News and NotesBritish Bulldog: Back and Looking to Sink his Teeth into the Million Dollar CorporationTwo years ago "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith had the crowning moment of his career when he defeated his brother in law Bret "Hitman" Hart for the Intercontinental Championship in front of 80,000 people in his home country at Wembley Stadium in London, England. However just three months later the Bulldog left the WWF after losing the championship to Shawn Michaels when he received a big offer to go work for another promotion. While away another brother in law, Owen, would turn his back on his own family when he betrayed Bret and sold out to Ted Dibiase. Since he wasn't in the WWF at the time it was unknown where Davey Boy stood in the situation. At Saturday Night's Main Event Last Ride Bret would defend his WWF World Championship against Owen in a steel cage match. Davey Boy along with the rest of the Hart Family was in attendance for the event. Bret would win the match but was then attacked afterwards by Owen's Million Dollar Corporation stablemate, Earthquake. Owen and Earthquake would throw Bret back into the cage and then follow him in with Quake then locking the cage door so nobody could come in to help Bret. Owen and Quake would deliver a vicious beating to Bret, ramming him repeatedly into the cage. Davey Boy and Bret's brothers would try to climb over to help but were stopped by either Owen or Quake who would knock them off the cage. Eventually Davey Boy would be able to fight through Owen and get into the cage. Bulldog would then press Owen over his head before launching like a human javelin into the cage. Then Bulldog would turn his attention to Earthquake, piking up the over 400 plus pounder and bodyslamming him. The Million Dollar Corporation goons would flee the cage as Bulldog stood tall. Bulldog has made it clear where he stands in the Hart Family feud and at King of the Ring will team up with Bret to take on Owen and Earthquake in a tag team grudge match. Jesus Christ SuperstarIt feels like nobody can trusted in the WWF these days. Another example of this happened recently when Scott Steiner turned on his own brother Rick. Dissension first surfaced between The Steiner Brothers at WrestleMania X in the 30 man battle royal. After the Steiners teamed up to eliminated Adam Bomb, Scott would then dump out Rick from behind when he wasn't looking. While there was nothing legally wrong with what Scott did as battle royals are every man for himself, it seemed like a cheap move to do to his own brother. In the weeks following Mania Scott would start becoming a glory hound in the Steiners tag matches, tagging himself into the match to score winning pinfalls for the team or sometimes not even tagging Rick in at all. Rick would roll with it at first but was soon beginning to tire of his younger brothers antics. On the May 23rd Raw the Steiners were guests of Jerry Lawler's King's Court in which Scott apologized for how he had been acting and to make it up to his brother had a match signed against the Heavenly Bodies for the following week where he promised that he would let Rick start the match and stay out of the way unless the Dog Faced Gremlin really needed his help. At the beginning of the match it looked Scott was true to his word as Rick started the match. However after Rick had cleared both Heavenly Bodies out of the ring he was shockingly clotheslined by his own brother. Scott would then give Rick a double underhook powerbomb and then the Frankensteiner with Tom Prichard then making the cover for the win. Afterwards Scott then shook hands and hugged the Bodies manager, Jim Cornette. The whole thing had been a set up all along. Scott has gone through quite a transformation since then as he's cut his hair short and dyed it blonde and has gone from a humble and straight laced young man to a cocky jive talking blowhard who is always bragging about his "peaks and freaks" with his new manager, Cornette, constantly telling him how great he is to feed his ego even more. Now calling himself "Superstar" Scott Steiner, the younger Steiner Brother says it's only a matter of time before he's the top man in the WWF. However one man who will looking to put a halt to those aspirations is his brother Rick who is looking to make the Superstar a falling star. At the King of the Ring both Rick and Scott will have a chance to prove who the better Steiner Brother is when face each other one on one. Man on a MissionWith his tag team partner Mo sidelined with a knee injury thanks to Owen Hart and Earthquake, Mabel has now been forced into the single ranks. The 500 pounder hasn't looked to have much trouble adjusting from tag team to singles competition as he has qualified for the upcoming King of the Ring tournament after a very impressive victory over Kwang. In the first round Mabel for the first time in his career will be wrestling a man even bigger then him in the 568 pound Yokozuna. Hopefully the ring will be reinforced when these two superheavyweights collide. Taker SidelinedDuring his career The Undertaker has been known for his ability to take tons of punishment and yet keep coming back. However for the first time in his career The Undertaker has been sidelined with an injury. After he lost to Yokozuna in a casket match at the February Saturday Night's Main Event PPV when six other men interfered and attacked him, Undertaker said that he had a hit list and that he would bury all of the men involved. First on his list was Doink and all of his doppelgangers. Although it took him several months, Undertaker would eventually succeed in destroying the evil clown and his clones. Next up was The Quebecers. On the May 9th Raw Undertaker would dispatch Pierre in a singles match while also tombstoning his tag partner Jacques when he tried to interfere and his manager Johnny Polo after the match. That left only Ludvig Borga and Yokozuna as the only two men left on the list. On the May 14th Superstars the grave reaper would come for Borga. However only a few minutes into the match Undertaker was a victim of a two on one attack from Borga and an interfering Yokozuna. As Borga held the dead man down, Yokozuna would repeatedly deliver leg drops with all of his 568 pounds behind it, breaking Undertaker's orbital bone in process. While no timetable has been given for Undertaker's return it should be soon given the man from the darkside's recuperative powers. Although Yokozuna and Borga have been able to "delay the inevitable" by sidelining Undertaker, they've likely just dug themselves an even bigger grave. Bit of a water and oil thing happening here by trying to do Big Poppa Pump in (what I assume is still meant to be) the squeaky-clean New Generation. Obviously he couldn't be doing the same promos. Don't really see what the issue would be of him having the same look and general character of being a cocky musclehead heel. The character would be more like a modern "Superstar" Billy Graham.

Sometimes, you gotta make changes like this. Plus, I believe a Scott singles push was something thrown around in 1994, before they decided to go back to Japan.

this point in history reminds of just how idle HBK was in ring post mania X in 94. They really used him more to build up Diesel as an in-ring competitor.

There’s a four-month window after WrestleMania X where he just doesn’t wrestle, only appearing on TV to second Diesel and do the Heartbreak Hotel interview segment.

I thought the Starrcade card you did looked way better then the show they actually did with the World Cup best of seven thing. Granted I have the advantage of it being fantasy and doing what I want where I can ignore injuries and departures that happened IRL but 93 through 95 are years that I feel could've been a lot better then what they were and therefore I went more outside the box. I remember in one of the Steiners final matches before they left Vince mentioning on commentary how there was word that they didn't get along so it was maybe something they were thinking about.

Ooh, you threw a curveball at me with Luger vs. Borga in the quarterfinals. Now, I'm thinking maybe Crush, for some reason? But Luger's still my official pick.

News and NotesTatanka: Out To Make IRS Pay
On the May 9th Raw a ceremony was held where Tatanka was presented with a sacred headdress by Chief Ray Little Turtle of the Lumbee Indian Tribe. Also on hand were legendary Native American wrestlers Chief Wahoo McDaniel and Chief Jay Strongbow. With tears in his eyes Tatanka would talk about always respecting the headdress since he was a little kid and how much it meant to him. Irwin R. Schyster would be quick to point out to Tatanka that he owed a gift tax for the headdress and that he was going to have to pay every cent he owed. On the May 14th Superstars as Tatanka was making his way backstage after defeating The Brooklyn Brawler he was confronted by IRS who gave him a tax form and ordered him to fill it out and pay him everything he owes. Instead Tatanka dropped Irwin with a chop and then ripped the form up. On the May 28th Superstars Tatanka and IRS would face off in a King of the Ring Qualifying Match. Tatanka would score the victory when he trapped IRS in a sunset flip pinning combination after the referee had caught Irwin illegally using the ropes to try to pin Tatanka. Unfortunately for Tatanka he was defeated in the Quarterfinals of the King of the Ring by IRS's Million Dollar Corporation stablemate, Crush, after Irwin interfered and hit him on the back of the head with his briefcase. As disappointing as failing to win the King of the Ring was for Tatanka, it would pale in comparison to the humiliation he would have to endure thanks to IRS on the June 25th Superstars. As Tatanka was wrestling Kwang, IRS and his manager "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase would come down to ringside. Tatanka would go after IRS when he saw him making a move for his headdress but was stopped by Kwang who sprayed him in the eyes with the green mist to draw a disqualification. IRS would quickly pounce, pummeling the blinded Tatanka and tying him in the ropes. Tatanka would then have to helplessly watch as IRS ripped the headdress up. Chief Jay Strongbow would come down to the ring and would valiantly fight back against IRS and Dibiase, laying into both with chops. However IRS would knock the Chief down with a punch, with Tatanka then having to watch a man who had been a mentor to him suffer a heinous two on one beating. On the July 9th Superstars IRS would defeat Mark Thomas with his new STF submission finisher that he refers to as The Penalty. However IRS would refuse to relinquish the hold afterwards. Tatanka would save the youngster as he rushed the ring with a strap that he used to get a few good whips on IRS with before he fled the ring. At Saturday Night's Main Event Wrestlefest Tatanka will have a chance to make IRS feel all the pain he's made him endure when they face off in an Indian Strap Match in which both men will be tied together by the wrist with a strap and the only way to win is to drag your opponent around the ring and touch all four corners. Bombs AwayAdam Bomb is a young wrestler who has all the tools to be a top star in the WWF. Size, strength, speed, agility. Bomb has it all. However after a year in the WWF Bomb hasn't been able to fulfill all of the potential he has. Perhaps the reason for this is bad management. Originally managed by Johnny Polo, Bomb quickly parted ways with Polo after only five months. Polo it seemed didn't realize the upside of Bomb as he instead was more interested in his tag team of The Quebecers after they joined his stable. Bomb would then take on Harvey Wippleman as his new manager. However Bomb would have the same problems with Wippleman that he did with Polo as Harvey would become more enamored with the new shiny toy in his camp, in this case Kwang. On the May 15th Wrestling Challenge Wippleman would team up his two men against 1-2-3 Kid and Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly. Kwang would lift Holly in an airplane spin but ended up accidentally hitting his own partner when Spark Plugg's legs struck Bomb as he was on the apron. While grabbing the ropes to prevent himself from falling, Bomb would pull himself forward and accidentally hit Kwang who was then rolled up and pinned by Holly. After the match Bomb and Kwang would argue and push each other with Wippleman taking the side of Kwang, giving the riot act to Bomb who eventually left in disgust. Despite the loss Bomb would have a golden opportunity the following week when he took on the 1-2-3 Kid in a King of the Ring Qualifying Match. Outweighing the Kid by 100 pounds Bomb was a heavy favorite going into the match. After delivering a punishing side slam it looked like victory was imminent for Bomb. Then suddenly Kwang appeared and instructed Bomb to hold Kid so he could spray him with his green mist. Bomb didn't understand the reason for this as he had the match well in hand but reluctantly obliged. It turned out Bomb's reluctance was justified as the Kid broke free of his grasp and Kwang accidentally misted Bomb instead. The Kid would then roll up the blinded Bomb to score the upset win. Afterwards an angry Bomb would spend the rest of the show angrily trying to find Kwang in the backstage area. After this match Bomb would fire Wippleman as his manager and is now deciding to go it alone. Now that he's no longer under Wippleman's thumb, Bomb has become a fan favorite and now refers to his growing legion of fans as the Bomb Squad. Bomb will need all the support from his fans that he can get when he takes on Kwang in a grudge match at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event Wrestlefest PPV. Taking Out The TrashDuke "The Dumpster" Droese has completed his route to the WWF. The 6'6" 305 pounder has quickly become a popular wrestler in the WWF as his blue collar mentality has made him a relatable figure to a lot of the fans. However there's one man who isn't thrilled with Droese's arrival. That man being "The Helsinki Hellraiser" Ludvig Borga. Hailing from the extremely environmentally friendly country of Finland, Borga says that Droese is the perfect embodiment of America, a filthy garbage truck driver who is happy to be throwing away trash of "disgusting American's" every day. Borga also claimed that he was going to defeat another WWF hero by sending the trash man to the compactor. On the June 25th Superstars Droese scored an impressive victory over Barry Horowitz with his finishing move the trash compactor, a devasting tilt-a-whirl powerslam. During the match Borga would make his way down to the ring and afterwards would grab the microphone and insult Droese, telling him he smells like trash and looks like garbage. Droese would respond by taking his trash can and dumping the garbage from it onto Borga with several officials having to come out and hold back the irate Finn from entering the ring. Ironically on the July 4th Raw Borga would exact revenge when he administered a brutal beating on Droese after The Dumpster's match, ambushing him from behind and then repeatedly smashing him over the head with his own trash can. Droese will have a chance for revenge of his own when he goes one on one with Borga at Saturday Night's Main Event Wrestlefest where he plans on disposing of the Hellraiser once and for all. News and NotesDouble J: Can He Walk The Talk?"Double J" Jeff Jarrett is man who certainly isn't lacking in confidence. Claiming to be the world's greatest singer, entertainer, and wrestler; Jarrett hasn't won many fans over with his boastful ways. However so far the Nashville native has been able to back it up as he's displayed tremendous wrestling skill while compiling an impressive record since arriving in the WWF late last year. Jarrett knows though to be one of the top players in the WWF that he has to beat the best. This is perhaps the reason why he's been constantly trying to pick fights with "Macho Man" Randy Savage. A former two time WWF World Champion, Savage is one of all the time great superstars in the WWF. However for the last several months Savage has been spending most of his time behind a commentary desk while he recuperates from injuries. During matches Jarrett has constantly been taunting Savage while calling him a has-been who can't hang with the stars of the new generation and is hiding behind the commentary table. These taunts would come back to haunt Jarrett when he faced Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly on the August 1st Raw. During the bout Jarrett constantly jawed with Savage and knocked his cowboy hat off to goad him. Later Jarrett would attempt to pin Holly with his feet on the ropes but Savage would shove them off to stop the illegal pin attempt. Savage would then avoid a Jarrett punch and nail Double J with a right of his own. Holly then rolled up the stunned Jarrett for the upset win. Afterwards an irate Jarrett would challenge Savage to match at Summerslam with the Macho Man quickly accepting. Can the brash newcomer Double J prove he's as great as he's says by beating a living legend? Or will the wily veteran Savage have some tricks up his sleeve? Big Bucks for Bam BamAfter walking out on his "main squeeze" Luna Vachon, Bam Bam Bigelow has been the latest wrestler to sell out to "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase and join his Million Dollar Corporation. Dibiase has assembled a team of all stars with Bigelow joining a group that includes Crush, Owen Hart, Irwin R. Schyster, and Earthquake. The alliance has already paid dividends for Bigelow as coming up at Summerslam he will get a championship opportunity when he teams with Crush to take on The Headshrinkers for the WWF Tag Team Championship. Bigelow and Crush receiving a championship opportunity seems rather questionable considering they've never teamed before. However the Headshrinkers defeating pretty much all the top contending tag teams might have played a part in the decision in that there was simply no other teams left and Bigelow and Crush have both been very effective in the single ranks despite never teaming before. Will the Headshrinkers turn back another challenger? Or will Dibiase's Million Dollar Tag Team hit pay dirt? Doink: Clowns The KingOn the July 11th Raw the current manager of WWF Tag Team Champions, Captain Lou Albano, was a guest of Jerry "The King" Lawler's King's Court. Lawler scoffed at Albano calling himself the guiding light stating that the only reason the Captain has managed so many Tag Team Champions is because he becomes their manager right when they are about get a title shot. Lawler then said that he could beat the Headshrinkers with the right tag team partner. Albano would call Lawler's bluff by issuing a challenge on his Headshrinkers behalf against Lawler and any partner of his choice to a non title match. After some hesitation Lawler accepted under the condition that after he and his partner won that they would get a Tag Team Title shot. Lawler's would reveal his tag team partner to be his "Court Jester" Doink The Clown. Doink would wrestle the majority of the match for his team with the cowardly King spending most of the match on the apron. Eventually Doink would tire of Lawler's cowardice and after the King refused to tag in, Doink forced a tag and threw Lawler into the ring. The Headshrinkers would double up on Lawler and put him away with the Samoan Splash off the top rope while Doink watched and laughed. On the August 1st Raw Lawler would have Doink has his guest on The King's Courth. Lawler would say that Doink wasn't as funny as he said he was and that he was a terrible court jester and tag team partner. Doink would respond by dumping a bucket of water on The King's head to the amusement of the fans. Doink has become a big fan favorite as they have got a kick out his pranks and jokes. Especially now that wrestlers they don't like such as Lawler are the recipient of them. However it could be The King who laughs last as he will attempt to get Doink to "know his place" when they go one on one at Summerslam. Don't Mess With The BullIt's been a rough last few months for Luna Vachon. Not only has she failed on several occasions to rest the WWF Women's Championship from Alundra Blayze but her beau Bam Bam Bigelow has now left her. Vachon blames Blayze for her relationship with Bigelow falling apart and has plotted to get her revenge. Since she couldn't get the job done herself Vachon has brought in Bull Nakano from Japan to do the job for her. Weighing around 200 pounds Bull has about a 60 pound weight advantage over the champion. In her few matches so far Nakano has demonstrated that she's without a doubt the strongest wrestler in the women's division physically. Even more so then Blayze who is no slouch in the power department. However on top of her strength Nakano is also very technically sound and has great agility as well. She can beat an opponent in so many ways. However Nakano's favorite move is the top rope legdrop where she leaps off the top rope and crashes down on a fallen opponent with all of her 200 pounds onto the throat and chest. If Blayze falls victim to this there's a very good chance her reign has champion will come to an end when she defends her title against Nakano at Summerslam. News and NotesOn The Take TunneySince becoming the president of the WWF Jack Tunney had always been regarded as fair and just. However recently it was revealed that greed has got the better of Tunney and that the once esteemed president isn't as upstanding as he's always appeared. On the September 4th Monday Night Raw WWF World Champion Bret "Hitman" Hart defended his championship once again against his brother Owen who "earned" the title shot after defeating "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith at Summerslam after help from corrupt referee Danny Davis who has been clearly on the payroll of Ted Dibiase and his Million Dollar Corporation for several months with him showing partiality to Corporation members in matches. Despite this Davis was also assigned to referee the title match between Bret and Owen. Davis was banned as a referee "for life" by Tunney in 1987 for crooked officiating. As it turns out "for life" in actuality was just two years as after still allowing employment for Davis as a wrestler during that span Tunney allowed "Dangerous" Danny to referee again on "probationary status" once the controversy of his questionable refereeing had blown over. Eventually Bret would apply the sharpshooter on Owen but Davis would refuse to call for the bell despite the fact that Owen could audibly heard saying he gave up. Bret would let go of the hold to confront Davis but as he was doing so Owen would sneak up from behind him and roll him up with Davis delivering an extremely fast count to give Owen the WWF World Championship. On the following week's Raw Tunney was interviewed in the ring by Vince McMahon about what had happened last week and what he was planning doing about it. Bret Hart would then come to the ring and expose Tunney as the fraud that he is. Bret first brought up how back in April when he needed a tag team partner against the Corporation when his original partner Randy Savage couldn't compete due to injury, Tunney substituted in Earthquake who then promptly double crossed Bret to join the Corporation. Then there was Danny Davis being assigned the match between Bret and Earthquake in July and trying to unfairly cost Bret of the title. Then Crush and Bam Bam Bigelow being granted a WWF Tag Team Championship opportunity despite never having one match together as a tag team. And then of course Davis costing Bret the title to Owen with blatant bias officiating. Bret would continue to badger Tunney who had no answers until the Million Dollar Corporation then all rushed the ring and attacked Bret in a brutal five on one beatdown. With the WWF World Championship in his Corporation and the President of the company in his back pocket, Ted Dibiase now ruled the WWF. Or so he thought. A few weeks later it was revealed that the WWF Board of Directors were appointing Gorilla Monsoon as Co President due to Tunney's questionable decision making. As his first act as Co President Gorilla Monsoon would strip Owen Hart of the WWF World Championship with the vacant title being held up in a Ladder Match between Owen and Bret at Saturday Night's Main Event Crossfire. Will Gorilla's decision finally be able to right all the wrongs that have occurred the last several months? Or will Dibiase have yet another trick up his sleeve? East Versus WestAt Summerslam "Made in the USA" Alundra Blayze successfully defended her WWF Women's Championship against Bull Nakano. However the match wasn't without controversy as Nakano originally pinned the champion after interference from Luna Vachon after the original referee had been knocked out. However a second referee would wave this decision off and force Vachon to return the dressing. Blayze would then go onto defeat Nakano after executing her bridge back suplex that she calls the Patriot Plex. Nakano was outraged afterwards, saying that she won the match fair and square and accusing the WWF of bias officiating to benefit their All American golden girl champion. Tired of Nakano's excuses Blayze agreed to a championship rematch on September 10th in Kawasaki, Japan. Blayze figured that after beating Nakano in her own backyard that there would be no excuses for the challenger. However this would prove to be a mistake for the champion. In Japan the referee's give much more leeway to the wrestlers when it comes to rule breaking and are not as quick to rule disqualifications as they are in the United States. This was apparent as soon as the match started when Nakano attacked Blayze with nunchucks, using them to batter Blayze in the midsection and across her back to put the champion at a big disadvantage right out of the gates. Blayze would valiantly mount a comeback but was too weakened from the initial onslaught. Nakano would eventually hit her top rope legdrop to win the championship. It's now tied one win apiece in the Blayze and Nakano rivalry. Who will win the rubber match when these two amazing athletes face off in the rubber match? Bitter BobSince returning to the WWF nearly two years ago Bob Backlund has been a fish out of water as a lot had changed since he had last been in the federation in the eight years prior. Dingy arenas have been replaced by well lit sold out ones. All the wrestlers now come out to entrance music when only a few did in 1984. No nonsense wrestlers in plain trunks like Backlund are now a minority instead of a majority with most of the athletes being colorful characters with flashy outfits. As a result a lot of the fans, particularly the younger ones, had a tough time taking to Backlund, finding him to be "dull" and "boring". As far as his win-loss record goes Backlund's results had been mixed. At the 1993 Royal Rumble the former WWF World Champion broke the longevity record by impressively managing to last over an hour in the match. Then at WrestleMania IX Backlund had the biggest match of his comeback when he took on Razor Ramon. Cool, colorful, and cocky Ramon was the antithesis of the white bread Backlund. As he would always do Backlund offered Ramon a handshake at the beginning of the match. Instead Ramon would throw his signature toothpick in Backlund's face as the crowd cheered. A befuddled look came across Backlund's face. How could the fans cheer this arrogant bully over him? Adding insult to injury Backlund would lose the match in only about four minutes when Ramon utilized a wrestling move, an inside cradle, to pin the former All American Collegiate wrestler. This was very tough pill to swallow for Backlund. Not only were these younger New Generation athletes cooler and more hip then Bob but they could also beat him fairly on sheer ability as well. Over the following year Backlund would continue to get mixed reactions from crowds wherever he went as instead were much more interested in wrestlers like Bret Hart, The Undertaker, and even Razor Ramon who had changed his ways and became a fan favorite shortly after his WrestleMania IX match with Backlund. Perhaps due to being bothered by the lack of crowd support Backlund struggled with top competition as he continued to grow more frustrated. On the August 6th Superstars Backlund was the guest of Shawn Michaels Heartbreak Hotel interview segment. After being insulted by Michaels for being old and being a square the usual humble and mild mannered Backlund would go into a tirade about the younger generation having no respect and that he was the last real athlete and that all the wrestlers now are a bunch of muscleheads who are all style and no substance and don't know a wristlock from a wristwatch while specifically mentioning Lex Luger. Luger would come out to confront Backlund and said he could prove Backlund wrong by facing him in a match the following week. On the August 13th Superstars Luger and Backlund would face off in what was hyped as a Old Generation versus New Generation match. Luger would prove to Backlund that he wasn't just all sizzle as he outwrestled Bob and pinned him with a backslide. Backlund couldn't believe that he could be outwrestled and pinned by someone he viewed as just a bodybuilder with no wrestling ability. Afterwards Luger would offer a handshake in good sportsmanship. Backlund would shake Luger's hand before then proceeding to snap as he attacked Luger from behind and put him in a crossface chicken wing while screaming hysterically. After a bunch of officials finally managed to pry Backlund off Luger, Bob just stood there staring at his hands in apparent shock. Since then Backlund has become a changed man as it seems like he's completely lost his mind, assaulting various wrestlers and officials with the crossface chicken wing while ranting and raving about teaching the New Generation a lesson. Nobody seems to know what has come over this once mild mannered man. However it is becoming well known that this unstable individual that's a prisoner of his glory years is quickly becoming the most dangerous man in the WWF.
