It's progressed from "three videos and you're out" to a complete block. This is f***ing stupid. By complete block, do you mean a ban? Or just a block until you remove the adblocker? I use UBlock Origin which still works. But as I have a YouTube channel which I make money from, I dont wanna risk a ban lol. This. The perpetual wall. Private browser windows still work, though.

By the way--in case people are interested, my job is my YouTube channel.
I haven't seen an increase or decrease in ad-revenue since YouTube has started introducing blocking ad-blockers. My income has been roughly the same--and no real decline or increase with views either.
Oddly enough though, my longer videos seem to make less now than they did before. Typically--I get on average 2 USD per 1,000 views. But for 10 minute+ videos, it is usually double. But in the past couple of months, that has changed and a 10-mintue with, say 120k views, is getting the same revenue as a 5-minute video with similar views. I am not sure if that is related to the ad-block issue or something else though.
It could just be because viewers tune out around the 9-minute mark as typically, in my videos, the final minute or so is the current fundraiser for Ukraine which I am doing. So it could be people are tuning out before the vid is complete because they've already seen the fundraiser in past videos.
But pretty much, it has had zero effect on me. I was worried that it would put people off watching--but I haven't seen that. T

I got three channels. 1 has stayed the same on views since this started. The other 2 had views rise.
No clue how bad the ads are now,had Premium for 3 years now.

And now it's all of Chrome starting in June.
What a dipshit company.

Prepare for 16 Sports Gambling Pop-Up Windows to open every time you do, well, anything in Chrome.

Well I'd better start using Edge.

I really hate this because I've been using Chrome since the beta and this would be enough to make me drop them. Google you changed man.... Well I'd better start using Edge. The problem is this might effect all Chromium based browsers (don't quote me on that), so Edge might also get hit with this rollout.

Looks like I'll be making the switch to Firefox then.

Like Firefox is Chromium-based but won't deprecate Manifest v2 stuff and will continue to support MV2 extensions even after it switches to MV3. Not sure what Edge's plans are, though if MS was smart they'd follow Firefox's example.

They're sold by their users as one of the last major holdouts against Chrome and Google's dominance of the browser market, while MS, Opera and others all fell in line.

Glad I switched back to using Firefox a month or two back I guess, though that was because of finding the new shit of it just continually rotating what sites came up by default in the address bar seemingly based on how recently you'd been to them ungodly f***ing annoying.

Apparently Youtube now just skips to the end of the video and won't let you watch it at all if it detects an ad-block. So that's really cool.

And now it's all of Chrome starting in June. What a dipshit company. Unless they plan on adding an internal pop-up blocker to these updates, they might as well kiss a lot of users goodbye. I've always used AdBlock for popups, especially on news sites. That it also blocked ads on YouTube was just an added bonus to me.

It keeps trying that with me but manually going back to the start works anyway. I assumed SponsorBlock was bugging (Also, doesn't stop any current version of Vanced)
