Very fun main event - just wish Sami/KO had more of a solid direction than just meandering back and forth from tag title match to tag title match until it's time to wrestle Judgement Day again. That's a big issue with the tag divisions in general... no real direction And now with Pretty Deadly hurt it might get worse. |

Not gonna lie a Lucha Priest gimmick would be awesome "El Santo" translates to "The Saint". That close enough? I was thinking Father Tope, who's finishing move is a top rope splash called the Holy Diver |

Liv!! I hope she’s not just canon fodder to get to Raquel. Rhea vs. Liv could be a fun feud post-Summerslam. It is easy to see typical WWE booking. Liv will face Rhea next week and Raquel will save her thus setting Rhea Vs Raquel just in time for Summerslam. |

Thank god they pivoted because Raquel just... aint it to be fair, I think Raquel was a pawn the whole time. Don't think it was an audible. Regardless it does show that Raquel just ain't it They had a lot of potential for her but it feels like her ceiling keeps being "Win the tag titles with someone else" |

Here are my Raw Thoughts:
Another awesome Cody Rhodes Promo. I love seeing his Mom in the crowd. I really wish Dusty Rhodes was still with us, but I know the American Dream is watching from Heaven proud of his son. I figured Brock Lesnar would attack Cody in front of his family. If only Dustin Rhodes wasn't contracted to AEW, he could have saved his brother.
Matt Riddle VS GUNTHER was incredible. I felt every chop & kick. I liked this match better than their match at MITB. Good promo by the 4th Longest IC Champion of All-Time (Over 400 Days as Champion). Good promo by Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez. Awesome brawl with Raquel & Rhea Ripley. That will be a fun match at SummerSlam. Damn, Raquel hurt her knee. So, maybe no Women's Tag Title Match tonight.
Awesome Cody doc coming to Peacock. I will be watching that. I haven't had time to watch anything on the Network besides PPVs & Level Up. And speaking of Peacock, they're increasing the price. I'm cool with it because it's worth it especially since the PPVs have been so awesome.
Great segment with The Judgment Day. RheaRipley was excellent. Domink Mysterio is getting better each week. Finn Balor & Damian Priest were good. And of course Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn were awesome. Nice, the Tag Titles are on the line now. I really hope that Dominik doesn't win the North American Title tomorrow on NXT. That would be a slap in the face to all of theNXT wrestlers that are busting their ass every week especially Wes Lee who has done so much for the Championship.
I missed the Alpha Academy segment. I was out of the room.
This sucks that there has only been 1 match in the first hour of Raw. And the 2nd match was about to begin & they go to commercial. Where's the wrestling?
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez VS Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green was great. I was shocked by the finish. This ends Liv & Raquel's Reign at 16 Days, which is 3rd Shortest of All-Time ahead of Aliyah & Raquel (8/29/22-9/12/22, 14 Days) & Asuka & Alexa (10/31/22-11/5/22, 5 Days) & their 1st Defense. Sonya & Chelsea are the 1st 1st-time Champions since Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey, but 1st since Lita & Becky Lynch where both won the Championship for the 1st time & 1st since The Iiconics in 2019 to win the Tag Team Titles as their 1st Championships in WWE or NXT.
Funny interview with Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green.
Another great recap of Jey Uso & The Bloodline, but I'm tired of seeing Smackdown Recaps on Raw. Keep the shows separate.
Good segment. I don't mind another Seth Rollins VS Finn Balor Match. It would become the 8th match to take place multiple times at SummerSlam.
The Alpha Academy VS The Viking Raiders was a fun Viking Rules Match. Props to Maxxine Dupri for taking that bump through the table & she's only had 1 wrestling match. The Viking Raiders remain undefeated in Viking Rules Match, as the only other match saw them defeat The New Day on Smackdown on August 26, 2022. Titus O'Neil was OK on commentary.
Damn, what a waste of Nikki Cross to have her job out to Shayna Baszler in seconds. And the show continues to go downhill with another horrendous promo by Lousy Ronda Rousey.
OK promo by Ricochet to build to his match with Logan Paul.
The Weakest Link with the WWE Superstars is now, but I will watch it tomorrow on DVR.
Becky Lynch was good, but once Trish Stratus got in the ring & a mic in her hand, it got bad. Trish is not good doing promos. She needs to retire again after her match with Becky at SummerSlam.
At least they can close the feud between Shinsuke Nakamura & Bronson Reed though I still want a Triple Threat with Ricochet.
Shinsuke Nakamura VS Bronson Reed was a great match, but it ends in a DQ with Tommaso Ciampa's interference and just like that we don't get a definitive conclusion of Nakamura VS Reed, but we will get Nakamura VS Ciampa, which will be awesome.
Wow. I like a mad Nakamura. You can call it a heel turn all you want. I don't care about faces or heels. I will cheer for my favorite wrestlers no matter if I'm supposed to boo them or not.
Next week's Raw looks good. By the way, wasn't Stephen Amell supposed to be on Raw tonight? I guess because of the Actors' Strike, he wasn't allowed to be on it.
Please Shawn Michaels, give me an awesome NXT for my Birthday tomorrow. I have to work all day, so I want to come home & enjoy a fun night of wrestling.
Wow, I thought that Seth Rollins was a fan at first when he got in the ring & attacked Finn Balor.
Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn VS The Judgment Day was an excellent match. I wouldn't mind seeing this again at SummerSlam if they do it. I love Liv Morgan attacking Rhea Ripley to set-up a possible match at SummerSlam if Raquel can't wrestle. This was Owens & Zayn's 5th Tag Team Championship Defense, so if they would have lost they would have been the 1st since Omos & AJ Styles who lost to RK-Bro at SummerSlam on 8/21/21 & the 1st since The Usos who lost to The New Day at Battleground on 7/23/17 to lose in their 5th Defense. This extends Owens & Zayn's Reign to 107 Days, which is the 15th Longest Raw Tag Team Championship Reign & 7th Longest Smackdown Tag Team Championship Reign.
