News and NotesMillion Dollar RebuffShortly after WrestleMania X Lex Luger changed his ways going from a Narcissistic villain to an American Original fan favorite. Many fans questioned if the new Lex Luger was sincere or if it was all just an act. With his recent rebuff of Ted Dibiase to join his Million Dollar Corporation there should no longer be any question of Luger's character. Dibiase has had his eyes on Luger for quite some time, looking at the former WWF World Champion as the man to be the centerpiece for his Million Dollar Corporation and the last piece of the puzzle to help him in his mission of taking over the World Wrestling Federation. Shortly after Summerslam Dibiase began appearing during Luger matches, watching in the aisle way before eventually telling Luger to name his price. Later Luger would admit that he had been in talks with Dibiase and was proposed a very lucrative offer. On the September 23rd Superstars Dibiase told Luger that the time was up and that he had until the end of the one hour broadcast to make his decision while also telling Luger that his decision better be the right one. At the end of the broadcast Dibiase, with IRS in tow, would come to the ring to get his answer. Luger would then come out and tell Dibiase that he didn't need sixty minutes or even sixty seconds to make his decision before popping the Million Dollar Man in the face with a right hand. Luger would then level IRS with a flying forearm before wisely fleeing when the rest of the Million Dollar Corporation rushed the ring. An embarrassed and enraged Dibiase would respond by putting a $50,000 bounty on Luger's head for any one who could injure the American Original and put him out of wrestling. However not wanting to risk having one of his regular Corporation members getting potentially injured themselves by Luger, Dibiase has hired Bob Backlund, or Mr. Bob Backlund as he now wants to be referred to, as basically a mercenary to take Luger out. Backlund recently having issues with Luger and also being crazy enough to do whatever it takes to get the job done made him an easy choice for Dibiase. Another reason also has to be the crossface chicken wing which has quickly become the most feared move in the WWF with Luger feeling the wrath of it once before. At Saturday Night's Main Event Crossfire Luger will face Backlund in a bounty match. It will be an interesting match in that in the case of both competitors winning the bout might not be the primary objective. Backlund likely will be more concerned about trying injure Luger at all costs and collect the bounty. With Luger while he will surely be trying to win it will also be a battle of survival as he tries to avoid being maimed by a crazed maniac who will stop at nothing to make sure he's out of the professional wrestling business. Sione: The Headshrinkers Barbaric New MemberShortly after losing the WWF Tag Team Championship The Headshrinkers would suffer another blow when Samu was sidelined with an injury at the hands of the same team that beat them for the titles, Crush and Bam Bam Bigelow. However Captain Lou Albano and Afa have brought in a new Headshrinker to team with Fatu in cousin Sione, returning to the WWF after a near three year absence. Sione, who has wrestled most of his career under the name The Barbarian, was one of the most feared men in the WWF during his last tenure. On paper this new version of The Headshrinkers looks improved over the old one. At 300 pounds of muscle Sione is pretty much an upgrade over Samu in every way, possessing more power as well as more experience. When you also factor in the aerial ability of Fatu, The New Headshrinkers match up really well with Crush and Bigelow. At Saturday Night's Main Event Crossfire, Crush and Bigelow will defend their titles against the new and improved Headshrinkers in what should be a tremendous tag team match involving four of the most powerful men in the sport today. DeparturesJim Powers, Bastion Booger, and Headshrinker Samu are no longer with the WWF.

News and NotesWWF All Stars vs. The Million Dollar Corporation: Who Will Survive?Over the last year corrupt WWF President Jack Tunney has let "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase and his army of corporate sellouts run roughshod over the WWF. However in late September the balance of power would sway when the WWF Board of Directors appointed Gorilla Monsoon as Co President of the WWF to keep Tunney in check. It would quickly become apparent that the two president's wouldn't be able to coexist as Monsoon being the standup man that he is wasn't going to continue to allow Tunney to show favoritism to Dibiase and Corporation members by being influenced by The Million Dollar Man's money. On the October 17th Raw Tunney and Dibiase would try to bully and intimidate Monsoon into stepping down with the Million Dollar Man's Corporation henchmen (Owen Hart, Earthquake, IRS, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Crush) surrounding Gorilla, ready to pounce if he refused to comply with Dibiase and Tunney's demands. Never one to be intimidated Gorilla refused to back down despite being greatly outnumbered. Dibiase would order his men to attack but before they could do so the quintet of Bret Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Lex Luger, Tatanka, and Randy Savage would come to Gorilla's aid and send the Corporation scurrying. Afterwards Monsoon would say that the WWF wasn't big enough for both him and Tunney. Monsoon then issued a challenge for the upcoming Survivor Series for sole presidency of the WWF in which both Gorilla and Tunney would be represented by a team of five in a Survivor Series Elimination Match. Gorilla being represented by The WWF All Star Team of Bret, Davey Boy, Luger, Tatanka, and Savage and Tunney being represented by Dibiase's five Corporation members; Owen, Earthquake, IRS, Bigelow, and Crush. Whoever's team won would gain sole presidency of the WWF and whoever's team lost would have to leave the WWF. After mulling it over for a bit Tunney would accept Gorilla's challenge thus making the main event for Survivor Series official. On the following week's Raw it was also announced that Chuck Norris, star of the television series Walker Texas Ranger, would be the special guest enforcer for the high stakes main event. Norris a 10th degree black belt and a master of Brazilian jiu-jitsu is one bad hombre and will not be intimidated by any one and will surely make sure that nothing underhanded occurs and that the best team is victorious. On the October 30th Wrestling Challenge The Million Dollar Corporation would show why someone like Norris will be needed at Survivor Series. Tatanka was taking on Barry Hardy when out of nowhere he was attacked by Owen Hart. Tatanka would fight back on Owen flooring The Black Hart with a series of chops. However then Earthquake would appear and blindside Tatanka from behind. Tatanka was then the victim of a vicious two on one attack with Earthquake then delivering three Earthquake splashes to the proud Native American before Lex Luger rushed the ring to put a stop to it, press slamming Owen and then bodyslamming Quake. Unfortunately the damage had already been done though as Tatanka suffered several broken ribs in the attack, putting him out of the Survivor Series and already putting the WWF All Stars at a one man disadvantage just three weeks prior to the big event. However Monsoon has promised that a replacement for Tatanka will be named soon. Whoever is chosen as the replacement could be the deciding factor at Survivor Series on November 23rd when the entire fate of the WWF swings in the balance. Will Lawler Pay The Piper?Jerry "The King" Lawler recently put his foot in his mouth once again when he stated The King's Court was the best talk show segment in the history of the WWF and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and his Piper's Pit couldn't hold a candle to him. Obviously this didn't sit well with The Hot Rod who has recently resurfaced in the WWF after spending the last couple of years in Hollywood. Over the last month or so the two have exchanged insults and verbal barbs. However at Survivor Series it will be a physical war when Piper has his first match in a year and a half when he takes on The King. Who will come out on top in this battle of two of the most outspoken and controversial figures in WWF history? RankingsSinglesBret "Hitman" Hart: WWF World Champion(1) 234, Calgary Alberta 1. News and NotesDiesel PowerOver the last year and a half Shawn Michaels was as cocky and abrasive as ever knowing that he had his giant bodyguard, Diesel, always at his beck and call to bail him out of any trouble that his big mouth had got himself into. However after the Survivor Series it looks like those days are over. Michaels was happy when Diesel was just strictly his bodyguard who stayed in the background and did his dirty work. However after starting to wrestle more towards the end of 1993, Diesel start to come more and more to the forefront as his in ring skill started to improve at a rapid rate. When Michaels was forced to the sidelines due to injuries last spring Diesel would step in as a surrogate in the Heartbreak Kid's feud with Razor Ramon. In May Diesel would accomplish what Michaels failed to do and defeat Ramon to win the Intercontinental Championship. Michaels was happy at first for Diesel but over time that would change. The more success Diesel obtained the more insecure Michaels became. Michaels was no longer the star of their duo and it was beginning to eat at him. In tag team matches after Diesel did all the damage Michaels would demand to be tagged in to get the winning pin. Diesel would oblige as it didn't matter to him as long as his team won. Diesel was always very loyal to Michaels as after all it was him who brought Big Daddy Cool to the WWF. However over time it was starting to become apparent that Michaels was using this loyalty to take advantage of Diesel. It was at Summerslam when the first chinks in the Michaels and Diesel relationship appeared. With Michaels in his corner Diesel would defend his Intercontinental Championship against Ramon who had legendary Chicago Bears running back Walter Payton backing him up. While the referee was tied up with Payton, Michaels would try to interfere on Diesel's behalf and superkick Ramon. Unfortunately the blow missed and hit Diesel instead. Ramon would cover Diesel for a three count to regain the title. Then at Saturday Night's Main Event Crossfire Michaels and Diesel would team up to take on Ramon and The 1-2-3 Kid. An errant superkick would once again accidentally hit Diesel who was knocked out for several minutes outside the ring. However Diesel would come to Michaels rescue just in the nick of time to deliver a big boot to The Kid to allow Shawn to get the pinfall for the victory. However at the Survivor Series it would be three strikes and you're out for Michaels. Diesel would lead his team of The Teamsters also comprising of Michaels, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, and The Quebecers against the Ramon led Bad Guys also consisting of 1-2-3 Kid, Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly, and The Headshrinkers. Despite Diesel being the official captain of his team, Michaels would insist that he was really the leader while shouting orders to the rest of the team. Diesel was incredibly dominant in the match as he would utilize his jackknife powerbomb to score three consecutive eliminations and give his team a four against two advantage against Kid and Holly. However when it looked like Diesel was on the verge of scoring another elimination by taking out the Kid, Michaels ego would once again get in the way. Michaels would insist that Diesel hold the Kid so he could superkick him. An exasperated Diesel would reluctantly agree and for the third time in as many months Michaels would accidentally kick him in the face. This would prove to be the straw that broke the camels back as an angry Diesel, after swatting Double J and Quebecer Pierre away like flies when they attempted to intervene, would stalk a fleeing Michaels to the backstage not even caring that he was counted out. Not even bothering to shower or change out of his ring gear, Michaels would make a hasty retreat to his car and speed off into the night to avoid facing the wrath of his now former friend. At Saturday Night's Main Event Blizzard Brawl Diesel will have his chance to show that he doesn't need Michaels when he faces Bret "Hitman" Hart for the WWF World Championship. Michaels was highly upset when this match was announced as he believes it should be him facing Hart for the title despite the fact that he's basically been a glorified cheerleader for Diesel over the better part of the last year. Diesel has earned the opportunity and he will get it. It will definitely make for an interesting match when he takes on Hart. Diesel will look to use his size and strength advantage to end the match early. Hart on the other hand will try to use his superior stamina to tire the big man out. Will the Diesel run over the Hitman? Or will the big Mack Truck run out of gas? Doink and DinkDoink The Clown is a man who has turned into a big fan favorite over the course of the year and is now even more popular with the arrival of his pint sized sidekick, Dink. The 4'0" tall clown is a lot like his larger counterpart in that he's a big prankster who likes to have fun. Recently Doink and Dink having been having most of their fun at the expense of manager Jim Cornette who had been saying derogatory things about the two. Over the last several weeks Cornette has been hit with his own racket, hit in the face with a pie, and doused with a bucket of water. This has drawn the ire of Cornette's premier wrestler, "Superstar" Scott Steiner, who has vowed to get revenge for his manager against Doink and even Dink if he gets in his way. Doink hasn't taken the threats too seriously which was evident on the December 12th Raw when he went down to ringside to taunt Steiner during his match. Unbeknownst to Steiner, Dink was setting up a trip wire which he tied at the end of the two guard rails in the entrance way. After defeating his opponent Steiner would chase after Doink but before he could catch him was tripped up by the wire and fell to the ground. Doink would laugh before retreating, leaving the embarrassed Superstar fuming. Despite his problems with Doink, Steiner will have to channel his focus elsewhere as at Saturday Night's Main Event Blizzard Brawl he will have the biggest match of his career when he challenges Razor Ramon for the Intercontinental Championship. DeparturesVirgil and Ludvig Borga are no longer with the WWF. Virgil's last appearance was at the Survivor Series Showdown where he was defeated by Jerry Lawler. Borga's last appearance was the November 12th Superstars where he was defeated by Lex Luger in a flag match. RankingsSinglesBret "Hitman" Hart: WWF World Champion(c) 234, Calgary, Alberta 1.
