Specifically the Nickelodeon digital channel, not the mainline.
But it also confirms Pluto and other services will also be getting them soon, both in the US and internationally

Makes sense given how often they've been leveraging the aesthetic, really.

For the most part the show still holds up as being really fun, creative, and (often) funny. I'm glad today's kids will be able to see it.

I remember when they came out with the Muckman action figure. He came with his little friend and the package made it seem like they were bad guys. Then they came out with Wingnut and Screwloose and the package made it seem like they were good guys. But when I watched the characters for the first time on the cartoon, it was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE! Muckman and his friend were the good guys, and Wingnut and Screwloose were the bad guys. I was like f*** you, guys who made the action figures!! OKay, I didn't say that but I did wonder why they mixed them up like that.

Yeah I got the series on DVD a bit ago and it really is still a fun show to watch. Animation is a little jank but the writing is surprisingly well done for a late 80s cartoon and the voice acting in particular is really f***ing good.

That series is an odd one for me. I saw the mini series and maybe season after that, mostly cause by the time the show started I was heavy into the Mirage comic.
Then whenever that Turtle Van boxed set of the 87 show came out I got it for her as a Xmas present. Over the course of a few years I saw 90% of the 87 series.
It ain't bad. But nothing I would go back and rewatch. I totally get that if it was my first exposure to TMNT I would love it.

The 87 series by today's standards is dumb, but it's a fun dumb.

I could see it being on Paramount+. If Paramount has a working relationship with Lionsgate as they own the rights to the 1987 TMNT series, I am not surprised at this. After all, Paramount+ also has the 2003 TMNT series.
I bought the DVD set sometime last year. I watched the entire series during that time. I enjoyed it. I even liked the "Red Sky" episodes in the later seasons despite the attempt at trying to be a little more serious.

This is also the first American superhero/action cartoon to be based on a non-Marvel/DC comic (there were Archie cartoons, but those were just comedy cartoons).

Still the best TMNT show of all time. Only if you count the first 5 episodes, and completely ignore everything else. The series becomes a mixed back starting in season 2. 6 episodes a week leading to inconsistent storytelling, animation, and even voice actors. It really doesn't get consistent until they exclusively go to Saturday morning in Season 5. We don't even get to the level of storytelling and action from season 1 until we get to season 8. Honestly, over half the episodes of the OG series are just not good. Some are unwatchable due to the cheap animation studios used for most of the syndicated episdes. I'll take the 2002 and 2012 shows over the 1987 show any day.

I'll take the 2002 and 2012 shows over the 1987 show any day. I stand by what I said. I've watched every episode and love it all. TMNT 2003 is solid but disappears up it's own arse by the lost season onwards and the multiple Shredders got tiring, I can't stand the 2012 show with it's terrible CGI If you like those shows more, fair dues that you can find something in them, but I don't want TMNT to be gritty, edgy, or take itself seriously. I don't give a monkeys about the source material. I grew up on the old show's wacky hijinks, bickering villains, near-the-knuckle sarcastic humour, and the occasional hi-stakes finale whenever they got the Technodrome working. The old show is a lot of fun and I wouldn't change my experiences with it for the world, especially when I can enjoy it with kids of my own.

The complete first season was added to the official Youtube page.
Looks like they don't have the original Chuck Lorre theme so it's a cover. Ah well.
