saturday Night's Main Event Last Ride Bret will be defending his championship against his brother Owen who scored a shocking upset over him at WrestleMania X prior to Bret winning the championship later in the night against Lex Luger. Owen is extremely confident that he will be the next champion now that he's proven can beat Bret. Bret has stated that WrestleMania X was just one match and that Owen won't be able to beat him again. If Bret is able to get past Owen he will then have to deal with Dibiase's Plan B, Earthquake. Dibiase feels if the Black Hart doesn't get him the Earthquake surely will. Time will if that will be the case. American OriginalLex Luger has been known to be an arrogant and self absorbed individual. However recently Luger has shown a new side to himself that not many would've seen coming. At WrestleMania X after being defeated by Bret Hart for the WWF World Championship, Luger would offer a handshake in a sign of good sportsmanship, graciously accepting defeat to the better man that night. Hart was reluctant at first but eventually shook the hand of Luger. Luger's manager, Bobby Heenan, was not pleased with this surprising show of humility and argued with Lex afterwards. While Luger has always been proud of himself recently he's also shown that he's proud to be an American. While he didn't say anything at first Luger was secretly appalled as he listened to the likes of Yokozuna and Ludvig Borga badmouth the great country that they earned a living in. On the April 2nd WWF Superstars as Borga was running down the USA once again during an in ring interview, Luger couldn't stand it any more, storming to the ring and shoving Heenan aside when he tried to stop him. Luger would say that the only thing wrong with America was blood sucking leeches like Borga and that he was going to start cleaning house right there. Borga would feign backing down before taking a cheap shot at Luger. Luger blocked it though and knocked Ludvig out cold with a running forearm. Afterwards in a backstage interview after Heenan questioned why he would do that, Luger fired him and said he didn't need him and he could do everything on his own. On the April 4th Raw Luger now decked out in new patriotic red, white, and blue gear would defeat Barry Horowitz in under two minutes. Later in the broadcast Borga would challenge Luger to match for the following week's Raw with Lex accepting. Borga would then show up for the match with Luger's old manager, Bobby Heenan, in his corner. After exchanging power blows for a few minutes Luger would gain the upper hand but before he could put Borga away he was attacked by Mr. Hughes, who had served as his bodyguard the previous six months. Luger was viciously double teamed by Hughes and Borga and busted wide open in the process. Later Luger would challenge Hughes to a loser leaves town match for the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event PPV. Heenan was eager to have the contract signed on Hughes' behalf. Unfortunately for Heenan he made the mistake of not reading the fine print as in the contract it stated that if Hughes lost not only would he have to leave but Heenan would also be gone from the WWF as well. Luger showed that he has smarts to go with all of his muscle, pulling a fast one on the Brain and proving that he doesn't need him to think for him. On May 7th Luger will have a chance to further prove he can stand on his two feet by ridding the WWF of his former manager and bodyguard once and for all. Jaded JimThe Webster Dictionary describes an underachiever as one who fails to attain a predicted level of achievement or does not do as well expected. Of all the superstars in the WWF this description would probably best describe Jim Powers. Joining the WWF all the way back in 1985 Powers was looked as someone with the potential to be a future top star. A great all around athlete with a tremendous physique, Powers was looked at as someone who would be a future champion in no time. Well nearly a decade later and Powers still hasn't become a champion. Or even come close to it for that matter. Despite all of his physical gifts Powers has spent the majority of his career as a preliminary level wrestler. Many fans have wondered why someone who seems to have so much going for him like Powers have so little success despite being around for so long? WWF World Champion Bret "Hitman" Hart who joined the WWF around the same time as Powers feels that the lack of success has mainly do with not making the effort to hone and improve and his wrestling skills and just expecting his power and God given athletic ability to make things happen for him. The 1-2-3 Kid is the opposite of Powers. Not even weighing 200 pounds, The Kid doesn't have a great muscular physique and is far from the archetype WWF wrestler. However the Kid has overachieved. Despite his small stature the Kid has managed to achieve superstardom in the WWF in a very short time; defeating top stars such as Razor Ramon, Ted Dibiase, and Shawn Michaels and becoming a champion by winning the WWF Tag Team Championship with Marty Jannetty. Powers has always resented and been jealous the Kid. Powers couldn't understand why someone like him could struggle so mightily to get ahead while some skinny 190 pound Kid could accomplish more in his first year then he could in nearly ten. At WrestleMania X Powers animosity towards the Kid would grow even more when he eliminated him from the 30 Man Battle Royal. After this Powers had finally decided that he had enough. Being a nice guy and playing by the rules hadn't ever done anything for him and it was time for a change. On the March 28th Raw Powers teamed with Russ Greenberg to take on the Heavenly Bodies. Powers would start the match and held his own against the Bodies until tagging Greenberg. The less experienced Greenberg was quickly overwhelmed and eventually pinned after a moonsault from Del Rey. After the match Powers would help Greenberg up to his feet before leveling him with a clothesline and then nearly driving him through the mat with a powerslam. Fans were shocked by this sudden aggressive behavior from the long time fan favorite. On the April 2nd Superstars Powers would team up with PJ Walker against Well Dunn with the same thing happening. Powers would get the better of Well Dunn but Walker lost the advantage and was pinned. Afterwards Powers would once again attack and powerslam his partner for letting him down. When asked afterwards by WWF interviewer Todd Pettengill about this sudden change of behavior, Powers would say that he was sick and tired of being held down and having to carry partners who couldn't hold up their end and that he was going to start taking matters into his own hands to start getting ahead. On the April 9th Superstars the 1-2-3 Kid and Marty Jannetty were scheduled to get their rematch against WWF Tag Team Champions The Quebecers. However Jannetty couldn't make the event due to travel issues leaving the Kid without a partner. Powers would volunteer to take the Kid's place. The Kid was leery of this offer after what happened at WrestleMania X and how Powers had treated his last few tag team partners the previous few weeks, but he needed a partner fast so the Kid reluctantly agreed. During the match Powers would try to hog the glory, wrestling the whole match by himself and refusing to tag the Kid. Powers to his credit would fare well against The Quebecers for a while but eventually the champions would take over on him with double team moves with the Kid constantly having to save his partner from being pinned. Eventually Pierre would accidentally knock Powers into his own corner where the Kid tagged himself into the match. The Quebecers seemed to have no answer for the Kid who leveled both of them with a flurry of dropkicks and spin kicks. The Kid then scaled the top rope to finish them off when Powers angry that the Kid had tagged himself in, pushed him off where he crashed down to the mat and was pinned. Afterwards Powers would then viciously attack the Kid and powerslam him. Over the last month Powers has been wrestling with a new rule breaking style and has been racking up wins, albeit against lesser competition. At Saturday Night's Main Event the new attitude Powers will be face stiffer competition when he goes against the 1-2-3 Kid who is looking to get revenge for Powers betraying him. Will the so called new and improved Jim Powers prove he's for real? Or will he continue to mire in mediocrity after going down for a count of 1-2-3? Headshrinkers: Eyeing the GoldWhen The Quebecers defeated The Steiner Brothers to win the WWF Tag Team Championship under duvious circumstances in the Province of Quebec Rules match last September, many just thought the Steiners would quickly win them back and The Quebecers would just quietly fade away. However other then a brief hiccup against the team of 1-2-3 Kid and Marty Jannetty, The Quebecers have dominated the tag team scene over the last eight months. Despite their questionable tactics to their credit they've also been fighting champions as they've defeated nearly all the teams in the WWF. However there is one team who they haven't beat. Captain Lou Albano recently returned to the WWF. Known as The Guiding Light, Albano managed fifteen different tag teams to the WWF Tag Team Championship. During an interview on Monday Night Raw The Quebecers and their manager Johnny Polo were bragging about defeating all the tag teams in the WWF and that there was no team that could beat them. Albano would then interrupt and said that he had found a team that could beat The Quebecers and brought out The Headshrinkers. Albano has a history of managing Samoan tag teams as he also managed The Headshrinkers predecessors, The Wild Samoans, to the championship. The Wild Samoans were comprised of Sika and Afa, who is the current manager of The Headshrinkers. With their toughness and unpredictability and now having Albano in their corner along with Afa, The Headshrinkers will pose the greatest threat to The Quebecers then any other team has during their reign. At Saturday Night's Main Event The Headshrinkers will have a chance to follow in the Wild Samoans footsteps when they take on The Quebecers for the WWF Tag Team Championship. DeparturesHulk Hogan, Brutus Beefcake, and Jim Duggan are all no longer with the WWF. Rankings SinglesBret "Hitman" Hart: WWF World Champion(2) 234, Calgary, Alberta 1. News and NotesDeadly GamesIt was believed that the rivalry between The Undertaker and Doink would come to a conclusion at WrestleMania X. However if anything it had really just begun. On the March 28th Raw The Undertaker took on Owen Hart in the main event. During the bout two Doink's would attack and kidnap Paul Bearer. Undertaker would give pursuit and lost the match on a count out. Unfortunately for Undertaker the Doink's would load Bearer into a clown car and speed off before he was able to stop them. On the following week's Raw The Undertaker would once again be in action against Kwang The Ninja. Without the urn and Paul Bearer, Undertaker wasn't as sharp as usual but still managed to defeat the dangerous martial arts expert after a chokeslam. After the match Doink would appear on the video wall and taunt Undertaker before revealing he was holding Bearer at his nearby funhouse. The following week footage show of Undertaker arriving at the funhouse. Undertaker would fight his way through various traps and Doink doppelganger's to rescue Bearer. However after doing so he was ambushed by the lead Doink who hit him in the back of the head with a giant mallet. The following week Doink would hold a mock funeral for Undertaker with six Doink doppelganger's serving as pallbearers to carry Undertaker's coffin out while Paul Bearer unwillingly was also on hand. Paul Bearer would read Undertaker's eulogy while Doink laughed at him and squirted water on him from the flower on his suit. However then to Doink's shock the coffin would open with Undertaker then sitting up out of it. Undertaker would destroy all the doppelganger's while the lead Doink escaped, watching from the aisle way in disbelief as all of his goons were demolished. The Undertaker is alive and well and will not rest until Doink rest's in peace. At Saturday Night's Main Event Last Ride he will have a chance to make sure Doink does just that when he faces him in a Rest In Peace match where there will be no disqualification or count out. The Truck Stops HereNot much was known about Diesel when he first entered the WWF. In his first year in the federation the towering seven footer seemed content lurking in the shadows as Shawn Michaels bodyguard. However since the dawning of the new year Diesel has stepped into the spotlight in a major way. The 1994 Royal Rumble was a big coming out party for the big man as he showed what a force he was capable of being when he eliminated six consecutive men and dominated the first half of the match. At WrestleMania X the street brawler would once again thrive in a battle royal environment when he won the 30 man battle over the top rope battle royal. Over the last year Diesel has also improved tremendously in skill going from strictly a brawler to a more complete well rounded wrestler. As a result he's gone from merely a bodyguard to now being a top contender. Diesel, real name Kevin Nash, has always been a great athlete. As a youth Nash was a talented basketball player and coming out of high school was the second most recruited player coming out of Michigan behind only Los Angles Laker legend Magic Johnson. Nash would play collage ball at the University of Tennessee where he was the starting center for three years. However even back then Nash had a bad attitude as he was kicked off the team his junior season after punching his own coach. Nash would play professionally in Europe before his career was ended due to a knee injury. With his NBA aspirations dashed Nash would become a truck driver where he was known for often getting into truck stop scraps. Nash would then return home to Detroit where he would work as a bouncer at various clubs. Little did he know his fortunes would soon change. One night Shawn Michaels visited a establishment Nash was working at after a wrestling event. Nash's size and aggressiveness caught the eye of Michaels who was looking for a bodyguard. Nash jumped at the opportunity as beating people up and getting paid handsomely to do it sounded great to him. Diesel has always been grateful to Michaels as a result and has a fierce sense of loyalty to him, saying that he owes every thing to him. With Michaels sidelined with injuries suffered in his ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon at WrestleMania X, he has now passed the baton to his bodyguard as Diesel who will challenge Ramon for the title at Saturday Night's Main Event Last Ride. Will Diesel avenge Michaels by doing what his boss couldn't do by beating Ramon? Or is he just walking on a Razor's Edge?

Well, this becomes a less predictable King of the Ring now, with Owen not involved. My early pick for the winner is Luger going over Borga in the final.
